Abstract

This study developed and evaluated a Mind Mapping-based e-module as an interactive digital teaching material for the hajj subject in fifth-grade Islamic Religious Education. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, the e-module was designed, produced, and tested for feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness. Expert validation indicated that the product met high feasibility standards, while teacher and student feedback confirmed its practicality in classroom use. Implementation results showed that the e-module effectively enhanced students’ learning motivation and outcomes, supporting active and enjoyable learning in line with the Merdeka Curriculum principles. The findings suggest that the Mind Mapping-based e-module can serve as an innovative solution for integrating technology in elementary Islamic Religious Education, offering a model for developing engaging and student-centered digital teaching materials.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for digital-based interactive learning media that supports junior high school students' understanding of science concepts. The purpose of this study is to develop Google Sites-based learning media and measure its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving learning outcomes. The study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, including the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were teachers and eighth-grade students. The instruments used included expert validation sheets, teacher and student practicality questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. Data were analyzed descriptively for validity and practicality, and used a Paired Sample T-Test to test effectiveness. The results showed that the media obtained a validity score of 87%, teacher practicality 90%, and student practicality 92%. Learning outcomes increased from 55.7% (pretest) to 78.6% (posttest) with a significance value of 0.032 (p < 0.05). In conclusion, this Google Sites-based learning media is valid, practical, and effective, and is suitable for use to improve junior high school students' understanding of science concepts in an interactive and interesting manner.

Abstract

Learning media is one of the supports in growing and increasing students' interest in learning. However, based on the results of initial research through interviews conducted at SDN 14 Labuah, Tanjung Raya District, Agam Regency, it was found that the school did not have adequate learning media and did not utilize them well. Teachers only used existing textbooks and used the whiteboard as a medium for delivering lesson materials. This study aims to develop interactive e-comic learning media for mathematics subjects on the material of integer addition operatioans for third-grade elementary school students. The background of this study is the low interest and learning outcomes of students (only 40% achieved the KKM) at SDN 14 Labuah due to inadequate learning media. This study uses the 4D model Research and Development (R&D) method, which includes the Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate stages. However, this study focuses on the Development stage, namely validation and practicality tests. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed that the e-comic media was declared highly feasible with validation scores of 85.71% from media experts, 88.64% from material experts, and 91.66% from language experts. Furthermore, this media was also deemed highly practical based on teacher (93.18%) and student (93.75%) responses. Thus, it was concluded that this e-comic media is feasible to use and highly effective as a mathematics learning medium in grade III of elementary school.

Abstract

This research was motivated by low student motivation and learning outcomes in the Culinary Basics course at SMKN 6 Padang. Conventional learning models such as lectures and PowerPoint presentations are considered incapable of generating student enthusiasm and engagement in practice-based learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of implementing the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model combined with video media in improving student motivation and learning outcomes in this subject. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection used two main instruments: a learning outcome test to measure cognitive and psychomotor aspects, and a learning motivation questionnaire to measure students' affective factors. These instruments were tested for validity and reliability before use. Data were collected from two classes: an experimental class using PjBL with video media and a control class using the lecture method with PowerPoint. The results of data analysis showed a significant difference between the experimental and control classes. Students learning using the video-assisted PjBL model showed greater improvements in learning motivation and learning outcomes. The significance value obtained from the statistical test was below 0.05, indicating that the use of the video-based PjBL model was proven effective in improving the quality of culinary practical learning in vocational schools. Therefore, the implementation of video-assisted PjBL can be an innovative and engaging alternative learning strategy in vocational schools.

Abstract

Physics learning is a discipline that requires in-depth understanding and a strong grasp of concepts. The use of technology in physics learning has become very essential, such as in the use of PhET interactive simulation software. This article aims to explore literature studies regarding the use of PhET software in the context of physics learning and its positive impact on students' abilities. The literature review method was carried out by searching for articles and journals related to the use of PhET in physics learning. The study results show that the use of PhET in physics learning can increase students' understanding of physics concepts and motivate them to study physics. Strategies for using PhET in physics learning include using it as a tool in explaining physics concepts, creating virtual experiments by students, and preparing virtual experiment reports. This article is an effective and efficient alternative for increasing students' understanding of PhET in physics learning

Abstract

Academic dishonesty and students' inability to contextualize learning, particularly in physics, contribute to poor understanding. This study investigates the impact of the Archerys ID Model on students' moral character, ethics, and learning performance in physics. The model is expected to enhance moral and ethical values while improving learning performance compared to conventional methods. A quasi-experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group was used, involving two classes: an experimental class using the Archerys ID Model and a control class using traditional methods. Pretests and posttests measured changes in moral character, ethics, and learning performance, and data were analyzed using an Independent T-Test. The independent T-Test analysis shows that the Archerys ID Model significantly enhances students' moral character, ethics, and learning performance in physics for grade XI at SMAN 12 Padang, with significance values of 0.032, 0.023, and 0.031, respectively. These findings indicate that the Archerys ID Model is more effective than the TPACK instructional design model in fostering character and academic outcomes.
