Abstract

The process of registering new students (PMB) for sharing information displayed on the website based PMB information system. However, constraints in the usage of the website are prospective students must monitor the website frequently to obtain information. If not accordingly a student is at risk of lagging behind the latest information. The research aims to expand a registration information system on the enrollment of student-based websites and developed into an Android-based application. So it is very easy for students to access PMB information, and registration through the Android application. This study designed an Android-based registration information system application using the waterfall method, brute force algorithm, integrated realtime firebase database and firebase storage cloud. The results of testing the brute force algorithm on the word search "S1 Informatics Engineering" with the input string "Informatics" carried out 8 steps of searching. These results by calculating the parameters of cyclomate complexity, region, and independent path from whitebox tests obtained the same results, the amount of 16. The results of testing blackbox method declared successful and as expected. So it can be concluded the development of an online smart register information apply  the brute force algorithm is said to be feasible to implementation in the process of registering new students in accordance with the testing that has been done.

Abstract

Student academic accomplishment is the foremost focus of every educational institution. In developing student achievement in educational institutions, the researchers finally created a new research area, namely educational data mining (EDM). How the Feature Selection algorithm works is by removing unrelated data from educational datasets; therefore, this algorithm can improve the classification performance managed in EDM techniques. This research presents an analysis of the performance of the Feature Selection (FS) algorithm from the student dataset. The results received from other FS algorithms and classifiers will help other researchers to gain some best combination regarding Feature Selection algorithms and the classification. Selecting features that are relevant for student forecast models is a sensitive problem to stakeholders in education because they must make decisions based on the results of the prediction models. For the future, our paper seeks to play a decisive part while developing quality concerning education, as well as guiding different researchers in conducting educational interventions.

Abstract

In this paper, a new technique of agglomerative hierarchical clustering (AHC), which is known as SLG (single linkage dissimilarity increment distribution, global cumulative score standard), can work well in analyzing students' activity in online learning as evidenced by obtaining the highest score in testing the validity index of cophenetic correlation coefficient (CPCC) ie 0.9237, 0.9015, 0.9967, 0.8853, 0.9875 of the five datasets compared with conventional agglomerative hierarchical clustering methods.

Abstract

When many users access a website at the same time. So when it can make the web server to accommodate excessive loads because it can no longer accommodate the number of requests received. And that usually happens when a single web server or single. However, using the Round Robin load balancing method and also Haproxy as a load balancer can help regulate load sharing on each server. With testing done on 250 users, 500 users, 750 users, up to 1000 users and using a static web. So you can see the CPU usage that is used by the user load that is tested at the time after performing. The results of testing using haproxy run better than a single server and two servers. By using Apache benchmark in calculating Throughput and Time per request between a single server, two servers and running all servers using Haproxy. For testing the presentation on the CPU that is used on 250 users is 31.9% the lowest but there is an increase in testing 1000 users, reaching 54.5%. The test results on two servers in testing 250 users, 500 users, 750 users, and 1000 users produced 62.5% -68.7% results. And by testing on a single server RAM usage in testing 250 users, 500 users, 750 users, and 1000 users which reached about 91% -96%. With better test results using haproxy load balancing than using a single server or two servers. Because the use of a single server and two servers almost reached overload. Which means the time needed to handle the load is load balancing using haproxy better than a single server to more quickly handle requests, time per second and CPU usage.

Abstract

Local Area Network is currently often used to minimize a public work, different network segmentation in a building requires attention in designing a network that has dense traffic and often occurs down and vails over on a network flow, certainly requires performance optimal and efficient network, by way of network encapsulation with one channel and dividing each network segmentation by VLAN. The purpose of this paper is to apply a design by optimizing a network using the network redundancy method to create a more optimal network. This redundancy method is a method that moves a network path when downtime occurs on one of the routers that are automatically changed to an active router and a standby router. In the implementation of the design using GNS3 software to create network topology and design. With the results of tests that have been carried out using the simulator, packet loss from using the HSRP method is at VLAN10 0.11%, VLAN20 0.13%, VLAN30 0.30%, VLAN40 0.13%, VLAN50 0.22% AND VLAN60 0.16%. So the purpose of research makes a network more optimal and flexible

Abstract

Perkembangan infrastruktur jaringan dalam navigasi penerbangan saat ini sangat pesat, sehingga diperlukan adanya suatu manajemen perangkat jaringan untuk mengelola ketersediaan ADSB dan data radar. Untuk mengelola perangkat jaringan tersebut, dibutuhkan suatu sistem seperti NMS. NMS merupakan suatu sistem untuk mengelola perangkat-perangkat jaringan berbasis IP. Untuk menjalankan NMS, dibutuhkan suatu aturan atau protokol yang mendasari sistem tersebut, protokol tersebut adalah SNMP. Protokol SNMP memungkinkan administrator untuk mengelola dan mengatur kinerja perangkat jaringan secara jarak jauh. Pada artikel ini akan dipaparkan “Implementasi Network Monitoring System untuk ADSB dan data radar Penerbangan berbasis PRTG”. Implementasi NMS ini menggunakan sebuah aplikasi yaitu PRTG. PRTG digunakan untuk memantau penggunaan bandwidth terhadap ADSB dan data radar serta memantau kondisi semua perangkat. Pengukuran berbasis SNMP hanya berbasis pada port. Software ini juga memungkinkan untuk secara cepat mempersiapkan dan menjalankan sebuah proses pemantauan untuk sebuah jaringan tertentu. Dengan PRTG ini maka dengan mudah dapat mengetahui jumlah data radar dan ADSB yang mengalir melalui perangkat router serta mengetahui kondisi semua perangkat router yang terhubung dengan PRTG serta mempercepat penanganan jika terjadi gangguan dengan adanya notifikasi.

Abstract

Virtual Private LAN Service is already very popular among the enterprise industry which is a point to point network or multipoint to multipoint l2VPN service, VPLS provides transparent bridge between customers connected to geographically dispersed locations delivered via MPLS backbone by utilizing features such as MPLS Fast reroute and traffic engineering. Redundant paths can be applied to the VPLS service on the access side and backbone to maintain link performance that aims to minimize down time during network fails on the VPLS service. In this research, the implementation of redundant path using RSTP to prevent forwarding loop switching network in VPLS service to protect end-to-end data traffic with VPLS mesh-pseudowire and spoke-pesudowire with RSTP is the most optimal result compared to STP and build reliable network System with high performance for use in modern industry.

Abstract

There has been lacking of sovereignty of energy in Indonesia as a logical consequence of the state’s ineffectiveness to uphold the mandate promulgated by the 1945 Constitution. The country has been trapped in global capitalism resulting in the weakening position of Indonesia, and eventually weakening political economic and technological power of both state and the society. It brings with it negative impacts on empowerment of human resources that should otherwise develop expertise in coping with the current development of science and technology. The inflow of foreign investment has not made the state strong enough to pave the way for self help to assure welfare of the vast people. This paper is an account of assessing this issue of weak state of Indonesia to enable stronger position in sovereignty of energy and the assurance of human resources development in science and technology.

Abstract

Kebutuhan internet mempengaruhi pengunjung website semakin meningkat dan membuat beban traffic meningkat pada server, semakin banyak jumlah traffic ke server bisa menyebabkan web server menjadi down, jika digunakan dengan jumlah berlebih (overload). Server down karena tidak mampu dalam menjalankan request yang berlebihan, upaya untuk meningkatkan kinerja web server karena adanya akses request layanan yang sangat banyak, maka menggunakan sistem load balancing adalah solusi untuk mengatasi terjadinya server down. Server load balancing dapat bertugas untuk mendistribusikan beban kerja ke banyak server, dengan mempertimbangkan kapasitas dari setiap server yang ada. Pengujian ini dilakukan dengan 6 buah server. Yang masing masing mendapatkan 4000,8000, 12000, 16000 request, dengan pengujian menggunakan software apache benchmarking tool. Dengan Menerapkan load balancing Nginx mampu menstabilkan dan menjaga keseimbangan web server, dengan didukung 3 metode algoritma (Round Robin, Leas Connection, IP Hash) yang bisa digunakan dalam load balancing Nginx. Metode algoritma yang terbaik adalah Least Connection karena mempunyai stabilitas response time 116ms yang signifikan dan kecepatan response time nya lebih bagus dan mendapatkan 2300.96 req/s. DOI: https://doi.org/10.26905/jtmi.v6i1.3792
