Abstract

Writing is one of the language skills that students must have. This research examines the effectiveness of using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model in learning to convert interview text into narrative for class VII students at SMP Negeri 4 Sengkang. The type of research used is experimental research. This research uses a quasi-experimental design. The population in this study was all class VII students, totaling 85 students. The research sample was class VII B as the experimental class, totaling 21 students and class VII A as the control class, totaling 21 students. The collected data was then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The research results show that the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model is effectively applied in learning to convert interview text into narrative for class VII students at SMP Negeri 4 Sengkang. Implementation of this model can provide the basis for more interactive and supportive cooperative learning, with a focus on developing language skills

Abstract

This study aims to analyze writing errors in wedding invitations based on the rules of the Enhanced Spelling System (EYD) and the Great Dictionary of the Indonesian Language (KBBI). Wedding invitations are an important form of written communication in social life, so errors in writing can disrupt meaning, aesthetics, and the credibility of the event organizers. This research employs a descriptive qualitative analysis method by identifying and classifying various types of writing errors found in wedding invitations circulating in society. The study examines spelling mistakes, word choice, and punctuation errors that do not conform to the EYD and KBBI guidelines. The results indicate that common errors include discrepancies in spelling, incorrect word usage, and improper punctuation placement. These findings are expected to contribute to raising public awareness about the importance of using language in accordance with correct linguistic rules, particularly in writing wedding invitations.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kapasitas monitoring dan evaluasi (monev) pelaksanaan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) di Kabupaten Wajo, serta mendorong sinergi antara pemerintah daerah, pelaku usaha, dan organisasi non-pemerintah (NGO). Pendekatan partisipatif digunakan untuk melibatkan berbagai pemangku kepentingan dalam pelatihan dan workshop interaktif yang mengangkat penggunaan Logical Framework dan Balanced Scorecard sebagai alat monev strategik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta mengenai peran kelembagaan mereka dalam pencapaian SDGs serta lahirnya komitmen bersama untuk membentuk forum koordinasi multipihak. Kegiatan ini juga menghasilkan modul pelatihan dan template monitoring yang diintegrasikan ke dalam proses perencanaan pembangunan daerah. Inisiatif ini diharapkan dapat memperkuat tata kelola pembangunan yang berkelanjutan, terukur, dan inklusif di tingkat lokal.

Abstract

Bullying involves the abuse of power to harm individuals or groups through verbal, physical, or psychological means, causing victims to feel depressed, traumatized, and helpless. Adolescents who experience bullying are at higher risk of developing various health problems, both mental and physical. Victims often experience mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders, as well as physical symptoms such as headaches, muscle tension, insecurity in the school environment, and decreased interest and academic performance. Incidents of bullying among students are increasing at all levels of education, highlighting the urgent need for effective prevention and intervention strategies. These efforts include utilizing the Indonesian language as a tool to convey the causes and harmful effects of bullying behavior. The goal of this initiative is to raise awareness about basic knowledge of bullying by emphasizing the role of language as a form of social control. By increasing students' understanding and awareness, it is hoped that they will be better able to avoid becoming involved in or becoming victims of bullying in the school environment. Sustained socialization efforts are expected to support students in using language responsibly as a means of maintaining social harmony.ABSTRAKPerundungan melibatkan penyalahgunaan kekuasaan untuk menyakiti individu atau kelompok melalui cara verbal, fisik, atau psikologis, yang membuat korban merasa tertekan, trauma, dan tidak berdaya. Remaja yang mengalami perundungan berisiko lebih tinggi mengalami berbagai masalah kesehatan, baik mental maupun fisik. Korban sering mengalami tantangan kesehatan mental seperti depresi, kecemasan, dan gangguan tidur, serta gejala fisik seperti sakit kepala, ketegangan otot, ketidakamanan di lingkungan sekolah, dan penurunan minat dan prestasi akademik. Insiden perundungan di kalangan siswa meningkat di semua tingkatan pendidikan, menyoroti kebutuhan mendesak akan strategi pencegahan dan intervensi yang efektif. Upaya ini termasuk memanfaatkan bahasa Indonesia sebagai alat untuk menyampaikan penyebab dan dampak merugikan perilaku perundungan. Tujuan inisiatif ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran tentang pengetahuan dasar mengenai perundungan dengan menekankan peran bahasa sebagai bentuk kontrol sosial. Dengan meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran siswa, diharapkan mereka akan lebih mampu menghindari terlibat dalam atau menjadi korban perundungan di lingkungan sekolah. Upaya sosialisasi yang berkelanjutan diharapkan dapat mendukung siswa dalam menggunakan bahasa secara bertanggung jawab sebagai sarana untuk menjaga harmoni sosial.
