Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) mengetahui desain rancangan modul pembelajaran fisika berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa, (2) mengetahui kelayakan modul pembelajaran fisika berbasis inkuiri terbimbing (3) mengetahui implementasi modul fisika berbasis inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) yang mengacu pada model 4D dengan tahap: define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Analisis hasil angket, validasi, dan observasi dianalisis dengan metode diskriptif-kualitatif berdasarkan skor kriteria, sedangkan uji coba lapangan menggunakan one group pretest-posttes design. Data kemampuan berpikir kreatif dihitung dengan gain ternormalisasi dan diuji dengan uji t dua sampel berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) pengembangan modul pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing didesain dengan tahapan pembelajaran: merumuskan masalah, merumuskan hipotesis, mengumpulkan data, menguji hipotesis, dan merumuskan kesimpulan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kreatif siswa, (2) modul memenuhi kriteria layak dari hasil validasi materi, media, praktisi pendidikan dan teman sejawat, (3) implementasi modul fisika berbasis inkuiri terbimbing efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa berdasarkan pengujian lapangan di SMA PIRI 1 Yogyakarta. These research aims are: (1) to know the design of guided inquiry-based physics module can improve students creative thinking ability, (2) to know the feasibility of guided inquiry-based physics learning module, (3) to know the implementation of guided inquiry-based physics module can improve students creative thinking ability. Research and Development Research Method (R & D) with reference to 4D Thiagarajan model with stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The questionnaire, validation, and observation analyzes were analyzed by a descriptive-qualitative method based on criteria scores, while field trials used one group pretest-posttest design. The data of creative thinking ability was calculated with normalized gain and tested by paired sample t-test. Conclusions: (1) the development of guided inquiry-based learning modules designed with learning stages: formulating problems, formulating hypotheses, collecting data, testing hypotheses, and formulating conclusions to improve students creative thinking ability; (2) the module meets the eligible criteria of material validation results, media, education practitioners and peers, (3) the implementation of guided inquiry-based physics module effectively used to improve students creative thinking ability based on field testing in SMA PIRI 1 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

The innovative way to improve the quality of human resources are elevated through education as one of basic foundation of human life. Education is a booster to form ideas, express thoughts, share feelings, and live a life as an individual. Education is also a significant factor that can change society and give new color to the community. This study aims to describe the process of stimulating students’ higher-order thinking skills on heat and temperature concepts. This research uses a descriptive method. Population in this study were high school students in Class XI in the city of Jayapura. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling so that a sample of 50 students was obtained. Research data collection using observation techniques and in-depth interviews. The results showed that students were able to build higher-order thinking skills by demonstrating cognitive activity focusing on the following processing classes: 63.7% of analysis skills, 23.9% of evaluation skills, and 12.4% of synthesis skills. These results represent that the activity of higher-order thinking skills stimulus process on heat and temperature concepts in learning. The process of this study could be functioned as an alternative strategy to encourage students to show the pattern of their higher-order thinking skills in the process of teaching and learning. Abstract

Concept mastery is the based ability of higher-order thinking skills in the era of society 5.0. Increased understanding of the concept is in line with the practice of dependent on active learning activities by students. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of problem-based learning on the concept mastery and learning activities of students. The research method used is a quasi-experimental research design with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group. The sample had selected through purposive random sampling. The instrument used is a conceptual understanding test instrument with an indicator of adaptation knowledge dimensions from Bloom's taxonomy and a learning activity instrument of a questionnaire. In the results of this study, there are differences between the experimental class and the control class on understanding concepts and learning activities of students; the PBL model increase students' concept mastery

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the difference of students’ study result between the joyful learning strategics using the experimental and project method seen from the creativity and self-discipline. The research method used in this study was the experimental method. The research design used in the study was a quasi-experimental research design. The sample was obtained by using the Cluster Sampling technique which consisted of two classes through scientific-based learning observations using project and experimental methods in different classes. The data collection on the learning outcomes of the knowledge aspect used to test techniques, the attitude aspect used the questionnaire technique, and the skill aspect used the observation sheet. The results of this study shows that project method influencing students’ study and skill result better than the experimental method. The learning outcomes of students’ knowledge and skills with creativity were better than those of students with low creativity. The learning outcomes of students with high self-discipline were better than those of students with low self-discipline.

Abstract

Pembelajaran melibatkan tiga aspek yaitu kognitif, psikomotor, dan afektif. Penelitiaan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran suhu dan kalor di SMA se-Kabupaten Keerom. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif . Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling, yang terdiri dari tiga SMA di Kabupaten Keerom. Data diperoleh melalui pengamatan di kelas dan wawancara secara mendalam pada guru yang mengajar pada materi suhu dan kalor. Berdasarkan data dan analisis, hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran suhu dan kalor di SMA se kabupaten Keerom belum sesuai dengan hakekat pembelajaran sains dimana tidak semua guru menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis pada siswa. Hanya satu SMA yang menggunakan model pembelajaran yang berbasis pada siswa yaitu menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan metode demostrasi, walaupun masih terdapat kelemahan pada proses pembelajarannya yaitu hanya beberapa siswa yang aktif dalam pembelajaran. Learning involves three aspects: cognitive, psychomotor, and affective. This research aims to describe the learning of the subject: temperature and heat in the Keerom regency high school. This research is a descriptive research. The sample was taken using purposive random sampling technique, which consisted of three High Schools in Keerom Regency. Data were obtained through in-class observation and in-depth interviews on teachers who taught on temperature and heat subject. Based on the data and analysis, the results of this study shows that learning temperature and heat in high school in Keerom regency is not in accordance with the nature of science learning where not all teachers apply learning models based on students. Only one high school using a learning model based on students is using cooperative learning model with demonstration method, although there is still a weakness in the learning process that is only some students who are active in learning.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of gender towards self-discipline attitudes and student learning outcomes in Physics, the effect of self-discipline attitudes towards student learning outcomes in Physics. This is comparative method. The population is 86 of XI grade students of Public Senior High School 2 and 7 of 2019/2020 school year. Data collection was done using questionnaires, tests, and documentation methods. The results conclude that there is an effect of gender towards students’ self-discipline attitudes; no effect of gender towards student learning outcomes in Physics; no effect of self-discipline attitudes towards student learning outcomes. Key Words: gender, self-discipline attitudes, physics learning outcomesAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis kelamin terhadap sikap disiplin diri dan hasil belajar fisika siswa, pengaruh sikap disiplin diri terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode komparatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 dan 7 tahun pelajaran 2019/2020 yang berjumlah 86 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh jenis kelamin terhadap sikap disiplin diri siswa; tidak ada pengaruh jenis kelamin terhadap hasil belajar Fisika siswa; tidak ada pengaruh sikap disiplin diri terhadap hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: jenis kelamin, sikap disiplin diri, hasil belajar fisika

Abstract

Buku teks fisika SMA yang kontekstual masih kurang sehingga perlu dikembangkan bahan ajar berupa modul untuk siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik, mengukur kelayakan, dan mengukur peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada penggunaan modul Fisika berbasis contextual teaching and learning (CTL) pada materi suhu, kalor, dan perpindahan kalor. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang mengacu pada model Borg & Gall yang dimodifikasi menjadi lima langkah. Modul yang sudah melalui tahap validasi ahli, guru, dan teman sejawat kemudian diujicobakan secara luas kepada 29 siswa. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan: 1) karakteristik modul adalah modul dikemas dalam tampilan yang menarik dan mudah digunakan, modul dikemas dengan menyajikan materi secara utuh, kegiatan belajar dalam modul bersifat saintifik yang mendukung Kurikulum 2013, dan modul menyajikan materi yang kontekstual; 2) kelayakan modul dilihat dari penilaian ahli, guru, teman sejawat yang memiliki nilai rata-rata di atas nilai cut off score (89% > 88%) dan penilaian produk oleh siswa (84% > 83%) 3) Penggunaan modul Fisika SMA berbasis CTL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar (n-gain kategori sedang) dan 79% siswa mencapai nilai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengembangkan e-learning IPA berbasis SETS dengan tema Gunung Merapi dan Gempa Bumi; 2) mengetahui kelayakan e-learning IPA berbasis SETS dengan tema Gunung Merapi dan Gempa Bumi. Pengembangan e-learning IPA terpadu berbasis SETS menggunakan model pengembangan Borg and Gall yang dimodifikasi sampai pada tahap kelima: 1) Penelitian pendahuluan (prasurvai); 2) Melakukan perencanaan (identifikasi dan definisi keterampilan, perumusan tujuan, penentuan urutan pembelajaran); 3) Mengembangan rancangan awal produk (draft I); 4) Uji coba lapangan awal berupa uji validasi ahli atau expert judgement; 5) Revisi produk tahap pertama berdasarkan masukan dan saran-saran ahli. Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian pengembangan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif untuk data pendapat dan saran serta deskriptif kuantitatif (persentase) untuk analisis skor penilaian dari masing-masing ahli. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa: 1) e-learning IPA terpadu berbasis SETS dengan tema gunung berapi dan gempa bumi telah berhasil dikembangkan dengan metode pengembangan Borg and Gall tahap satu sampai lima dengan pendekatan pembelajaran SETS dengan karakteristik e-learning yang interaktif; 2) e-learning IPA terpadu berbasis SETS dengan tema gunung berapi dan gempa bumi masuk dalam kategori sangat baik ditinjau dari kelayakan materi, RPP, kisi-kisi soal, dan media dengan rata-rata persentase penilaian 88.34 %. Abstract

The research aimed to reveal the emergence percentage of Science Process Skill (SPS) indicator on summative test of 10th grade in Surakarta in the academic year 2015/ 2016 and to find the capable alternative assessment instruments for measuring science process skill. This research was a descriptive research through the analysis of science process skill indicators on the summative test in Surakarta academic year of 2015/2016 and physics teacher questionnaire concerned teachers’ instrument in physics learning process. Questionnaires were given to 67 Physics teachers in Surakarta and surrounding areas as samples using random sampling technique. The summative test was chosen from public and private senior secondary schools in Surakarta, representing high, medium and low-grade schools based on the average national examination score over the past 5 years. Selection of summative test sample using purposive sampling technique. The resuls show that the achievement percentage of Science Process Skill (SPS) indicators on the summative test of 10th grade in Surakarta in the academic year 2015/2016 was dominated by the skill of applying concept and skill of planning experiment has the lowest percentage. The two-tier multiple-choice assessment instrument is one of capable alternative instruments to measuring students’ science process skills. In conclusion, the low percentage of  occurance of science process skill indicator in summative test  requires  alternative instrument to measure students’ science process skill. Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase kemunculan indikator Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) pada soal ulangan kenaikan kelas X pada SMA/MA di Surakarta pada tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dan mengetahui instrumen penilaian alternatif yang mampu untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif melalui analisis indikator keterampilan proses sains pada soal ulangan kenaikan kelas pada SMA/MA di Surakarta tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dan melalui angket tentang instrumen yang dipakai guru dalam proses pembelajaran Fisika. Angket diberikan kepada 67 guru Fisika di Surakarta dan sekitarnya sebagai sampel dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Soal ulangan kenaikan kelas dipilih dari SMA/MA di Surakarta baik sekolah negeri maupun swasta yang mewakili sekolah kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah berdasarkan rata-rata nilai UN selama 5 tahun terakhir. Pemilihan sampel soal ulangan kenaikan kelas menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase kemunculan indikator KPS pada soal ulangan kenaikan kelas X di Surakarta tahun ajaran 2015/2016 didominasi oleh keterampilan menerapkan konsep dan keterampilan merencanakan percobaan memiliki persentase kemunculan terendah. Selain itu, instrumen penilaian two-tier multiple choice merupakan salah satu instrumen alternatif yang mampu mengukur keterampilan proses sains siswa. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya persentase kemunculan indikator keterampilan proses sains pada soal ulangan kenaikan kelas, sehingga diperlukan adanya alternatif instrumen yang mampu mengukur keterampilan proses sains siswa. Â
