Abstract

This study examines the relationship and combined influence of digital literacy and learning motivation on the academic performance of Islamic Education Management (MPI) students in two until six semesters during the Society 5.0 era. Using a quantitative correlational and multiple regression design, 98 students were selected as samples. Instruments included a digital literacy questionnaire covering eight dimensions of competence and a learning motivation questionnaire adapted from the MSLQ. Learning outcomes were measured by students’ Grade Point Average (GPA). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression with SmartPLS 4.0. The findings reveal that (1) digital literacy has a positive and significant relationship with learning outcomes; (2) learning motivation also positively and significantly correlates with learning outcomes; and (3) both variables jointly exert a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes. The R-square value indicates that digital literacy and motivation together make a substantial contribution in explaining variations in academic achievement. The study concludes that synergy between digital competence and strong learning motivation is crucial in digital-based education to enhance MPI students’ performance. Practically, it underscores the need for integrated programs that strengthen digital literacy and foster intrinsic motivation among students.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are increasingly required to provide a safe, humanistic, and violence-free learning environment in line with the paradigm of Child-Friendly Pesantren (CFP). This study analyzes how caregiving management and the musyrif system at Pondok Pesantren Al-Bahjah Cirebon are implemented to realize a CFP model grounded in the values of rahmah (compassion) and ta’dib (formation of proper conduct). Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, and examined using Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña’s interactive model. The findings show that all managerial functions—planning, organizing, directing, and controlling—are driven by compassion and moral cultivation, leading the caregiving process to prioritize moral awareness over punishment. Value-based planning is translated into a tiered musyrif structure; caregiving implementation manifests through role modeling, dialogic guidance, and psychological support via SiPePsi; while reflective supervision through muhasabah and hisbah protects students’ dignity and emotional well-being. The integration of values throughout the management cycle produces a rahmah–ta’dib-based CFP model that reinforces spiritual character and psychological resilience. The study enriches the theoretical discourse on value-based Islamic educational management and offers practical directions for strengthening musyrif training. Comparative and longitudinal studies are recommended to examine the model’s consistency across pesantren with different characteristics.

Abstract

Diabetes and cardiovascular disease are examples of non-communicable diseases with the highest prevalence. One way to prevent this deadly disease is by carrying out regular health checks. Blood sugar, cholesterol and uric acid level detection devices on the market are invasive, causing discomfort with needles when drawing blood. The aim of this research is to design a tool to measure blood sugar, cholesterol and uric acid levels non-invasively using the MAX30105 sensor. The MAX30105 sensor will read the infrared value on the fingertip which is then converted into a calculation of blood sugar, cholesterol and uric acid values using the linear regression method. This method will compare the IR value from the sensor output with the results of invasive readings of glucose, cholesterol and uric acid levels to form a regression equation. The measurement data will then be sent via WiFi to the application for easy reading. Based on the experimental results, the accuracy value for glucose reading was 91.44%, cholesterol 84.94% and uric acid 84.91%. More sample variations are needed to map variables that can cause errors in reading values. Apart from that, the amount of light and finger placement procedures also need to be considered to get better accuracy.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of transformational leadership on student discipline and the mediating role of organizational culture in a modern Islamic boarding schools in Karawang Regency. This study used a quantitative explanatory survey of 137 students, of which 102 respondents were selected using the Slovin formula and proportional random sampling. Data were analyzed using PLS-SEM with Smart-PLS 4.1.1.6. The results showed that transformational leadership significantly influenced organizational culture (β = 0.687, p < 0.001) and student discipline (β = 0.357, p < 0.001), while organizational culture also significantly influenced student discipline (β = 0.480, p < 0.001). The indirect effect of transformational leadership on student discipline through organizational culture was significant (β = 0.330, p < 0.001; VAF = 48.0%), indicating partial mediation. The model explained 44.9% of the variance in organizational culture and 63.4% of the variance in student discipline. These findings confirm that leadership becomes more effective in strengthening discipline when translated into shared values, routines, and supervisory practices within Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of In-House Training (IHT) as a principal's strategy in accelerating educators' technological literacy at SMA Negeri 6 Karawang. This research is motivated by the importance of improving teachers' technological literacy in facing the digital transformation of education and the need for principals' strategies in supporting the development of educators' competencies so that learning becomes more effective, innovative, and adaptive to technological developments. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation with key informants: the principal, teachers, and the school's ICT team. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of IHT was carried out systematically and directed according to the principal's strategy in improving educators' technological literacy. Implementation began with an analysis of training needs based on teachers' actual conditions, especially regarding their ability to use technology in the learning process. The implementation of IHT was carried out through workshops and practices that focused on the use of learning technologies such as Google Forms, Kahoot, Gamma, Learning Management Systems, and the use of Artificial Intelligence. Teachers were given the opportunity to directly practice using these applications to make them easier to apply in daily learning activities. The implementation of IHT has been proven to improve educators' technological literacy skills, strengthen digital culture in schools, and encourage more interactive and effective learning. And That’s, IHT is an effective strategy for improving the quality of learning in the digital age.
