Abstract

Teaching materials have an important role for teachers and students when the teaching and learning process takes place in the classroom. Learning will become more meaningful and easy for students to understand, when the subject matter taught is in accordance with the environment and local culture of students. The purpose of this research is to develop thematic teaching materials in the perspective of the local culture of the Aru Islands Maluku which are valid, practical, and effective. This study uses the Dick & Carey development model. The results of the expert assessment showed that the teaching materials obtained feasibility for use. Besides that, based on the results of the research, it shows that these teaching materials are effectively used and can improve the learning outcomes of class IV students at SDN Abidjan, the Aru Islands, Maluku.

Abstract

Background. The use of mobile devices has brought significant changes to learning in elementary schools, offering quick access to learning resources and increasing interactivity in the learning process. This reflects a paradigm shift in education towards the use of technology as an effective and dynamic learning tool. Purpose. The aim of this research is to fill the existing knowledge gap in the literature by investigating the views of PGSD students and elementary school teachers regarding the use of mobile devices in learning at school base. It is hoped that this research can provide a deeper understanding of the potential of mobile devices in supporting the learning process at the basic level, as well as becoming a basis for developing more effective learning strategies in the future. Method. This research methodology uses a quantitative approach through a survey model involving 30 respondents, consisting of PGSD students and elementary school teachers. Data collection was carried out through distributing online questionnaires using Google Form. Data analysis was carried out using a quantitative data analysis approach, paying attention to the validity of the data through comparison with other relevant data sources. Results. The results of the questionnaire analysis show that the majority of students use mobile devices regularly, indicating widespread adoption of technology in the educational context. However, challenges that need to be overcome include a lack of training and support for educators, as well as school policies that may not fully support the integration of technology in the curriculum.   Conclusion. The integration of mobile devices in learning in elementary schools promises many benefits, but also faces challenges that need to be overcome. With adequate support, it is hoped that the use of mobile devices can become an effective and inclusive learning tool for all students, preparing them to face the demands of an increasingly digitally connected world.

Abstract

Background. The characteristics and achievements of each student are different. This is influenced by the methods, interests, talents, media, sources, environment, and even strategies of the students themselves. A blanded learning method that combines traditional classroom learning with online-based learning can make a big impact in the world of education. It will provide opportunities for students to learn with more flexibility. It also creates a more engaging learning experience. Purpose This study aims to find out how much the use of blended learning method affects students' achievement. This achievement is more specific to mathematics learning. This is because there are often difficulties in understanding mathematics learning by students. Therefore, the blended learning method is considered to be able to influence learning, especially mathematics. Method. The method used in this research is quantitative. This method is considered suitable as a measuring tool. This is because the effect of using the blanded learning method on student achievement can be measured by a number scale. So that it can be read or understood through graphs, percentages, or data processing. Research using quantitative methods that have the characteristics of using numbers will be more in line with this research. Results. The result of this study explains that the use of blanded learning method will affect students' achievement in learning mathematics. The blanded learning method that combines traditional and online-based learning will enrich the learning experience. Not only that, this method will also provide a combination of different methods, media, sources, environments, and even learning strategies. Conclusion This research can be concluded that the use of blanded learning method will provide innovation in learning. It will support different ways of learning from students. In addition, it will also help teachers in the flexibility of organising learning time. On the other hand, it will also help students who have difficulty in following face-to-face learning.

Abstract

Perilaku Perundungan merupakan suatu fenomena yang cukup meresahkan masyarakat. Hal itu tidak hanya terjadi di lingkungan masyarakat, melainkan terjadi pula pada setiap satuan pendidikan termasuk di SD Inpres Negeri 4 Dobo. Sosialisasi pencegahan dan penaggulangan perilaku dan korban perundungan perlu untuk dilakukan kepada guru-guru di sekolah tersebut. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran terhadap dampak perilaku perundungan serta pembentukan tim pencegahan perilaku perundungan di sekolah. Kegiatan ini melibatkan guru agama, guru kelas, dan kepala sekolah. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu sosialisasi dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang disebar kepada seluruh peserta kegiatan sosialisasi. Data yang diperoleh, dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diketahui bahwa mayoritas guru menghendaki dibentuk layanan khusus penanganan perundungan di sekolah dengan melibatkan orang tua murid, namun mayoritas guru tidak menghendaki pelibatan komite sekolah dalam tim penanganan pencegahan perundungan. Selanjutnya, responden mayoritas mendukung pencegahan dan penanggulangan korban perundungan dan penegakan kode etik atau tata tertib sekolah. Semangat dan motivasi mengikuti seminar atau pelatihan pencegahan dan penangangan perundungan relatif sedang. Fenomena perilaku perundungan di tingkat satuan pendidikan dasar perlu dilakukan pencegahan dan penanganan melalui kerja sama antara pihak sekolah dengan orang tua dengan membentuk tim penanganan dan pencegahan perilaku Perundungan. Peserta kegiatan makin menyadari pentingnya pencegahan dan penanganan kasus perundungan yang terjadi di sekolah.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran discovery learning ialah metode belajar yang tidak disuguhkan konsep dalam bentuk jadi, akan tetapi peserta didik dituntut untuk menemukan konsep belajarnya secara mandiri. Model pembelajaran discovery learning merupakan model pembelajaran dimana peserta didik memahami sendiri konsep, arti, dan hubungan melalui proses intuitif untuk akhirnya sampai kepada kesimpulan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPAS Siswa Kelas Vc SD Negeri 3 Dobo dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kegiatan belajar mengajar di dalam kelas dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil tes awal pada kelas Vc berada pada kualifikasi gagal, hal ini membuktikan bahwa tingkat penguasaan siswa masih sangat minim terhadap materi bagaimana kita hidup dan bertumbuh. Proses kegiatan belajar mengajar pada kelas Vc berada pada kualifikasi baik, dimana pada tes akhir siklus I diperoleh rata-rata skor pencapaian siswa (45%). Hasil tes akhir siklus II secara klasikal tuntas dengan rata-rata skor pencapaian siswa (100%). Hal ini menunjukan bahwa semua siswa mampu memahami materi bagaimana kita hidup dan bertumbuh dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan baik sesuai dengan tahapannya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran discovery learning dapat membantu siswa untuk mencapai hasil belajar pada materi bagaimna kita hidup dan bertumbuh, karena dalam model pembelajaran ini siswa dilibatkan langsung dari awal pembelajaran sehingga siswa lebih aktif dan kreatif dalam mengkonstruksi pengetahuannya.
