Abstract

This study explores the metamorphosis of productive zakat through the integration of women empowerment in the Kampung Zakat (Zakat Village) program initiated by BAZNAS in Besole Village, Besuki District, Tulungagung Regency. Employing a qualitative approach based on interviews, observations, and documentation, the study reveals that productive zakat does not merely provide capital assistance, but also initiates a transformation process, economically, socially, and spiritually. Women, especially widows and members of low-income families, became empowered to support their households through small enterprises. More importantly, they were also encouraged to engage in daily giving practices (such as sadaqah subuh), which fostered spiritual growth and nurtures the transition from mustahik (zakat recipient) to muzakki (zakat contributor). This indicateed a metamorphosis from passive dependence to active contribution. The findings affirmed that productive zakat, when combined with structured empowerment and spiritual reinforcement, became an effective tool in realizing SDGs Goals 1 (No Poverty) and 5 (Gender Equality). This study contributes to the field of Islamic philanthropy and zakat management by proposing a contextual, replicable empowerment model that aligns with global development goals while offering practical implications for public policy and localized zakat distribution strategies

Abstract

The diversity of products on the market today raises various kinds of consumer considerations when making purchases. Consumers will consider the basics they have before making a purchase. Factors that influence consumers before making a purchase come from internal and external consumers. In this study, consumer behavior analysis is seen based on internal factors such as intrinsic religiosity, attitude, and moral efficacy. This study analyzes the effect of intrinsic religiosity on purchase intention by mediating attitude and moral efficacy. This study examines the behavior of consumers of cosmetic products in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and obtained a sample of 92 respondents. The research data were analyzed using the Smart PLS 4.0 software to test validity, reliability, and bootstrapping. The results of the study proved intrinsic religiosity does not negatively affect purchase intention, intrinsic religiosity has no positive effect on attitude, intrinsic religiosity has a positive effect on moral efficacy, attitude negatively affects purchase intention, moral efficacy has no negative effect on purchase intention,  attitude does not mediate the influence of intrinsic religiosity on purchase intention, and moral efficacy did not mediate the effect of intrinsic religiosity on purchase intention.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of financial literacy, knowledge awareness, price affordability, and trust in eco-labels on the intention to buy eco-friendly coffee in Indonesia. Using an explanatory quantitative approach with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and data from 300 respondents, the findings reveal that price affordability significantly affects green purchase intention, while financial literacy has no direct effect. Knowledge awareness enhances trust in eco-labels, which mediates the relationship between knowledge awareness and green purchase intention. Moreover, price affordability moderates the effect of knowledge awareness on green purchase intention. These results highlight the importance of balancing financial considerations and ecological awareness to promote sustainable coffee consumption.

Abstract

The spiritual intelligence of early childhood remains relatively low; thus, innovative, contextual, and experiential-based Islamic education strategies are required to support the spiritual, social, emotional, and physical development of children. This study aims to enhance children's spiritual abilities through interactive, contextually relevant outdoor Islamic Religious Education activities. The research employed an experimental design with observational data from 15 students. Data analysis was conducted using validity testing and t-tests in SPSS. The study's pretest results indicated low to moderate spiritual abilities in early childhood (average score 1.33–1.67), particularly in identifying religion, mimicking worship movements, reciting prayers, and distinguishing between good and bad behaviour. Observation of Outdoor Islamic Religious Education activities revealed improvement, with children displaying increased enthusiasm, greater orderliness in the mosque/musholla, greater independence during ablution, greater mimicry of prayer movements, and greater diligence in reading the Qur'an (average score 2–3, categorized as Moderate–Good). The posttest showed a significant improvement (average score 2.33–2.67), reflecting a better understanding of religious teachings, improved worship skills, and positive behaviour. Pearson validity test (r=0.977, p=0.000) and the t-test (p=0.000) confirmed that the data were valid and showed a significant increase in spiritual intelligence. In conclusion, outdoor Islamic Religious Education activities enhance religious understanding, worship skills, positive behaviour, and motor, coordination, and social skills, with statistically significant results

Abstract

Integrating blockchain technology in the halal supply chain presents a transformative approach to enhancing transparency, efficiency, and compliance with halal certification standards. This study conducts a comparative policy analysis between Indonesia and Malaysia, examining the regulatory frameworks, technological readiness, and strategic adoption models influencing blockchain implementation. Using a mixed-method approach, we employ SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) analysis to identify key drivers and potential growth areas and QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) to evaluate strategic alternatives for blockchain adoption. Our findings highlight that Indonesia focuses on strengthening halal certification transparency, whereas Malaysia has progressed further in integrating blockchain within logistics and international halal trade. While both countries recognize blockchain’s potential in achieving SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequality), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), challenges remain in technological accessibility, regulatory standardization, and industry-wide adoption. The study recommends a hybrid approach, combining national blockchain adoption to enhance certification integrity with regional collaboration to standardize halal blockchain frameworks globally. This research contributes to the ongoing discourse on blockchain’s role in sustainable supply chain management and provides actionable insights for policymakers, industry leaders, and halal certification bodies.

Abstract

This study investigates how deliberate, play-centred collaboration between parents and preschool teachers influences children’s cognitive development, addressing a research gap on coordinated home–school play strategies in Indonesian early childhood settings. Using a mixed-methods quasi-experimental design, 92 preschoolers (M = 5.1 years), 8 classroom teachers, and 92 parents from 4 urban preschools participated in an 8-week Partners in Play intervention. Parent–teacher dyads co-planned weekly play modules aligned with Vygotskian guided-play principles. Children’s working memory, verbal reasoning, and cognitive flexibility were assessed using adapted WPPSI-IV subtests before and after the intervention. At the same time, observational rubrics and parent play logs triangulated quantitative gains with qualitative insights. ANCOVA was used to test mean-score differences, and thematic coding in NVivo 14 examined communication patterns. Children in the intervention group outperformed controls in working memory (η² = 0.18) and cognitive flexibility (η² = 0.12). At the same time, gains in verbal reasoning approached significance (p = .07). Qualitative findings identified three reinforcing mechanisms: a shared play language that scaffolded metacognition; consistent cognitive challenges across home and school contexts; and reciprocal feedback loops that enabled weekly refinement of play activities. Reported barriers included limited parental time and teachers’ initial uncertainty in co-designing home-based activities. Although the modest sample size and urban focus limit generalisability, the findings offer an evidence-based, low-cost implementation model for early childhood programmes through brief co-planning workshops, a shared play glossary, and simple progress-sharing tools. This study contributes to broader debates on home–school partnership and play-based learning in early childhood education by providing experimental evidence that structured parent–teacher collaboration functions as an active cognitive scaffold within guided play, and is relevant beyond Indonesia because similar challenges of fragmented learning environments and uneven family engagement are evident across diverse ECE contexts.
