Abstract

The aim of this outreach is to increase the knowledge and awareness of students at Ratu Samban University, North Bengkulu about the magnitude of the dangers of cigarettes for passive smokers around them. This socialization was attended by 30 students from Ratu Samban University, North Bengkulu. This socialization is carried out by providing material regarding the bad effects of cigarettes on passive smokers and discussions about prevention that can be carried out by the community as a form of prevention so that they are not exposed to passive smoking, namely 1) Avoid gathering with people who smoke by looking for a place that has fresh air free of cigarette smoke, 2) Prohibit people from smoking at home, this is useful for protecting yourself and your family from exposure to cigarette smoke, 3) When you are in a public place, such as an office, cafe or restaurant, choose a room that is smoke-free, 4) Use a mask regularly. correctly when leaving the house to avoid exposure to cigarette smoke, 5) Politely remind smokers who smoke anywhere.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Padang Jaya, Kecamatan Padang Jaya, Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara, dengan beberapa tahapan yaitu Sosialisasi dan Pendidikan Awal, Pelatihan Praktis Budidaya Organik, serta Evaluasi dan Pengembangan Program. Tahap pertama mencakup sosialisasi mengenai bahaya penggunaan bahan kimia dalam pertanian dan manfaat budidaya sayuran organik melalui seminar, lokakarya, dan diskusi kelompok terarah. Tahap kedua adalah pelatihan praktis tentang teknik budidaya sayuran organik, yang meliputi demonstrasi pembuatan pupuk kompos, penggunaan pestisida alami, dan teknik pengolahan tanah yang ramah lingkungan. Tahap terakhir adalah evaluasi program untuk menilai efektivitas dan dampak kegiatan, termasuk pengumpulan data dan analisis hasil budidaya serta survei kepuasan dan dampak ekonomi bagi peserta. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat mengenai budidaya sayuran organik, dengan 85% peserta melaporkan pemahaman yang lebih baik. Penggunaan bahan kimia dalam pertanian berkurang hingga 70% untuk pestisida dan 60% untuk pupuk, digantikan oleh penggunaan pupuk organik dan pestisida alami. Indikator keberhasilan ini didukung oleh antusiasme dan komitmen masyarakat dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengamdian ini.

Abstract

With the digital world expanding into the marketing sector, UMKM need to adapt to the digital world. The benefits of UMKM being able to access online by being involved in the digital world and developing capabilities in using the marketplace are significant business benefits both in terms of income, job opportunities, innovation and competitiveness (Jannatin et al., 2020). As a digital marketing medium that is currently in great demand, one of them is Instagram. Where many people from various circles of our society have used the Instagram application as a communication medium and as an application for shopping. So we also want to encourage small and medium businesses to use Instagram media for product sales activities

Abstract

This study aims to identify the application of the marketing mix model as a marketing communication strategy for increasing the number of tourist visits to elephant training centres (PLG). This study used the descriptive-qualitative method. The survey results show that marketing communications carried out by natural tourism managers at elephant training centres (PLG) with a marketing mix, personal selling, word-of-mouth marketing (WOM), and direct marketing can increase tourist visits to the elephant training centre. The supporting factors for the marketing communication strategy are the high tourism potential and information and communication technology development. At the same time, the inhibiting factors are limited funds, damaged roads to tourist attractions, and limited internet networks.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The porpuse of this study is to find out the effect of human resource capacity, the utilization of information technology and accounting internal control for financial reporting information on the value of Bengkulu city government. The data used is primary data obtained from the results of questionnaires to the KK, BPM dan BPG Work Unit (SKPD) Bengkulu City Government. The samples used in the study were 55 respondents. Data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The research proves that the human resource capacity, utilization of information technology and accounting internal control positive effect on the value of financial reporting information to the government of Bengkulu

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the intentions of Generation Z Muslims in Bengkulu Province to visit halal tourism destinations. The variables examined include subjective norms, attitudes, perceived behavioral control, halal awareness, and religiosity as a moderating variable. The study employs a quantitative approach, with data collected through surveys of Generation Z Muslim respondents in Bengkulu Province. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings indicate that subjective norms and attitudes significantly influence travel intentions. This research provides practical implications for tourism managers in Bengkulu to enhance the appeal of halal destinations by promoting religious values and improving Muslim-friendly facilities.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Green HD Waste Bank in increasing the income of contractual employees in the RSHD area of Bengkulu City. Green HD Waste Bank was initially established to support environmental sustainability by encouraging waste separation and recycling within the community. Over time, it has also proven to offer economic benefits, particularly for contractual staff at RSHD Bengkulu City who participate as members or clients of the waste bank. Using a qualitative research approach, this study conducted in-depth interviews with the waste bank's manager, employees, and clients to understand the dual role of Green HD Waste Bank in environmental preservation and income enhancement. Findings indicate that Green HD Waste Bank not only effectively contributes to a cleaner and more sustainable environment but also provides supplemental income, thus enhancing the financial well-being of contractual employees involved in the program.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the influence of accounting information system, leadership style and motivation to the employee’s performance of conventional bank in Bengkulu City. The sample of this research were 65 employees from conventional bank in Bengkulu City. Data is collected using the instrument in the form of questionnaires. The instrument is calibrated using the validity of items and reliability coefficient. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis  with SPSS 21. The results show that accounting information system, leadership style and work motivation has a positive and significant influence on the employee’s performance of conventional bank in Bengkulu City

Abstract

Household economic empowerment is one of the government's efforts to improve the welfare of the community. In its implementation, this effort is carried out by utilizing natural resources and potentials that exist in the environment around the house where the community itself lives. For the community in Penembang Village, Bengkulu Tengah Regency, household waste has not been utilized optimally, this is due to the lack of knowledge about the management and utilization of household waste. One way that can be done as a solution to this problem is to conduct counseling and training on household waste management to the community in Penembang village. In the counseling, household waste processing practices are also carried out, especially organic waste.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh etika profesi dan independensi auditor terhadap kualitas audit pada Kantor Akuntan Publik (KAP) di Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peran auditor dalam menjaga integritas laporan keuangan serta maraknya kasus korupsi yang menyoroti kualitas audit. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 20 auditor yang bekerja di KAP di Kota Bengkulu. Data dianalisis meinggunakan reigreisi lineiar beirganda deingan bantuan SPSS. Hasil peineilitian meinunjukkan bahwa baik eitika profeisi maupun indeipeindeinsi auditor beirpeingaruh signifikan teirhadap kualitas audit, baik seicara parsial maupun simultan. Seicara simultan, keidua variabeil meinjeilaskan 81,2% variasi kualitas audit (R² = 0,812). Peineilitian ini meineigaskan peintingnya peineirapan eitika dan indeipeindeinsi dalam peilaksanaan audit guna meiningkatkan keipeircayaan publik teirhadap hasil audit.
