Abstract

The main aim of this research are to describe (1) cognitive learning outcomes of students who were taught using the cognitive apprenticeship using reciprocal teaching (RT), scardamalia and bereiter?s F.W (SB), and schoenfeld problem solving (SPS) strategies and (2) metacognitive skill level of students who are taught using the cognitive apprenticeship with RT, SB, and SPS strategies. This type of research is experimental research using the static group pretest-posttest design consisting of three classes of experiments with different treatments. Research subjects are students of XI IPA 2 SMA Darul Ulum Unggulan BPPT Jombang by the number of each class of experiments is 22 students. Instruments used are in the form of test and questionnaire. Students' cognitive learning outcomes data obtained will be analyzed with one way ANOVA using SPSS 19 and questionnaire data will be described.The result of data analysis revealed that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted. It means that there was differences in cognitive learning outcomes of students who were taught using the cognitive apprenticeship with RT, SB, and SPS strategies. Metacognitive skill level of individual students experiencing increased tendency for RT, SB, and SPS class, while the average grade of students' metacognitive skills is in grade 3, developing grade for RT and SB class, while grade of students' metacognitive skills is in grade 4, ok grage for SPS class. It can be concluded that the cognitive apprenticeship learning with SPS strategy can be used to teach metacognitive skills with more scaffolding and advised to use RT and SB strategies for suitable characteristics topic (reading and writing)Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan (1) Hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan magang kognitif dengan strategi reciprocal teaching (RT), scardamalia and bereiter?s F.W (SB), dan schoenfeld problem solving (SPS), (2) Tingkat keterampilan metakognitif siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan magang kognitif dengan strategi RT, SB, dan SPS. Tingkat keterampilan metakognitif siswa secara individual mengalami kecendrungan meningkat untuk kelas RT, SB, dan SPS, sedangkan secara rata - rata kelas tingkat keterampilan metakognitif siswa berada pada tingkat 3 yaitu tingkat developing untuk kelas RT, dan SB, sedangkan untuk kelas SPS berada pada tingkat 4 yaitu tingkat ok. Disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran magang kognitif dengan strategi SPS dapat digunakan untuk mengajarkan keterampilan metakognitif, dengan pendampingan yang lebih maksimal dan disarankan untuk menerapkan strategi RT dan SB pada topik yang memiliki karakteristik yang sesuai yaitu membaca dan menulis

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of the plastic waste chopping machine. The type of research used is experimental research. The object of research is a plastic waste chopping machine by modifying the shape to be simpler. Plastic waste shredder can work well. This machine can chop plastic with a thickness of 0.3 mm in 14.4 kg/hour and plastic waste with a thickness of 0.5 mm in a time of 18 kg/hour.

Abstract

The misuse of borax as a food additive is still often found in food/snacks, including in the elementary school environment. Therefore, the community service team of Faculty of Engineering, Hasyim Asy'ari University took the initiative to disseminate information about the risks of borax misuse and how to detect the presence of borax in a food. This community service program aims to socialize to the public about the use of turmeric as an ingredient to test foods containing borax in a simple way. This is socialized to the public, especially the guardians of SDIT Darul Falah Cukir Jombang. The final target of this community service program activity is to increase public awareness about the importance of monitoring the food eaten by their children so that the development of children is well maintained. Based on the results of this community service, it is known that the socialization carried out could provide knowledge to the community about the meaning and importance of healthy food for student development and provide knowledge about how to test food easily, in an effective and efficient way.

Abstract

Drying is a process that aims to prevent decay. However, the natural drying process can produce less than optimal results, especially during the rainy season. Uncertainty about the use of solar energy triggers to conduct this research. In addition, it takes a long time and requires a large area during the drying process, so this research aims to provide a more optimal value in terms of efficiency by using a rack-type egg tray drying machine. The dimensions of the shelf-type egg tray drying cabinet are 500 x 500 x 900 and a control box. The heating elements are arranged in parallel consisting of 3 tubular heating elements. The thermal efficiency generated in the rack type egg tray drying machine with an average thermal efficiency value of 32.18% and the highest thermal efficiency value produced on the first rack reached 38.32%

Abstract

CNC (computerized numerical control) is which means that all movements of machine parts are moved or controlled by program commands in the form of numerical codes on a computer. CNC knowledge needs to be given from an early age in vocational high schools or vocational schools. Vocational school graduates need to master this reliable technology in order to be able to compete, because almost all industrial machines have implemented digitalization systems with the aim of efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to provide vocational school level CNC roughter training to improve skills before entering the world of work. The service stages include preparation, implementation, evaluation and reporting stages. CNC roughter machine training is able to influence the learning outcomes of class XI students at SMK 10 November Jombang.

Abstract

Fluid is a substance that is capable of flowing. The types of fluids that are often used in everyday life are liquid fluids and gas fluids. To drain the fluid you need a laundry device called a pump. The working principle of the pump is to provide pressure or energy to the fluid. This type of research is experimental research, namely, researchers carry out experiments to obtain data in the form of numbers or quantitative data. Researchers varied the valve openings from 0o, 25o, 45o, and 65o and used a pump rotation of 1600 RPM. This research plan is to determine the effect of valve opening on pump capacity and efficiency. The research results show that the pump capacity and efficiency results at valve openings from 0o to 65o have increased significantly. The greatest capacity and efficiency occur at 65o valve openings with a value of 6 L/M and 43.2%.

Abstract

This research is relevant for the development of micro hydro power plants, where selecting the right turbine type can influence the output power. This research aims to compare the performance of crossflow and pelton turbines on power output for micro hydro power plants. Crossflow and pelton turbines have different characteristics in handling air flow. This research uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods. The blade shape of the crossflow turbine with blades designed to capture the air flow twice, produces a lower power of 0.70 Watts. In contrast, the Pelton turbine, with bowl-shaped blades designed to capture more air, produces higher power, namely 1.19 Watts. So the blade shape of the Pelton turbine is superior in terms of producing power.

Abstract

At this time the dry season tends to be longer than it should be, this can be utilized as alternative energy which can be used as a substitute for fossil fuels, alternative energy that can be utilized during the hot dry season as a substitute for fossil energy is solar power generation (PLTS) which can be used for various needs, one of which is used for wind compressors, air compressors usually suck air from the atmosphere, but there are also those that attract air or gas with a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure. A 90 watt air compressor based on 120 WP monocrystalline solar cells is one of the applications for solar power generation (PLTS), This 90 watt wind compressor based on 120 WP monocrystalline solar cells uses the R&D (Research And Development) method. This design process begins with making a tool design including frame design, solar panels, ESP 32, battery, 90 watt air compressor, inverter, The results of the design of a 90 watt wind compressor based on a 120 Wp monocrystalline solar panel. This tool has frame dimensions of 800 x 720 x 500 mm using hollow iron (25 x 25 mm), this tool uses a battery type VOZ VD12-12 (12V 7.0AH), SCC (Solar Charge Control) with type STEC ZS10-10A, ESP 32 as the controller, uses an inverter which functions to change the current from DC to AC with a voltage of 2000 W, and uses a 90 watt air compressor.
