Abstract

Citizenship education is a subject that includes important roles that can shape the character and personality of elementary school students. Citizenship education is not just an ordinary subject, but citizenship education can create the next generation who love their country and form human character that is in line with national identity. This writing aims to examine the nature of citizenship education in the development of student character in primary schools/madrasah ibtidaiyah. This writing uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method through several book sources, journals and scientific articles by collecting relevant data then analyzing and studying it in detail and in depth in relation to the discussion material. The results of this research are (1) citizenship education learning which is implemented in everyday life produces students who have good character and are able to think logically and critically in responding to citizenship problems. (2) Character education must be taught in citizenship education because it has an important role in human life with good character.

Abstract

Education is a very important factor for the development of a country. Education helps develop and improve skills and improves the quality of life and human dignity. To date, changes have been made to the curriculum. The curriculum is considered a plan developed to facilitate the teaching and learning process which is the responsibility of the school or educational institution and its teaching staff. (Yulia, 2023). Education in Indonesia has undergone curriculum changes 11 times. Starting from after independence until the latest in 2021-2022. This research aims to compare the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum and the Merdeka Curriculum at State Elementary School 064037 and understand the differences between the two in improving the quality of education. The method used is qualitative research with a content analysis and narrative analysis approach. In-depth content analysis is carried out on written and printed information from mass media to identify message characteristics objectively and systematically. Data was collected through interviews and reviewing controversial mass media news. The research results show that the Merdeka Curriculum, which has only been implemented in grades 1 and 4, gives students greater freedom in the use of knowledge, both inside and outside school, and encourages teacher and student creativity. In contrast, the 2013 Curriculum balances soft skills and hard skills in an integrative manner but still places educators as the main assessors of student abilities. Observations show that the Merdeka Curriculum encourages students to play an active role in learning, with educators acting as facilitators. This change in curriculum leads to a more student-centric approach, where students receive active feedback regarding their self-evaluation. These findings confirm that the Merdeka Curriculum promotes more independent and participatory learning compared to the 2013 Curriculum.

Abstract

This research aims at the importance of disaster preparedness to reduce risk. This research emphasizes the importance of collaboration between government, local communities and related institutions in building disaster resilience. This research examines important steps in disaster preparedness, including public education, risk mapping, preparing emergency plans, strengthening infrastructure, and using technology for early warning systems. This research method uses a qualitative method with a library research approach. Disaster preparedness is a strategic effort that aims to reduce the impact of disasters on humans, the environment and assets. Indonesia, as a country that is vulnerable to various types of natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods and volcanic eruptions, requires a holistic approach to increase the preparedness of society and government.Keywords: Preparedness, Disaster, Risk

Abstract

At the age of 0-5 years, it is a very important period in the development of a child. At this time, the development process takes place quickly. At this time, it is a sensitive period, because during this time children are especially easy to receive stimuli from their environment. At this time, children are ready to do various activities to better understand and master their environment, which is also a golden age. The golden age where children begin to be sensitive to receive various stimulations and various educational efforts from their environment, both intentional and unintentional. The purpose of this research is to find out the characteristics of spiritual development in children aged 0-5 years. This research discusses how physical development, intellectual development, emotional development, social and moral development in children. This research uses a literature study method (library research) which involves explanations from books, journals that are relevant to the object of study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru sekolah dasar di Muhammadiyah Karangturi Yogyakarta, serta faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru sekolah dasar di Muhammadiyah Karangturi Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitik. Untuk mendapatkan data peneliti terjun langsung ke lapangan (field research). Dalam menganalisis data, peneliti secara bertahap menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Selain itu dalam menganalisis kinerja guru-peneliti menggunakan prosedur pengindeksan data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah dalam perannya sebagai pimpinan tertinggi di lembaga ini berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru SD di Muhammadiyah Karangturi. Ini terbukti bahwa (a) Guru siap untuk mengimplementasikan kurikulum baru. (b) Guru menggunakan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif dan inovatif. (c) Guru dapat mengevaluasi pembelajaran siswa dengan persyaratan kurikulum yang berlaku, yaitu aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. (d) Guru tidak hanya mengajar materi tetapi juga tanggung jawab moral.
