Abstract

This study investigates the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in educational systems, aiming to analyze its current state, evaluate its impact on teaching and learning, explore its role in accessibility, and recommend optimal integration strategies. A structured questionnaire was designed and distributed online to gather data from 140 participants, including lecturers and students across various faculties. The questionnaire captured demographic information, perceptions of ICT integration effectiveness, challenges faced, and its impact on teaching methods and student learning outcomes. Data analysis revealed a generally positive outlook on ICT integration effectiveness, with a significant proportion of respondents perceiving it as moderately to extremely effective. Challenges faced in integrating ICT varied among respondents, with a mixed perception ranging from moderate to high levels. However, respondents acknowledged the positive impact of ICT on teaching methods and student learning outcomes, highlighting its potential to enhance educational experiences. Furthermore, the study found that ICT initiatives contribute significantly to promoting inclusivity in education, emphasizing the importance of considering diverse stakeholder perspectives. Based on the findings, actionable recommendations were proposed for optimizing ICT integration to improve educational quality. Overall, the study provides valuable insights into the current state of ICT integration in educational systems and offers practical implications for educators, policymakers, and stakeholders.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of digital empowerment on female students in online university settings, focusing on internet connectivity, digital tools, and barriers to success. Using a survey distributed through Google Forms, we collected responses from 120 female participants across four faculties: Medical, Economics, Computer Science, and Education. The purpose was to assess how reliable internet access influences academic performance and engagement, evaluate the effectiveness of digital resources for professional skill development, and identify obstacles affecting women's participation. Results revealed that reliable internet access significantly enhances academic performance and engagement. Digital tools were highly rated for their effectiveness in skill development and career advancement. However, technological limitations and socio-economic factors were identified as major barriers. The findings suggest that while online universities offer valuable opportunities, addressing technological and socio-economic challenges is crucial for maximizing their benefits. Recommendations include improving internet infrastructure and providing targeted support to overcome socio-economic barriers. Future research should explore the longitudinal effects of digital empowerment initiatives and their impact on long-term academic and career outcomes for women.

Abstract

Antibiotic resistance poses a significant global health challenge, exacerbated by inappropriate self-medication practices. This study explores the level of awareness and practices concerning antibiotic use among university students in Afghanistan. The research aimed to evaluate university students' knowledge of antibiotic resistance, their self-medication behaviors, and overall understanding of appropriate antibiotic use. The goal was to identify gaps in knowledge and inform strategies for educational interventions. An online survey was administered via Google Forms to 150 students from various provinces in Afghanistan. Participants were selected to represent a diverse geographical distribution, including Kabul (35.71%) and seven other provinces. The survey assessed participants' knowledge about antibiotics, awareness of resistance risks, and self-medication practices. The survey results indicated a moderate level of awareness about antibiotic resistance among students. Despite this, many students reported engaging in self-medication. Knowledge deficiencies were observed regarding the proper use of antibiotics and the implications of resistance. The study found significant variability in understanding, with some students showing high confidence while others lacked basic knowledge. The study underscores the need for targeted educational programs to improve awareness and correct misconceptions about antibiotics among university students. Addressing these knowledge gaps is essential for promoting responsible antibiotic use and combating resistance. Future research should evaluate the impact of such educational interventions on altering self-medication behaviors and enhancing antibiotic stewardship.

Abstract

The role of women in shaping the future of technology has become a critical area of focus in recent years, with efforts aimed at addressing gender disparities and promoting inclusivity in tech fields. The research examines educational barriers, workplace gender biases, mentorship programs, and the impact of female entrepreneurship on innovation within the technology sector. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing a survey with 120 participants from four faculties—Medical, Computer Science, Social Science, and Education—across different age groups. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to uncover patterns and insights. The results indicate that educational barriers, such as the lack of encouragement for women in STEM fields, remain a significant challenge. Gender biases in the workplace were also found to negatively affect career advancement opportunities for women in technology, with participants reporting substantial concerns regarding systemic discrimination. However, mentorship programs were seen as highly effective in encouraging women to pursue careers in technology, and female entrepreneurship was perceived as having a notable impact on innovation within the sector. The findings suggest that while challenges persist, there are emerging opportunities to enhance women’s contributions to technology, particularly through education, mentorship, and support for female entrepreneurs. In conclusion, the study emphasizes the need for continued efforts to address gender inequality in technology fields, with a focus on fostering supportive environments that enable women to thrive in the industry.

Abstract

This study explores the role of entrepreneurship in achieving financial independence and fostering community development, with a specific focus on gender and societal norms. The problem addressed is the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs due to cultural expectations, limited access to resources, and difficulties in balancing family responsibilities with business operations. The purpose of this research is to examine how women-led businesses contribute to financial independence and whether societal norms support or hinder their entrepreneurial endeavors. A stratified random sampling method was used to select 180 participants, including both male and female entrepreneurs from diverse industries and geographical regions. Data was collected using a structured survey with Likert-scale and open-ended questions, and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics to identify trends and challenges. The results indicate that entrepreneurship is widely seen as a pathway to financial independence. However, many respondents, particularly women, reported challenges in securing funding and balancing business with family obligations. Despite these obstacles, women-led businesses were found to significantly contribute to community development by providing employment and creating opportunities for others. In conclusion, while women entrepreneurs face substantial barriers, their businesses play a vital role in both economic and social empowerments. Policy interventions that address these challenges are necessary to fully harness the potential of women-led entrepreneurship.
