Abstract

Caring for a corpse is an action that needs to be learned because in the Islamic religion it is obligatory if there is no one to carry it out. This community service aims to increase understanding about corpse care in theory and increase understanding about corpse care in practice at the Nurul Mushofa Islamic Boarding School, Tambak Lekok Village and Darun Najah MTs, Tampung Lekok Village, Pasuruan. Basic research on this service activity was carried out using the Participatory Action Research method. The results of this service show that students at the Nurul Mushofa Islamic Boarding School, Tambak Lekok Village and students at MTs Darun Najah, Tampung Lekok Village, Pasuruan have increased their understanding of theoretical and practical corpse care.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pendampingan dan mereview Kurikulum Merdeka dengan melihat minat siswa. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan guru-guru telah memahami terkait kurikulum merdeka dan telah mampu mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka dalam sebuah perencanaan pembelajaran dalam modul ajar sesuai dengan panduan pembelajaran dan asesmen pendidikan usia dini, pendidikan dasar, dan menengah. Asesmen pembelajaran diharapkan dapat mengukur aspek yang seharusnya diukur dan bersifat holistik

Abstract

Education aims to enhance the quality of individual lives and provide an understanding of the meaning of life. Studying the reasons and strategies for living a good life makes education a means for individuals to fulfill their responsibilities as stewards on earth. Character education encompasses the application of character values that include aspects of knowledge, will, awareness, and action. The presence of teachers, particularly Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, significantly influences the success of character formation in students at school. This research aims to determine the implementation of competencies of PAI teachers in shaping student character and the supporting and inhibiting factors in this process. The type of research conducted is qualitative descriptive, with the research subjects consisting of three students, one Guidance and Counseling (BK) teacher, and two PAI teachers at SMA Wahid Hasyim II Taman Sidoarjo. The data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation, with instruments in the form of observation sheets and interview sheets. In data analysis, the researcher performed data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the analysis indicate that PAI teachers at SMA Wahid Hasyim II Taman Sidoarjo have implemented four competencies, namely pedagogical competence, personality competence, social competence, and professional competence. In addition, there are two factors that influence the formation of students' religious character and discipline, namely internal factors (will, customs/habits, and personality of the students) and external factors (education and environment). This research is expected to serve as a reference for future researchers interested in analyzing the role of teachers in the formation of student character.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses internalisasi religiusitas dan kedisiplinan siswa SMA Al-Islam Krian melalui pembiasaan sholat dhuha. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research). Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang dilakukan secara langsung di lokasi penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembiasaan sholat dhuha yang dilaksanakan secara rutin setiap hari dengan jadwal yang konsisten, alur kegiatan yang terstruktur, serta keteladanan guru sebagai imam berperan penting dalam menanamkan nilai religius dan membentuk sikap disiplin siswa. Internalisasi nilai tersebut tercermin dalam sikap ketepatan waktu, kepatuhan terhadap aturan, ketertiban selama kegiatan dan tanggung jawab siswa dalam menjalankan kewajibannya. Faktor pendukung keberhasilan program meliputi keteladanan guru, penjadwalan yang teratur, dan lingkungan sekolah yang religius. Sementara faktor penghambat berasal dari rendahnya kesadaran sebagian siswa yang belum terbiasa melaksanakan sholat dhuha secara rutin. Dengan pendampingan dan pengawasan yang berkelanjutan, pembiasaan sholat dhuha terbukti efektif sebagai strategi pendidikan karakter dalam mengintegrasikan nilai religiusitas dan kedisiplinan siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse the role of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers in shaping the noble character of students at Al Islam Krian High School. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data collection methods were carried out through direct and systematic observation of IRE learning activities, teacher and student interactions, and religious culture in the school environment. In addition, supporting data was obtained through documentation studies and literature reviews relevant to character education and morals from an Islamic perspective. The collected data was analysed using thematic analysis techniques, namely by grouping, interpreting, and drawing meaning from patterns of behaviour and learning strategies applied by PAI teachers. The results of the study indicate that PAI teachers have a strategic and multidimensional role in shaping students' noble morals, namely as moral role models, spiritual guides, and behavioural mentors. These roles are realised through exemplary attitudes, the habit of incorporating Islamic values into teaching and learning activities, the integration of worship practices into school culture, and continuous moral guidance. These findings confirm that the formation of noble character in students can be effective if supported by consistent exemplary behaviour from teachers, structured religious programmes, and a school environment conducive to the internalisation of Islamic values.

Abstract

This paper critically examines the book Marriage Guidance for Prospective Brides and Grooms published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia by highlighting the absence of integration of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in the construction of family education. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach based on content analysis of the substance of the book's material. The results of the study indicate that the book emphasizes administrative, psychological, and reproductive health aspects, but does not yet present a systematic framework for family education based on PAI values. The concept of family education, both the relationship between husband and wife, wife and husband, and both towards children, is not formulated as a continuous pedagogical process. In fact, from an Islamic perspective, the family is the first madrasah (al-madrasah al-ūlā) for the formation of children's faith, worship, and morals. In addition, the book does not include procedures, stages, or strategies for resolving family conflicts that are structured as an effort to achieve a sakinah family. The absence of this normative-educational framework has implications for weak theological and pedagogical foundations in building a family oriented towards Islamic values. Therefore, it is necessary to reconstruct the guidance materials for prospective brides and grooms by integrating the Islamic Religious Education paradigm as the basis for family education. This ensures that the family is understood not only as a social institution but also as an educational institution for faith, morals, and civilization.
