Abstract

The practice of yajña in the era of technological dominance has entered a critical period due to the rise of the phenomenon of the Religion Misconception Pandemic which causes yajña practitioners to fail to understand the meaning and only focus on quantity. Therefore, the Cognition Recovery Method is important to be realized through a renewable innovative method based on literature to create an innovative and relevant method in overcoming the Religion Misconception Pandemic when performing yajña. The data analysis techniques are (1) analyzing the referred lontar, (2) tracing the Religion Misperception Pandemic regarding the hermeneutics of yajña in the referred lontar, (3) developing a Cognition Recovery Method to correct yajña misconceptions, and (4) presenting the findings in a structured manner. The results of the study indicate that the lontar-based Cognition Recovery Method is quite effective in correcting yajña misconceptions through efforts; (1) Cognition Recovery Method Pro Kayika, in the form of introducing ritual sanctions, curative efforts, and behavioral control, (2) Cognition Recovery Method Pro Wacika, in the form of controlling aspects of speech and ritual sanctions, and (3) Cognition Recovery Method Pro Manacika, in the form of controlling thoughts. These efforts contribute to enriching the number of renewable methods and can be used in science by including meaningful analysis based on literary studies as a legacy of local wisdom. These efforts play a role in understanding in depth what, how, and why yajña is obligatory for Hindus to carry out.

Abstract

Abstract

Vitamin D deficiency can lead to various bone diseases, such as osteoporosis. Standard laboratory tests used to assess bone turnover and formation activity are the N-Mid Osteocalcin (N-Mid) and C-Terminal Telopeptide (C-Tx) tests. Imbalance in N-Mid and C-Tx levels can result in bone health disorders. This study aims to analyze the relationship between Vitamin D levels and N-Mid and C-Tx values. This research used an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional retrospective approach. A total of 32 respondents were selected using total sampling technique. Statistical analysis was performed using Spearman’s Rho test to examine the relationship between Vitamin D levels and N-Mid and C-Tx values. The results showed no significant relationship between Vitamin D levels and N-Mid values (p > 0.05), and no significant relationship between Vitamin D levels and C-Tx values (p > 0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is no significant relationship between Vitamin D levels and N-Mid Osteocalcin or C-Terminal Telopeptide in patients tested at Laboratorium Klinik Prodia Bekasi. This study provides insights into the importance of monitoring Vitamin D levels in bone disease prevention, even though the results indicate no significant relationship with N-Mid and C-Tx parameters.

Abstract

Introduction: A Headache is a common complaint among individuals with hypertension and is often associated with elevated blood pressure. One form of complementary therapy that can be applied to alleviate this symptom is Slow Stroke Back Massage (SSBM). Objectives: This study aimed to examine the effect of Slow Stroke Back Massage on headache intensity in older adults with hypertension. Methods: This quantitative research employed a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest approach. Thirty-four hypertensive older adults participated in the study and were selected through purposive sampling. The intervention group received SSBM therapy three times per week for 10 minutes over four weeks, while the control group received only standard antihypertensive medication. Headache intensity was measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Results: The mean pre-test headache intensity score was 6.12 ± 1.62 in the intervention group and 5.82 ± 1.55 in the control group. After the intervention, the mean scores decreased to 2.71 ± 1.53 and 3.82 ± 1.55, respectively. The reduction in headache intensity was 3.41 points in the intervention group and 2.00 points in the control group. The Wilcoxon test showed a significant difference in the intervention group (p = 0.000), while the paired sample t-test confirmed significance in the control group (p = 0.000). The pre-test comparison between groups using the independent t-test indicated no significant difference (p = 0.592), whereas the post-test comparison using the Mann-Whitney U test showed a significant difference (p = 0.041). These findings suggest that SSBM significantly reduces headache intensity among hypertensive older adults. Conclusions: Slow Stroke Back Massage is an effective, safe, and non-pharmacological intervention for reducing headache intensity in hypertensive patients. Its application is recommended as a complementary therapy in elderly care.
