Abstract

Tujuan artikel ini, yaitu untuk mengkaji kearifan lokal dan budaya Betawi (upacara adat perkawinan dan kuliner Betawi) serta mengetahui implementasi Pendekatan Kearifan Lokal dan Budaya Betawi dalam pembelajaran Biologi. Pendekatan ini selanjutnya disingkat Pendekatan KALBU. Metode penelitian menggunakan kajian studi pustaka dan observasi langsung di Perkampungan Budaya Setu Babakan. Kompetensi pengetahuan Kebudayaan Betawi yang dapat diintegrasikan dalam Biologi Kelas X, yaitu topik Kingdom Plantae dan Kingdom Animalia. Hal ini karena kearifan lokal dan budaya Betawi memanfaatkan tumbuhan dan hewan dalam kebudayaannya. Pemanfaatan tumbuhan dan hewan tampak pada upacara perkawinan adat Betawi dan kuliner Betawi. Species yang digunakan sebagian besar adalah tumbuhan dari kelompok Eudicots, Monocots, dan Magnoliids. Species hewan biasanya digunakan sebagai pelengkap, seperti dari kelompok Aves dan Crustacea. Pendekatan KALBU dapat diintegrasikan dengan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Salah satu proyek yang dapat diterapkan adalah video pembelajaran mengenai kearifan lokal dan budaya Betawi di mana berkaitan dengan materi Kingdom Plantae dan Kingdom Animalia. Potensi kebudayaan Betawi dapat dijadikan alternatif pendekatan pembelajaran Kearifan Lokal dan Budaya (KALBU) pada Kurikulum 2013 karena pendekatan ini dapat mengukur kompetensi, antara lain sikap spiritual, sikap sosial, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan cara permainan media kartu KUPUBIL (Kartu Untuk Persiapan Ujian Biologi). Selain itu, untuk mengamati hasil nilai Ujian Nasional Biologi setelah dilakukan eksperimen menggunakan kartu KUPUBIL. Penelitian ini juga untuk mengetahui persepsi peserta didik tentang kebermanfaatan kartu KUPUBIL. Jenis penelitian adalah pre experimental design. Desain penelitian adalah the one-shot case study design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII MIPA SMA Citra Kasih Jakarta dengan sampel 12 siswa pemilih UNBK Biologi. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive random sampling. Bentuk kartu KUPUBIL berjumlah 96 buah dengan ukuran 7,5 cm x 11 cm. Kartu berisi gambar-gambar yang sering keluar di soal Ujian Nasional. Permainan kartu ini dimodifikasi dari permainan kartu pada umumnya. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa media kartu ini mampu meningkatkan nilai Ujian Nasional. Nilai Try Out 6 (sebelum perlakuan) yaitu 67,92 sedangkan nilai Ujian Nasional (sesudah perlakuan) yaitu 73,75. Persepsi peserta didik terhadap kebermanfaatan media kartu ini adalah sangat positif. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil wawancara kepada responden yang memberikan apresiasi dan merasakan manfaat dari media kartu KUPUBIL. Media pembelajaran kartu KUPUBIL dapat digunakan sebagai altenatif media pembelajaran dalam mempersiapkan Ujian Nasional Biologi.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to describe the form of the learning media which are created by the students. The research also to know entrepreneurship skill of students in the making of learning media based on ecopreneurship. The research method is descriptive research that is supported by quantitative data. The population is participants of Greenject 2017 competition, which requires 68 high school students in Jabodetabek or 34 teams. The sample is the finalist of education category (learning media) as many as 10 teams (20 students). Biology learning media can be made from used materials (garbage). The used materials being used are useless paper, useless cardboard, useless iron and zinc, scrap wood, plastic and useless electronic equipment. The learning media for biology lesson which is created by students are proven worthy of using as media of learning. As a matter of fact, some learning media are worthy of mass production. The entrepreneurship skills of students are in good category (40% excellent category and 60% good category). The production of learning media from the used materials can be used as a model of green entrepreneurship education or ecopreneurship.

Abstract

Biology is a subject that learn topics about morphology, anatomy, and physiology, biodiversity, ecosystem, and the environment. Therefore, an appropriate learning approach is needed for students so that the topics will be received by students well. Learning is not only about a transfer of knowledge but also skills and attitudes. This article describes about learning approaches that can be applied to students in Biology. The research was a literature study method from various literature. There are three kinds of learning approaches that appropriate in Biology. They are Scientific Approach, Environmental Exploration Approach, and Local Wisdom and Cultural Approach. The characteristic of the scientific approach was scientific thinking. The characteristics of the Environmental Exploration Approach was an exploration in the environment, such as natural, social, and technology. The characteristic of the local wisdom and cultural approach was ethnobiology and ethnopedagogy studies in learning through science processes based on the level of knowledge, skills and attitudes of students. These three approaches were expected to be an alternative in learning Biology because they contain the principles of scientific processes and student centered learning in them to accommodate 21st-century education.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an electronic module for the material of sensory system which is continued by investigating students' perceptions toward the E-module that is made. This research method is Research and Development (R&D). This research is only up to the design revision stage, not going to the mass production. This research is conducted at SMA Trisakti, Medan from March to July 2021. Previously, E-module is validated by language, material, and media validators which are classified as very suitable to be used as learning media at school. The E-module of sensory system contains cover, introduction, concept maps, book characteristics, material description, videos for learning, articles, questions for exercise with the answer keys, and bibliography. The material description will be divided into five parts. There are the eyes, nose, ears, tongue, and skin. In the E-module, it is also linked to video that can make it easier for students to understand the material. The E-module of sensory system belongs to a good category rating and interests the eleventh graders of SMA Trisakti Medan.

Abstract

Curriculum 2013 is a curriculum that emphasizes affective aspects (attitude values), cognitive aspects (knowledge), and psychomotor aspects (skill). The affective aspect consists of social values and spiritual values. Before the curriculum 2013 was declared, the Java community already has a life guide in the form of local wisdom called tembang macapat. Tembang macapat is a Javanese literature that belongs to a new Javanese literature. There is a poem containing the worthy value inside the tembang macapat. The worthy value is the social and spiritual value in daily life. Social values consits of honesty , discipline, responsibility, tolerance, cooperation, polite, and confidence. The Spiritual values are found in the tembang macapat which always reminds people to the God. There are 4 (four) types of tembang macapat which are analyzed. They are Pocung, Pangkur, Dhandhanggula and Kinanthi. There are value which found in that songs (tembang). The values are honest, discipline, responsibility, tolerance, polite, confidence and spiritual value. The preservation of the tembang macapat may be used to improve morale in a society that has begun to fade due to cultural influences from outside the Java community. Abstract

The purpose of the research in this article is to develop a student self-assessment instrument in learning biology. In addition, to determine the correlation of the results of the assessment conducted by the teacher and self-assessment by students. The method used is Research and Development (R & D) with a trial class, namely XI MIPA 2 SMA N 103 Jakarta. The Self-Assessment Instrument for Measuring Student Attitudes and Activities consists of (A) Cover, (B) Introduction Page, Table of Contents, and Guide Information, (C) Introduction, (D) Questions and Answer Sheets, (E) Score Calculations, (F) Closing and Bibliography. The questions consist of 19 questions using a rating scale with indicators: Spiritual Attitude, Honesty, Discipline, Responsibility, Tolerance, Environmental Care, Curiosity Attitude, Critical Thinking Attitude, Perseverance, Thoroughness, Cooperation, Creativity, Observing, Interpreting and Associating, Asking a question, Formulating tentative hypotheses or conjectures, Using tools and materials/performing scientific activities, Applying concepts, and Communicating. Based on the Spearman Rank Correlation Test, there is no match (correlation) between raters X (students) and raters Y (teachers). However, students stated that it was effective as a form of self-reflection

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the Biology learning approach applied in private high schools throughout Purworejo Regency and the factors that support and hinder the learning activities of Biology with the learning approach in private high schools throughout Purworejo Regency. Research methods are surveys and interviews related to the Biology Learning approach conducted in private high schools throughout Purworejo Regency. The research instrument was a non-test instrument and the data obtained were qualitative and quantitative data in the form of Biology National Examination (UN) scores which were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results obtained are (1). The approach used in Biology Learning in private high schools throughout Purworejo Regency is the Scientific Approach and the Natural Exploration Approach, while the Local Wisdom and Cultural Approach is rarely used. (2). Biology National Examination (UN) scores do not depend on the applied learning approach. This is because the learning outcomes of the Biology UN which are the benchmarks in this study cannot be used as a description of student learning outcomes (cognitive, affective, psychomotor) as a whole. (3). Factors that support and hinder the process of implementing the learning approach are the learning process, motivation, time and the ability of students..

Abstract

This study aims to determine the benefits of the fruit rind of Mangifera indica L. var arum manis (Mangga Arum Manis) as organic fertilizer on the growth of Brassica juncea L., to know the process of making the skin of the fruit of Mangifera indica L. var arum manis into organic fertilizer powder, as well as to determine the average growth of Brassica juncea L. (mustard greens) when using Mangifera indica L. var arum manis rind fertilizer, inorganic NPK fertilizer, or using only tap water. This type of research is an experimental study, namely the effect of giving powdered waste skin of Mangifera indica L. var arum manis inorganic NPK fertilizer, and giving ordinary tap water as fertilizer on the growth of Brassica juncea L. plants by using RAK (Randomized Block Design) one factor. The rind of the mango fruit can be made into fertilizer in the form of powder by drying in the sun which is then crushed to form a powder. Manganese rind powder can be used as organic fertilizer for the growth of mustard plants. The treatment of mustard plants with manganese rind powder fertilizer 50 g/L, resulted in mustard height and stalk length of mustard greens up to DAP (days after planting) 42, and also produced wider mustard leaves up to DAP 35, which was superior to the treatment of mustard plants with NPK fertilizer of 20 g/L and treat the mustard plant with water. The treatment of mustard plants with 20 g/L NPK fertilizer resulted in more mustard leaves up to 42 DAP, and wider mustard leaves, but only at 42 DAP, compared to the treatment of mustard plants with 50 g/L manganese rind powder fertilizer, and treatment of mustard greens with water

Abstract

The aims of this research include: 1) to describe the external factors of Class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 37 Jakarta; and 2) to analyze the relationship of students' external factors to the learning outcomes of Biology Class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 37 Jakarta. The survey method was used in this study. The questionnaire was given to 148 respondents and was declared valid. The dominant external factors in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 37 Jakarta sequentially are family environment factors > school environmental factors = parental education environment = friends factor > community environmental factors = time factor. The value of student learning outcomes in class XI MIPA SMAN 37 is above the KKM with an average of 76.13. There is a positive relationship/correlation between external factors and Biology learning outcomes for students of class XI MIPA SMAN 37 Jakarta. The very low correlation coefficient may be caused by other external factors, including zoom fatigue, limited network/signal, and limited internet quota owned by students.
