Abstract

Geography is a science that deals with all activities and symptoms found on earth. At the junior high school level, geography is integrated into integrated social studies subjects. Geography is also an important social science to be implemented in lower secondary schools, but in its application there are also factors for its success, including learning behavior and student involvement. The objectives of this research are1) Analyzing the effect of learning behavior on student geography learning results, 2) Analyzing the effect of student engagement on geography learning results, and 3) Analyzing the effect of learning behavior and student engagement on geography learning outcomes. This research used quantitative method. The population in this study were students from grade 7 to grade 9 at SMP Negeri 2 Kemalang totaling 584 students. The sample in this study consisted of 237 students. SThe sampling was conducted using the stratified random sampling technique. Data were obtained using observation, documentation, and questiinnaires. The data analysis techniques used in this study include descriptive statistic, simple correlation tests, and multiple correlation analysis. The result shiwed that 1) students have a level of learning behavior in the high category, 2)  student learning engagement in geography subjects categorized into high category, and 3) There is no significant influence of learning behavior and student engagement on geography learning success. It can be observed that the r value is smaller than the r tabke value 0.059 0.134) and the significance value is above 0,05 (0.416 0.05).

Abstract

Children's literature has a big role in determining the development of a child's personality to reach maturity. One type of children's literature packaged in digital form is electronic stories, such us Nussa dan Rara series. The purpose of this study was to describe and interpret the prophetic value of children's literature from Nussa dan Rara series as a medium for character learning in children. The research method used in this study was a descriptive qualitative method. The research data was taken from Nussa dan Rara series, especially from the episode Gratis Pahala. Data collection in this study was carried out by (1) recording, (2) transferring in written form, and (3) classifying the data. The data analysis technique was content analysis with the help of Kuntowijoyo's prophetic literary theory which consists of humanization, liberation, and transcendence. The results of this study are the discovery of representations of humanization in children's lives, liberation in the perspective of inclusion, and transcendence between children and religiosity. Humanization in this story is sensitive, caring, patient, and forgiving. Liberation can be seen in terms of equality between children with disabilities and normal children. Children with disabilities have the right to receive good and not arbitrary treatment from the surrounding community. The value of transcendence appears in the form of the teachings of the Prophet and the Qur'an.

Abstract

  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemikiran kepercayaan dan kehidupan masyarakat terhadap penularan pandemi COVID-19 berdasarkan pandangan pemimpin agama di tiga wilayah Thailand Selatan untuk mencari pola pedoman yang terbaik bagi masyarakat di dalam daerah-daerah tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang didesain dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam yang melibatkan pemimpin agama Islam di tiga wilayah Thailand Selatan sebagai informan. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh dan  menyebabkan banyaknya masyarakat di tiga wilayah ini  banyak terinfeksi COVID-19 adalah (1) faktor kebudayaan yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap kehidupan masyarakat dan (2) faktor organisasi yang dalam faktor ini ditemukan bahwa pemimpin agama sangat berperan penting dan berpengaruh terhadap kehidupan atau kepercayaan masyarakat melebihi kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap kebijakan pemerintah. Peneliti merekomendasikan bahwa penyelesaian dalam mengatasi suatu keadaan di tiga wilayah merupakan peran pemimpin agama karena akan lebih dipercayai masyarakat.   Kata Kunci: pemikiran, kepercayaan, kehidupan masyarakat, penularan pandemi COVID-19, pemimpin agama, tiga wilayah Thailand Selatan

Abstract

How is Foreign Language Learning Implemented Online? The Case of Indonesian Language for Foreign Speaker. Objectives: this article aims to describe the platforms commonly used in learning and teaching Indonesian for foreigners online, the problems encountered, and the solutions. Methods: the researcher employed qualitative research. In obtaining information from three resource persons who teach at the State University of Malang, an in-depth interview technique was used with the aim of obtaining comprehensive information. Findings: The results show that there are four types of digital platforms that are often used: Zoom, Google Classroom, WhatsApp, and UKBIPA. Meanwhile, the problems faced are divided into two categories: technical and substance. Meanwhile, the solution proposed by the teacher is to improve digital skills and make maximum use of authentic sources spread across various social media platforms. Conclusion: online learning using a digital platform has advantages and disadvantages, to overcome these shortcomings, collaborative efforts from various parties are needed so that foreign students can achieve communicative competence even though learning is carried out online. Keywords: BIPA, digital platform, second language.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i3.202207

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsi tanda feminitas dan cinta seorang ibu dalam Drama Korea Under The Queen’s Umbrella. Metode penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan semiotika.  Sumber data berasal dari Drama Korea Under The Queen’s Umbrella, sementara data penelitian berupa tangkapan layar yang mengandung tanda feminitas dan cinta seorang ibu. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, ditemukan bahwa tanda feminitas ditunjukkan ideologi Ratu mendukung pendapat Raja dan upaya Ratu memberi masukan pada saat Raja mengalami kebimbangan. Adapun tanda cinta seorang Ibu ditunjukkan dalam hal pendidikan, kesehatan, sosial, dan psikologi.
