Abstract

Instrumen meliputi lembar kuesioner, lembar observasi, sound/video recorder, laptop, software SPSS. Tahap awal metode analisis data adalah editing, coding, entry data/ cleaning, analyzing dengan sistem komputerisasi. Abstract

Abstract: The significant decline in the number of patient visits at Beutong Public Health Centre, Beutong Subdistrict, Nagan Raya District, which reached 73% between 2021 and 2022, serves as a critical backdrop for this study. This research aims to analyse the factors influencing healthcare service quality and patients' revisit interest by focusing on five key service dimensions: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. The study is descriptive-analytical and was conducted at the Beutong Public Health Centre from March to April 2024. The sample consisted of 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling based on inclusion criteria. Data were collected through questionnaires and secondary data from the health centre and analysed using SPSS version 24. The results showed that all five dimensions of healthcare service—reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles—influence patients' revisit interest. Specifically, the assurance variable had the most significant impact, with 77% of respondents indicating positive revisit interest. Reliability influenced 69% of respondents, empathy 68%, tangibles 63%, and responsiveness 53%. However, statistical analysis revealed that only assurance had a statistically significant effect (p 0.05), while reliability, responsiveness, empathy, and tangibles did not show significant influence (p 0.05). Based on these findings, it is recommended that Beutong Public Health Centre improve healthcare service quality by focusing on enhancing staff reliability through regular training, strengthening responsive communication channels to address patient complaints, improving staff credibility and professionalism through certification and continuous training, and upgrading the physical facilities of the health centre.

Abstract

Background: Anemia in pregnant women remains a significant public health issue in Aceh. According to the 2017 Aceh Provincial Health Profile, the prevalence of anemia among pregnant women reached 87%. In Banda Aceh City, Meuraxa Health Center recorded the highest rate in 2016 at 26.25%, which increased to 28.60% in 2017, despite educational efforts regarding iron tablet intake and proper nutrition. Method: This study employed an analytical quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of all third-trimester pregnant women with anemia in the working area of Meuraxa Health Center, Banda Aceh City, from January to December 2018, totaling 47 participants, selected using total sampling. Result: Parity (p=0.001), where multiparous and grand multiparous women were at higher risk of severe anemia. Nutritional status (MUAC) (p=0.000), with undernourished women more likely to experience severe anemia. ANC visits (p=0.002), where fewer ANC visits increased the risk. Compliance with iron tablet consumption (p=0.001), where non-compliance was associated with a higher risk of severe anemia. Husband support (p=0.026), where lack of support was associated with increased risk. Recommendation: It is recommended that third-trimester pregnant women regularly check their Hb levels and involve their husbands as supporters in anemia prevention. Health professionals play a crucial role in providing information and counseling to reduce the incidence of anemia.

Abstract

Introduction: Tuberculosis (TB) pandemic is a significant global health concern, especially in low- and middle-income countries. Every year the incidence and deaths due to TB continue to increase. Preventing and controlling TB effectively requires understanding the complex interplay of the multidimensional TB risk factors, which consist of social, behavioral, and biological determinants that contribute to its spread. This study aimed to identify and analyze the primary risk factors associated with TB incidence. Methods: This study employed a case-control design with 44 respondents consisting of 22 laboratory-confirmed TB patients and 22 non-TB patients with matching ages and sex. This study used a structured questionnaire was used to collect data through face-to-face interviews. The questionnaire assessed risk factors across three key domains: social determinants, behavioral determinants, and biological determinants. Bivariate analysis, which used a chi-square test (p-value <0.05), and multivariate analysis, which used a logistic regression test, were performed to determine risk factors most associated with TB incidence. Results: Low income (p-value=0.015;OR=6.923;95%CI=1.285-37.287), high TB-related stigma (p-value=0.033;OR=3.852;95%CI=1.086-13.661), insufficient TB knowledge (p-value =0.033;OR=3.852;95%CI=1.086-13.661), food insecurity (p-value=0.006;OR=5.950;95%CI=1.586-22.328), lack of preventative measures (p-value=0.015;OR=4.667;95%CI=1.299-16.761), history of contact with TB patients (p-value =0.039;OR=7.875;95%CI=0.860-72.122), and presence of comorbidities (p-value =0.031;OR=5.714;95%CI=1.051-31.072) were significantly associated with TB incidence. Comorbidities emerged as the strongest risk factor (p-value =0.020; OR=12.141;95%CI=1.486-99.231). Conclusion: This study highlights several major factors influencing TB incidence, including social, behavioral, and biological determinants. The findings suggest that effective TB control strategies should address socioeconomic conditions, promote healthy lifestyles, and involve community leaders and TB survivors in educational campaigns, stigma reduction, and early diagnosis efforts. Understanding these health determinants can inform more targeted public policies for curbing TB incidence.

Abstract

Breakfast is important for supporting cognitive function. However, national surveys show that around 56% of university students in Indonesia often skip breakfast. Research on the optimal timing of breakfast to enhance cognitive function is limited. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of different breakfast times on students’ cognitive abilities and health indicators. Methods: A Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial (CRCT) was conducted at the University of Muhammadiyah Aceh in 2024. A total of 60 students from three faculties were recruited and randomly assigned into three groups: intervention 1 (breakfast at 06:30–07:30), intervention 2 (07:31–08:31), and a control group (usual breakfast habits). The intervention lasted 8 weeks (4 weeks intervention, 4 weeks maintenance). Cognitive function was assessed using the Army Alpha Test, and mood was measured with the Profile of Mood Scales. Data were analyzed based on the Intention-to-Treat (ITT) principle and the Generalized Estimating Equation (GEE) method in SPSS version 25.0. Results: This protocol is designed to explore the most suitable breakfast timing for students. Expected outcomes include identifying breakfast times that significantly enhance cognitive function. Conclusion: The study is expected to provide evidence for designing breakfast interventions that support students’ cognitive function and overall health.
