Abstract

Abstract This research aimed to examine the contribution of transformational leadership to innovative behaviour, the contribution of work commitment to innovative behaviour, and the contribution of transformational leadership and work commitment to the innovative behaviour of public elementary school teachers in Sijunjung Regency. This research used a quantitative research design with a population of 92 teachers. The sample was taken using stratified proportional random sampling, with 20 teachers. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The results of the data analysis showed that transformational leadership significantly contributed to the innovative behaviour of public elementary school teachers in Sijunjung Regency by 45%, and work commitment significantly contributed to the innovative behaviour of public elementary school teachers in Sijunjung Regency by 20.5%. Transformational leadership and work commitment significantly contributed to the innovative behaviour of public elementary school teachers in Sijunjung Regency by 20.5%. The data support the hypothesis, and transformational leadership and work commitment are two important factors that help State Elementary School teachers in Sijunjung Regency be more innovative; other factors account for the remaining 79.5%.

Abstract

Sub bidang administrasi SDM PT Bank Riau Kepri adalah unit yang bertanggung jawab atas penyajian informasi sumber daya manusia dan proses kegiatan tata usaha kepegawaian. Pelaksana sub bidang administrasi melakukan verifikasi dan validasi data pengawai, mengelola dokumen arsip kepegawaian, dan menerbitkan surat keputusan terkait kepegawaian.. Namun, sistem pengarsipan arsip hanya dilakukan secara manual tanpa menggunakan alat teknologi untuk mempermudah dalam pengelolaan arsip pada Divisi MSDM PT Bank Riau Kepri dibuatlah sistem yang bernama E-Arsip. Aplikasi E-Arsip ini akan dirancang berbasis web dan akan di integrasikan dengan sistem yang sudah ada yaitu HRIS dan Employee Self Service (ESS). Dengan menerapkan E-Arsip ini bisa lebih hemat biaya daripada sistem penyimpanan arsip tradisional berbasis kertas, dapat diintegrasikan dengan sistem lainnya, sehingga memungkinkan pertukaran data tanpa hambatan dan meningkatkan manajemen SDM secara keseluruhan dan organisasi dapat memulihkan dokumen SDM yang penting jika terjadi bencana, seperti kebakaran atau banjir, yang dapat merusak catatan fisik

Abstract

This research aimed to obtain data and information about the contribution of instructional leadership to teacher performance, teacher work discipline to teacher performance, and the contribution of instructional leadership and teacher work discipline to teacher performance at Islamic state junior high school in Pariaman City. This research was quantitative and correlational with the associative type. The population was 116 civil servant teachers. The sample was determined using the Cochran formula with an error rate of 10%, and the stratified proportional random sampling technique was used to obtain 58 teachers. The research instrument was a questionnaire with five alternative answers. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression tests processed in SPSS version 26. The data analysis showed a significant contribution of instructional leadership and teacher performance, between teacher work discipline and teacher performance, and between instructional leadership and teacher work discipline to teacher performance. Instructional leadership contributes significantly to teacher performance. The better the instructional leadership shown, the better the performance of Islamic state junior high school teachers in Pariaman City. Also, teacher work discipline contributes significantly to teacher performance. The better the teacher’s work discipline, the better the performance of Islamic state junior high school teachers.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the author's observations, which showed that teachers' work commitment at public junior high schools in the Nanggalo subdistrict was still less than optimal. One of the contributing factors was the instructional leadership of the school principals. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the instructional leadership of school principals and teacher commitment at public junior high schools in Nanggalo District. The method used is quantitative with a correlational research design. The population of this study consists of teachers at public junior high schools in Nanggalo District, totaling 149 individuals. The research sample was taken using the Proportional Stratified Random Sampling technique with the Chocran formula, resulting in a sample size of 64 people. Data collection used a Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques used Pearson's correlation analysis with the help of the SPSS version 26 For Windows program. The results of the study show that: 1) The work commitment of teachers at public junior high schools in the Nanggalo subdistrict has been implemented very well, with an average score of 4.79. 2) The instructional leadership of principals at public junior high schools in the Nanggalo subdistrict has been implemented very well, with an average score of 4.76. 3) There is a significant relationship between the instructional leadership of the principal and teacher work commitment, with a correlation coefficient of 0.564 and a correlation significance test showing 5.377 > 1.670 at a significance level of 5% or a confidence level of 95%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the instructional leadership of the principal and teacher work commitment at SMP Negeri Se-Kecamatan Nanggalo.

Abstract

This study examines how participatory leadership is enacted in the management of class associations at SMPN 3 Koto XI Tarusan and why this leadership approach matters for strengthening school–parent collaboration. Using a descriptive qualitative design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving the principal, homeroom teachers, class association administrators, and parents. Data were analyzed using an interactive model of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation to ensure trustworthiness. The findings demonstrate that participatory leadership operates through three key dimensions: shared decision-making in planning class programs, open and transparent communication between homeroom teachers and parents, and joint evaluation of class activities to support continuous improvement. These dimensions enable parents to actively participate, foster mutual trust, and enhance a collective sense of responsibility in managing class-based initiatives. The implementation of participatory leadership is supported by a culture of mutual cooperation, democratic leadership practices of homeroom teachers, and institutional support from the school, while it is constrained by limited parental availability, uneven understanding of participatory leadership principles, and socioeconomic conditions. This study highlights the practical implications of participatory leadership for school leadership by demonstrating its role in creating more inclusive, collaborative, and sustainable models of class association management. Strengthening communication strategies, clarifying organizational roles, and reinforcing institutional support are therefore essential for improving the effectiveness of school–parent partnerships.

Abstract

Conflicts in senior high schools (SMA) and vocational high schools (SMK) in West Sumatra often arise from differences in academic policies and organizational pressures, but the lack of a specific collaborative leadership model is a major research gap. This study aims to develop a conceptual model of collaborative leadership in conflict management. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) with the PRISMA protocol, the population included publications from 2015–2025 in Scopus, Google Scholar, and national journals; the sample was purposively selected based on relevance to Indonesian secondary schools. The search protocol, using keywords such as "collaborative leadership" and "conflict management," was analyzed through thematic synthesis and content analysis. The results identified a five-dimensional model: collaborative leadership, principal competency, conflict process, supportive culture, and organizational impact. The conclusions confirm that this model fills a local gap with implications for principal training and education policy in West Sumatra.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum optimalnya keterlibatan guru dalam berbagai aktivitas sekolah di luar tugas mengajar, yang menunjukkan bahwa organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) belum berkembang secara maksimal. Kondisi ini diduga berkaitan dengan bagaimana kepala sekolah memimpin serta bagaimana suasana kerja yang dirasakan guru di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh servant leadership kepala sekolah dan iklim organisasi terhadap OCB guru di SD Negeri Kabupaten Solok. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, serta didukung oleh observasi dan wawancara terbatas untuk memperkuat pemahaman konteks lapangan. Analisis data dilakukan melalui statistik deskriptif dan regresi untuk menguji pengaruh antar variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa servant leadership dan iklim organisasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap OCB guru, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Namun demikian, OCB yang muncul masih cenderung bersifat individual dan belum sepenuhnya menjadi budaya organisasi. Temuan ini juga menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan yang ada masih lebih dominan pada aspek relasional, sementara iklim organisasi yang terbentuk sudah relatif nyaman tetapi belum cukup mendorong partisipasi aktif guru. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa peningkatan OCB guru tidak cukup hanya melalui tuntutan kinerja, tetapi perlu didukung oleh kepemimpinan yang memberdayakan serta iklim organisasi yang tidak hanya kondusif, tetapi juga mampu menstimulasi keterlibatan aktif guru dalam organisasi sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of digital leadership in fostering innovative behavior within educational organizations. The approach used is qualitative with a literature review method, which involves examining various scientific sources such as journals, books, and relevant policy documents. The findings indicate that digital leadership plays a crucial role in developing innovative behavior through the integration of technology with organizational culture, strengthening collaboration, and enhancing human resource competencies and digital literacy. Digital leadership does not operate directly but works through organizational mechanisms such as innovation culture, transformational leadership style, and a supportive work environment. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, including resistance to change, limited digital competencies, non-adaptive organizational culture, and inadequate infrastructure. Therefore, a holistic leadership approach is needed by balancing technological and human aspects to create sustainable innovation within educational organizations.
