Abstract

College students as individuals who are in the early adulthood phase, have a lot of desire to explore themselves through a series of learning processes in lectures and also organizational activities. Student involvement in organizational activities means students have multiple roles. Students playing multiple roles is a phenomenon that is most often encountered in the campus environment. In living life as a student and organizer, of course there are many challenges and work that must be faced and resolved. Sometimes this dual role can also have various impacts on students. Therefore, by looking at the roles and responsibilities of each role, the researcher wants to reveal in descriptive form a picture of job crafting among students with multiple roles. Data collection method using semi-structured interviews. The criteria for interviewees are students who join organizations as a second role. This research involved three sources to be interviewed. The analysis technique used uses thematic analysis techniques to identify themes in the data. The result is that students have 4 aspects of job crafting, namely: increasing structural job resources, increasing challenging job demands, increasing social job resources, decreasing hindering job demands. Each aspect has a more detailed sub-theme. AbstrakMahasiswa sebagai individu yang berada pada tahap fase dewasa awal, memiliki banyak keinginan untuk mengeksplorasi diri melalui serangkaian proses pembelajaran yang ada di perkuliahan dan juga kegiatan organisasi. Keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam kegiatan organisasi membuat mahasiswa memiliki peran ganda. Mahasiswa berperan ganda merupakan fenomena yang paling sering dijumpai dalam lingkungan kampus. Dalam menjalani kehidupan sebagai mahasiswa dan organisator tentunya banyak tantangan dan pekerjaan yang harus dihadapi dan diselesaikan. Terkadang peran ganda ini juga dapat menimbulkan berbagai dampak pada mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu dengan melihat peran dan tanggung jawabnya masing-masing peran, peneliti ingin mengungkap dalam bentuk deskriptif gambaran job crafting pada mahasiswa berperan ganda. Metode pengambilan data dengan wawancara semi terstruktur. Kriteria narasumber adalah mahasiswa yang mengikuti organisasi sebagai peran kedua. Penelitian ini melibatkan tiga narasumber untuk diwawancarai. Teknik analisis yang digunakan menggunakan teknik analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi tema dalam data. Hasilnya adalah mahasiswa memiliki 4 aspek dalam job crafting, yaitu: increasing structural job resources, increasing challenging job demands, increasing social job resources, decreasing hindering job demands. Setiap aspek tersebut memiliki sub tema yang lebih merinci.

Abstract

This development research aims to create digital-based learning content on psychological first aid as a first step to reduce self-harm behaviour as an effort to provide psychological support in crisis situations. This is due to the rampant cases of mental disorders that lead to self-harm. This learning media development uses the ADDIE development model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data analysis used was descriptive analysis of the trial results and the effectiveness of the media conducted through a survey to 57 students regarding the understanding and user response to the media developed using 8 (indicators) of assessment. Digital learning media produced in the form of educational content uploaded through massive online open courses and also through 2 (two) social media, namely YouTube and Instagram. All respondents gave an assessment that their understanding of PFA and self-harm increased after reading and watching the educational videos presented. Digital learning media can be an effective tool in educating mental health, including PFA to deal with self-harm. Recommendations and suggestions for further development are to expand the target audience and conduct further research to assess the long-term impact of media on self-harm management.

Abstract

In the family, the close relationship between children and parents is an important aspect that can affect a person's psychological well-being. However, the arrival of stepparents may bring changes in the order of family life so that it will affect the psychological well-being of the person. This study aims to explore and understand aspects of psychological well-being that arise in college students who have stepparents. The method used is a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. There were four participants in the study. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interview techniques. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques use thematic analysis. The results revealed significant findings related to psychological well-being in students who have stepparents. Each participant expressed a positive view of themselves, determined life decisions independently, but admitted his closeness to stepparents. In addition, their life goals are influenced by values, and they have a different picture of the ideal place to live. The findings provide an in-depth understanding of college students' experiences with stepparents and their implications for their psychological well- being. Abstrak Dalam keluarga, hubungan kedekatan antara anak dan orang tua merupakan aspek penting yang dapat memengaruhi kesejahteraan psikologis seseorang. Namun, kedatangan orang tua tiri mungkin akan membawa perubahan dalam tatanan kehidupan keluarga sehingga akan berpengaruh pada kesejahteran psikologis orang tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan memahami aspek kesejahteraan psikologis yang muncul pada mahasiswa yang memiliki orang tua tiri. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Terdapat empat partisipan dalam penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik wawancara semi terstruktur. Sementara, teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil yang ditemukan yaitu mengungkap temuan signifikan terkait kesejahteraan psikologis pada mahasiswa yang memiliki orang tua tiri. Setiap partisipan mengekspresikan pandangan positif terhadap diri mereka sendiri, menentukan keputusan hidup secara mandiri, tetapi mengakui ketidakdekatannya dengan orang tua tiri. Selain itu, tujuan hidup mereka dipengaruhi oleh nilai-nilai, dan mereka memiliki gambaran tempat tinggal ideal yang berbeda. Temuan ini memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang pengalaman mahasiswa dengan orang tua tiri dan implikasinya terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis mereka.

Abstract

The Bugis-Makassar tribes are two large tribes from South Sulawesi, Indonesia, renowned for their migration tradition. Many Buginese-Makassarese young people continue this tradition by seeking better educational opportunities outside their hometown. This study aims to explore the social identity of Buginese-Makassarese migrant students in foreign cities. Using a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach and interpretive paradigm, data was collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis, which resulted in five key themes. The findings reveal that Buginese-Makassarese migrant students feel secure in revealing their social identity, as they maintain a positive balance in their relations with both ingroups and outgroups. They display strong cohesiveness and empathy when interacting within the ingroup and exhibit self-esteem, tolerance, and effective adaptation when engaging with the outgroup. Notably, the cultural values of siri’ na pacce—which emphasize dignity, empathy, and mutual support—play a crucial role in shaping their social identity and promoting psychological well-being. These values contribute significantly to the student’s self-concept and their ability to navigate complex social interactions in a new environment. This study provides valuable insights into how migrant students, particularly from the Buginese-Makassarese ethnic group, can adjust and maintain their cultural values while adapting to life in different cities.

Abstract

The increase in the number of international students from Indonesia continues. Cultural and environmental differences between home countries and study destinations present significant challenges, one of which is loneliness, which is a common problem among students. Studies show that loneliness affects the mental and academic health of international students, including those from Indonesia. Therefore, this study aims to examine the role of loneliness on psychological well-being and its six dimensions in Indonesian students studying abroad. This study used a quantitative correlational approach, with the research instruments being the UCLA Loneliness Scale and the Psychological Wellbeing Scale. A total of 214 participants were selected through purposive sampling and analysed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results showed that the majority of participants had low levels of loneliness (79.4%) and high psychological well-being (69.2%). Furthermore, loneliness had a negative role on each dimension of psychological well-being and overall psychological well-being with a range of 0.232-0.518. Thus, it can be concluded that the lower the loneliness of university students, the higher their psychological well-being and conversely. The findings imply the need to increase students' awareness of psychological health and the active role of student organisations in facilitating self-adjustment and strengthening social relationships to maintain the psychological well-being of Indonesian students abroad.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas relawan bencana melalui pelatihan dasar Psychological First Aid (PFA). Latar belakang program didasari oleh tingginya kerentanan bencana di Indonesia serta terbatasnya jumlah tenaga psikolog profesional yang dapat memberikan dukungan psikososial segera. Pelatihan dilaksanakan di dua kota, yaitu Malang dan Makassar, dengan total 49 peserta. Metode pelatihan mencakup paparan materi, simulasi role-play, diskusi reflektif, serta evaluasi melalui pre–post test dan lembar refleksi. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dasar PFA, serta penguatan empati, kesadaran diri, dan komunikasi peserta. Evaluasi mengungkap perlunya praktik lapangan yang lebih intensif dan pendampingan berkelanjutan agar keterampilan semakin terasah. Sebagai tindak lanjut, program ini direkomendasikan untuk diperluas ke daerah rawan bencana dengan modul lanjutan dan dukungan lintas sektor. Dengan demikian, pelatihan PFA terbukti efektif memperkuat kapasitas relawan dan berkontribusi pada terbentuknya komunitas yang lebih tangguh dan berdaya.
