Abstract

AbstractThe Merdeka Curriculum encourages skilled teachers in utilizing technology that aims to improve the quality of learning in schools. Focusing on important elements of the Independent Curriculum, one of which is basic literacy, including digital literacy. In fact, elementary school teachers are not technologically literate and are not proficient in using the latest applications that can be used in making learning media. The urgency of research is in the background of low student learning outcomes due to lack of maximum understanding of the material, this must be overcome as an effort to improve student cognitive. This study aims to determine the ability to understand material before and after the application of Virtual Reality-based learning media and to determine the effectiveness of Virtual Reality-based learning media in improving the comprehension ability of elementary school students. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of experimental research using the design of the pretest-posttest group research method. that is, the experimental group was given a pretest before treatment, then given a posttest after treatment The results showed that virtual reality-based learning media applied in elementary science learning material "there is anything on our earth" can effectively increase student understanding. This is shown from the paired sample test results that obtain sig results of 0.000 < 0.05, it can be concluded that virtual reality (VR)-based learning media is effective in increasing material understanding.

Abstract

The diversity of characteristics and learning styles among elementary school students requires educators to create enjoyable and meaningful learning experiences. Differentiated instruction has become one of the models implemented in the Merdeka Curriculum, allowing students the freedom to choose their learning styles. The point of this study is to look into how important differentiated learning is at Batealit 2 elementary schools so that teachers can figure out how to use it with students who have different needs and ways of learning. a qualitative descriptive method in this study is qualitative descriptive with a case study approach. We collected data through direct observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results indicate that the learning strategy employed to create meaningful learning experiences for students is through differentiated instruction. The learning process takes into account the diverse characteristics and learning styles of the students. There are three learning styles among the fourth-grade students at Batealit 2 elementary school: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic, which encourages educators to create learning experiences tailored to the children's learning styles. Through differentiated instruction, students have the opportunity to explore their identities, abilities, skills, and knowledge.

Abstract

The high volume of tomatoes during the peak harvest season often results in low selling prices and financial losses for farmers. This problem is exacerbated by the limited shelf life of tomatoes and the lack of skills in processing the harvest into high-value products. To address this problem, a leadership project was implemented to improve the skills of family welfare empowerment (FWE) mothers in the Dirgantara Asri Housing Complex in utilising tomato harvests to make products with high market value. The purpose of this workshop was to improve the skills of the community, especially among FWE mothers in the Dirgantara Asri Housing Complex, through training in processing tomatoes into a candied product called “Torakur” (Tomatoes with Date Flavour), which has significant market potential. Furthermore, participants are expected to market this processed product directly and through social media promotion efforts. The implementation method includes delivering educational materials, demonstrations of processing tomatoes into “Torakur,” and simple packaging and marketing techniques, both directly and digitally. This workshop aims to improve the skills of FWE mothers in producing and marketing “Torakur” independently, thereby creating sustainable local business opportunities. The measurement results were 100% very satisfied and 87.25% very useful. The results of this community service initiative show that the workshop has positively impacted community empowerment and strengthened interdisciplinary collaboration.
