Abstract

Pengembangan literasi sains merupakan fokus utama dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia, terutama terkait rendahnya hasil literasi sains siswa berdasarkan survei PISA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM) berbasis STEM guna meningkatkan literasi sains mahasiswa calon guru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) model 4D: Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Pada tahap analisis kebutuhan, dilakukan identifikasi masalah, analisis kompetensi dasar, serta analisis konten yang relevan dengan pembelajaran literasi sains, khususnya materi gelombang bunyi. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa calon guru yang terlibat dalam pengujian LKM. Hasil uji validitas menunjukkan bahwa LKM mendapatkan skor rata-rata 4,57, dengan validator 1 memberikan skor 4,70, validator 2 dengan nilai 4,80, dan validator 3 dengan nilai 4,20, yang dinyatakan valid. Setelah divalidasi, LKM dinyatakan layak digunakan dengan sedikit perbaikan. Secara keseluruhan, pengembangan LKM ini dinyatakan valid dan harapannya dapat meningkatkan literasi sains pada mahasiswa calon guru. Studi lanjutan dapat diujikan kepada mahasiswa untuk melihat pengaruh bahan ajar ini terhadap peningkatan literasi sains mereka sebagai calon guru, serta mengeksplorasi pengembangan LKM untuk materi lain di berbagai jenjang pendidikan.

Abstract

Pelatihan ecopreneurship kepada siswa Madrasah Aliyah dilakukan sebagai salah satu upaya untuk mendukung pemerintah dalam menciptakan generasi muda yang memiliki jiwa entrepreneur yang tangguh. Adapun tujuan dari kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi tentang wawasan kewirausahaan dan pengalaman kepada siswa dalam menghasilkan produk kewirausahaan berbasis lingkungan hidup. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan melalui tiga tahap yaitu, tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, serta tahap refleksi dan tahap evaluasi. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan selama dua hari pada tanggal 23-24 April 2024 di MASS Khoiriyah Hasyim Seblak Jombang. Peserta kegiatan pelatihan adalah siswa kelas X dan XI IPA Putri sebanyak 31 orang. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 83,87% peserta aktif selama mengikuti pelatihan; nilai ketrampilan dari pembuatan produk sebesar 82; dan skor minat berwirausaha sebesar 81,5.

Abstract

AWH Tebuireng Jombang Middle School is a boarding school-based school with a superior program of instilling student character. concern for the environment, especially the use of waste in schools and the character of entrepreneurship. This service intends to conduct hydroponic cultivation education at AWH Tebuireng Jombang Middle School. The target of the service is the teachers and students of SMP AWH Tebuireng Jombang. This service aims to provide environmentally oriented waste utilization training based on hydroponic plant entrepreneurship. The method of this activity is delivery of material, discussion and practice. The benefit of this dedication is a means of knowledge and entrepreneurial practice by utilizing environmental preservation. The results obtained in the activity were that students and teachers at SMP AWH Tebuireng Jombang received education and practice about vegetable hydroponic ecopreanaurship by utilizing school waste. Lectures and practices on ecoprenaurship, hydroponic vegetable cultivation, utilization of waste for nutrients and hydroponic growing media, procurement of seeds and seedlings for hydroponic vegetables, management of hydroponic vegetable plants, hydroponic harvesting and sales of hydroponic crops. From the results of the questionnaire, 78% of service participants stated that they wanted to practice ecoprenaurship activities in hydroponic vegetable cultivation.

Abstract

Perkembangan gadget saat ini semakin canggih sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan oleh siapa saja. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberi penyuluhan kepada masyarakat tentang manfaat dan dampak penggunaan gadget yang berlebihan bagi anak-anak. Pengabdian ini dilakukan di desa Sepanyul Kecamatan Gudo Kabupaten Jombang. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan, yakni: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan akhir. Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian diketahui bahwa orang tua tidak mengawasi anak-anaknya ketika pembelajaran daring di era covid 19, sehingga anak dapat mengakses situs-situs lain yang tidak terkait dengan materi pembelajaran. Orang tua memberi kebebasan kepada anak untuk mengoperasikan gadgetnya diluar jam pembelajaran. Kebebasan yang diberikan orang tua kepada anak disebabkan ketidaktahuan mereka terhadap perubahan karakter anak dan bahaya radiasi gelombang elektromagnetik yang dikeluarkan oleh gadget. Oleh karena itu, penyuluhan ini diharapkan dapat memberi pemahaman kepada masyarakat tentang pentingnya pengawasan dan memberi batasan waktu kepada anak untuk bermain gadget.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are needed by students to solve problems in real life, such as environmental problems related to waste in the environment around students. The purpose of this study is to improve students' critical thinking skills through bioentrepreneurship learning. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), consisting of two cycles, where each cycle includes planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting stages. The subjects involved in this research are students of study program X of Jombang X University class of 2020. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation and tests. This study used instruments in the form of observation sheets and critical thinking skills assessments in the form of description questions. The data is analyzed in a qualitative, descriptive way through the calculation of the average score obtained. The conclusion of the research results is that there is an increase in the average critical thinking skills of students through the implementation of bioentrepreneurship learning with project activities from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, students' average critical thinking skills were 2.89 with the criteria of "still underdeveloped," and in cycle II, they were 3.33 with the criteria of "well developed".

Abstract

This study aims to develop an innovative learning medium in the form of an animated video assisted by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Canva for the topic of heat and temperature for seventh-grade students. The research employs the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through media validation sheets and student response questionnaires. Validation results from material experts, media experts, and practitioners showed an average score of 96%, categorized as very valid, while the practicality test involving 31 students achieved 98%, categorized as very practical. The integration of AI technology not only accelerates the media production process but also supports interactive and independent learning aligned with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum. Based on the research findings, the AI- and Canva-assisted animated video media is considered feasible for use both in classroom and independent learning to enhance students’ motivation and engagement.

Abstract

The research problem is that students often memorize science concepts without deep understanding, leading to low metacognitive awareness and an inability to solve new problems like corrosion topics. This study aims to measure improvement in metacognitive awareness and cognitive learning outcomes through Project-Based Learning (PjBL). The research method is that a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. The participants were fourth-semester mechanical engineering students at UNHASY. Data were collected using a metacognitive awareness questionnaire and a cognitive learning test, administered before and after the PjBL intervention. The data were analyzed quantitatively using a Paired Sample T-Test to determine the significance of the differences between the pretest and posttest scores for both metacognitive awareness and learning outcomes. The research results showed significant improvement in both metacognitive awareness (t=4.70, p<0.05) and learning outcomes (t=4.87, p<0.05). It is concluded that Project-Based Learning is an effective instructional model for fostering metacognitive awareness and improving academic achievement in science education. Its implementation is highly recommended to develop higher-order thinking skills and deeper conceptual understanding.
