Abstract

The Community Service (PKM) activity aimed to enhance the understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) concepts for PT. Citra Prima Media, a provider of internet and TV services. ERP is an integrated system designed to improve operational efficiency and real-time data-driven decision-making. The method involved workshops, pre-tests, and post-tests to evaluate participants’ comprehension of ERP benefits in three key areas: financial management, marketing, and human resources (HR). The results showed significant improvements in participants’ understanding, with an average post-test score of 93%. Participants recognized ERP's role in operational efficiency, customer analytics, and data-driven HR management. Based on these findings, PT. Citra Prima Media plans to evaluate ERP adoption for a phased digital transformation. This initiative highlights the importance of ERP in supporting companies' competitiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

Destructive leadership is increasingly recognized as a workplace risk that can damage employee well-being, weaken voice behavior, and intensify psychological strain. In Indonesian multisector organizations, leadership-related harm is often discussed through adjacent constructs such as abusive supervision, toxic leadership, hostile leadership climate, and unfair managerial practices. This narrative review examines whether destructive leadership–psychological distress is a recurring phenomenon in Indonesian multisector companies during 2024–2026, and whether Psychological Safety Theory provides a credible explanation for this relationship. The review synthesizes open-access evidence from Indonesian studies and closely related international literature published during the target period, with emphasis on organizations in service, manufacturing, education, hospitality, and mixed-sector settings. Across the reviewed studies, destructive or psychologically unsafe leadership climates are consistently associated with work stress, anxiety, emotional exhaustion, burnout, reduced job satisfaction, lower performance, and withdrawal tendencies. The review finds that the destructive leadership–distress linkage is recurrent enough to warrant serious organizational concern, although direct Indonesian studies using the label “destructive leadership” remain limited. Instead, the strongest evidence appears through studies of toxic work culture, abusive leadership, unsupportive supervision, and low psychological safety. Psychological Safety Theory helps explain why destructive leadership produces distress: when employees do not feel safe to speak up, ask for help, admit mistakes, or challenge unfair treatment, they allocate more cognitive and emotional energy to self-protection than to task accomplishment. The review concludes that the theory remains applicable in Indonesian organizational contexts in 2026, especially when combined with social control perspectives that illuminate fear, silence, and compliance as mechanisms that intensify distress. The article ends with implications, limitations, and future research directions for scholars and practitioners.

Abstract

Toxic work environments remain a persistent organizational problem in Indonesia, particularly in sectors characterized by high emotional labor, close supervision, heavy customer interaction, and strong performance pressure. This narrative review examines whether the relationship between toxic work environment and psychological distress is a sufficiently recurrent phenomenon in Indonesian multisector organizations during 2024–2026, and whether Psychological Safety Theory provides an adequate explanation for that relationship. Using a purposive narrative review approach, the article synthesizes open-access evidence from Indonesian empirical studies and reviews published in 2024–2026 across contact center, manufacturing, education, and mixed-sector organizational settings. The reviewed literature consistently depicts toxic work environments as settings marked by poor communication, lack of support, interpersonal conflict, bullying, discrimination, unfairness, and psychologically unsafe leadership. Across the reviewed studies, toxic work conditions are associated with elevated work stress, anxiety, emotional exhaustion, depressive symptoms, reduced performance, and withdrawal cognition. The review finds that the toxic environment–distress link appears repeatedly across sectors rather than as an isolated sector-specific anomaly. Psychological Safety Theory explains this pattern by emphasizing that employees who do not feel safe to speak up, admit mistakes, ask for help, or express concerns allocate more cognitive and emotional energy to self-protection than to task performance. In such contexts, informal social control mechanisms—such as fear, blame, silence, and exclusion—amplify distress. The review concludes that, in Indonesia, Psychological Safety Theory remains a useful and empirically plausible lens for explaining how toxic work environments contribute to psychological distress, although current evidence is still fragmented and often uses distress proxies such as work stress, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion. The article identifies research gaps and proposes directions for future empirical studies using multi-sector samples, longitudinal designs, and direct measurement of psychological safety and psychological distress.

Abstract

Abstract

This narrative review explores whether high-potential workers (HiPo) within Indonesian organizations across various sectors consistently exhibit elevated levels of emotional intelligence (EI), and it assesses the relevance of the Competency Based Model proposed by Boyatzis in the identification and development of HiPos. The review compiles freely accessible scholarly articles from 2024 to 2025, with a focus on research from Indonesia and includes one primary benchmark study on high-potential individuals for comparison, as studies specific to Indonesian HiPo are scarce. Findings reveal that being classified as a HiPo does not necessarily correlate with having high EI. Research directly related to high potential employees indicates that cognitive-intrapersonal skills such as initiative, desire for learning, and the ability to think outside conventional limits are stronger indicators of high potential than emotional-interpersonal skills. Research from various Indonesian sectors, including manufacturing, energy, construction, and public services, suggests that while EI plays a significant role in enhancing employee productivity, work performance, job satisfaction, and effectiveness in management, its influence typically operates through mediating factors instead of serving as a direct predictor. Furthermore, talent management research in Indonesia shows that numerous organizations still depend on performance evaluations and fragmented methods instead of comprehensive competency frameworks. This review concludes that the Competency Based Model is relevant in Indonesian organizations across different sectors; however, it should be viewed as encompassing a range of competencies rather than a single attribute. While EI is valuable, it is not an essential or sufficient criterion for determining high-potential employees.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline on employee performance with the work environment as an intervening variable at the Regent Office of Bulukumba. The main focus of this study is to identify the direct and indirect effects among work discipline, work environment, and employee performance, as well as to examine the mediating role of the work environment in the relationship between work discipline and employee performance. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 67 employees of the Regent Office of Bulukumba. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS software to examine the relationships among variables and the mediating effect of the work environment. The results indicate that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, work discipline has a positive and significant effect on the work environment, the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through the work environment as an intervening variable at the Regent Office of Bulukumba. These findings suggest that improving work discipline, supported by a conducive work environment, can enhance employee performance optimally.
