Abstract

The Pappa River is one of the rivers in South Sulawesi which often experiences flooding during the rainy season. The flooding that occurred resulted in scouring of the river cliffs, so to prevent damage to the cliffs and the expansion of the river, it was necessary to plan cliff supports in the form of gabions. This research aims to determine the form and dimensions of effective slope strengthening planning in the Pappa River, Takalar Regency. Planning the dimensions of retaining walls includes design of gabion size and gabion stability and is analyzed using the gabion reinforcement capacity formula based on SNI 03-0090-1999. The calculated results of the overturning forces were 8.82 ≥ 1.5 and the shearing forces was 4.34 ≥ 1.5 so that the gabion construction was safe. Meanwhile, the gabion building will be placed on a cliff downstream of the Jenelata river, 200 meters long with dimensions 2 x 1 x 0.5, number of partitions 1 and capacity of 1 m³

Abstract

The prevalence of landslides has resulted in great losses, including the loss of human lives, the loss of property, and the disruption of natural ecosystems, especially in Enrekang District, Enrekang Regency. This study aims to identify landslide-prone areas and the level of landslide risk by using a landslide-prone map in Enrekang District. This study uses quantitative descriptive method techniques, spatial analysis with GIS analysis tools, and assessment analysis is carried out by multiplying the weight values and scores for variables such as slope, rainfall, soil rock type, and land use. The results of the study showed that three classes of vulnerability were obtained in Enrekang District, namely, high vulnerability with an area of 128.80 Ha, medium vulnerability with an area of 24033.26 Ha, and low vulnerability with an area of 3817.16 Ha.

Abstract

Masalah Transportasi merupakan masalah utama pada lali lintas jalan termasuk juga di daerah Enrekang tepatnya yang terjadi di Jalan Nasional Poros-Enrekang karena adanya aktivitas kegiatan masyarakat diantaranya aktivitas pasar dan perdagangan yang menimbulkan hambatan samping sehingga mempengaruhi kinerja arus lalu lintas di Jalan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik arus lalu lintas dan kinerja lalu lintas akibat aktivitas pada hari biasa dan hari pasar. Menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan perhitungan Pedoman Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia 2023. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei-Juli 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa volume lalu lintas tertinggi pada hari Minggu yaitu 1803,6 smp/jam yang diantaranya dari arah barat (Sidrap) 868 smp/jam dan arah timur (Enrekang/Tator) 935,6 smp/jam dan hambatan samping yaitu 297,8 smp/jam, yang diantaranya dari arah barat (Sidrap) 142,8 smp/jam dan arah timur (Enrekang/Tator) 155 smp/jam dengan kecepatan rata-rata 44,75 km/jam. Kinerja jalan dengan kapasitas 3758,4 smp/jam, derajat kejenuhan 0,48 dan tingkat pelayanan C. Kata kunci: Kinerja Lalu Lintas, Tingkat Pelayanan, PKJI

Abstract

Indonesia menghasilkan sekitar 12,87 juta ton sampah plastik setiap tahun. Pemerintah menargetkan pengurangan sampah plastik yang masuk ke laut sebesar 70% pada tahun 2025, sesuai dengan Peraturan Presiden No. 83 Tahun 2018 tentang pengelolaan sampah laut. Salah satu alternatif solusi untuk mengurangi sampah plastik di lingkungan adalah dengan memanfaatkan sampah plastik dalam pembuatan paving block. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh limbah high density polyethylene dan kawat PVC terhadap daya serap air dan kuat tekan paving block dengan metode eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa paving block dengan komposisi 75% HDPE dan 25% pasir mengalami fluktuasi daya serap air yaitu 0,47% tanpa kawat PVC, menurun menjadi 0,44% dengan 1 lapis kawat PVC, menurun menjadi 0,41% pada 2 lapis, dan menurun lagi menjadi 0,35% pada 3 lapis. Kuat tekan paving block meningkat signifikan dengan penambahan lapisan kawat PVC, dari 12.698 MPa tanpa kawat menjadi 14.135 MPa pada 1 lapisan, 16.478 MPa pada 2 lapisan, dan mencapai nilai tertinggi sebesar 17.234 MPa pada 3 lapisan kawat PVC.

Abstract

The waste problem in Indonesia is an unfinished problem. The growing population increases the amount of waste originating from human activities, both organic and inorganic waste. Inorganic waste such as plastic waste is difficult to decompose naturally, so research is needed on the use of plastic waste to make environmentally friendly paving blocks. The aim of this research is to know the compressive strength and the percentage of water absorption value. Using experimental data collection techniques or methods (testing/observation). By testing intact paving blocks and cubes, the results showed that PET plastic types did not meet the testing standards for DHPE and PP plastic types, which had varying compressive strength and water absorption, so that research could be continued. The highest compressive strength of the PP plastic type was 16.98 Mpa for the intact model and 23.30 Mpa for the cube model, the lowest water absorption capacity was obtained for the PP plastic type of 0.38%.

Abstract

Coconut shell ash and silica fume can enhance the strength and durability of concrete. Coconut shell ash, as an organic waste material, functions as a lightweight aggregate, while silica fume improves the bond between cement and aggregate, thereby increasing the overall durability of the concrete. This study aims to compare the compressive strength results and determine the optimal percentage of coconut shell ash and silica fume in both normal and mixed concrete at 28 days of curing, using an experimental method. The results showed that the compressive strength of normal concrete at 28 days was 26.33 MPa. After the addition of 2% coconut shell ash and 2% silica fume, the compressive strength increased significantly to 31.61 MPa, representing an improvement of 5.28 MPa. However, adding more than 2% coconut shell ash led to a decrease in compressive strength, with the lowest value of 22.36 MPa observed in the mixture containing 10% coconut shell ash and 2% silica fume. The optimal combination was found to be 2% coconut shell ash and 2% silica fume, yielding the highest compressive strength of 31.61 MPa. These findings suggest that organic waste such as coconut shell ash can serve as an environmentally friendly alternative in the construction industry, especially when combined with supplementary materials like silica fume.

Abstract

Infrastructure is an economic cog, an important input for production activities and can affect economic activities in various ways both directly and indirectly. To find out how the level of community satisfaction with infrastructure development in Leppangeng Village, Pitu Riase District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine how the level of community satisfaction and what factors influence the level of community satisfaction with infrastructure development in Leppangeng Village, Pitu Riase District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The research method used is a questionnaire (questionnaire) conducted in Leppangeng Village, Pitu Riase District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The results of the research on the level of community participation related to infrastructure development in general with a satisfied category as many as 69 respondents with a percentage of 84.1% while those who were not satisfied were 13 respondents with a percentage of 15.9% Infrastructure development in Leppangeng Village, Pitu Riase District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency is generally better. And the level of community satisfaction related to infrastructure development in Leppangeng Village is seen based on 8 indicators, namely: Community responses related to procedures 87.8%, community responses related to requirements 90.2%, community responses related to clarity of officers 84.1%, community responses related to officer discipline 89%, community responses related to responsibility 92.7%, community responses related to officer abilities 89%, community responses related to speed 92.7%, and community responses related to justice in infrastructure development in Leppangeng Village are in the satisfied category with a percentage of 90.2%.
