Abstract

This community service aims to empower women's economy in Eran Batu Village through product innovation based on local resources. By utilizing banana stems previously considered waste, this activity succeeded in creating a chip product with promising market potential. Through a series of processing training and mentoring, this service has made a significant contribution to increasing women's knowledge, skills, and self-confidence in entrepreneurship. As a result, new products with added value are created, and a strong social network between women is formed. Furthermore, this service has succeeded in changing people's perceptions regarding the economic potential of local resources and encouraging the use of simple technology in the production process. Thus, this service not only has an economic impact but also a social and cultural impact on the people of Eran Batu Village.

Abstract

Madrasahs, as Islamic educational institutions, function not only as places for the transfer of knowledge but also as complex social systems, where interactions between members play a crucial role in shaping the quality of learning. This literature review examines the dynamics of classroom interactions and the roles of various stakeholders teachers, students, parents, and madrasah administrators in creating an effective Islamic learning ecosystem. Previous studies have shown that positive interactions between teachers and students, collaboration between stakeholders, and a supportive social environment in madrasahs contribute to the development of students' character, religiosity, and academic competence. The method used in this research is a qualitative literature review, analyzing journals, books, and scientific articles from 2018 to 2024 that are relevant to madrasahs as Islamic social and learning systems. The results reveal that adaptive, communicative, and collaborative classroom interactions strengthen the process of socializing Islamic values, while the active involvement of parents and madrasah administrators supports the creation of a conducive learning environment. The discussion emphasizes the importance of synergy between academic, social, and religious dimensions in building a holistic learning ecosystem. In conclusion, madrasas, as social systems, require effective classroom interaction management and integrated stakeholder participation to produce quality Islamic education. The implications of this study can inform the development of policies, programs, and pedagogical practices in modern madrasas.

Abstract

Islamic education plays a strategic role in creating vertical mobility and reducing social inequality through equal access and learning opportunities. Madrasahs, as Islamic educational institutions, function not only as institutions for religious learning but also as agents of socio-economic change in society. This literature review aims to examine the relationship between social stratification and vertical mobility in the context of Islamic education, specifically the role of madrasahs in improving the socio-economic status of the community. The research method used is a literature review, reviewing empirical and theoretical research findings from various recent sources (2019–2024). The results indicate that madrasahs play a significant role in creating social mobility by improving students' religious, academic, and entrepreneurial skills. Furthermore, madrasahs are able to bridge the social gap between lower and middle economic groups through inclusive education policies. In the modern context, digital transformation and government policies regarding madrasahs have strengthened their position as instruments of human development and social mobility. Thus, Islamic education through madrasahs contributes significantly to changing social structures towards a more just and productive society.

Abstract

Krisis ekonomi global yang terjadi dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, termasuk akibat pandemi dan ketidakstabilan ekonomi dunia, telah memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap keberlanjutan pendidikan di berbagai jenjang, termasuk madrasah. Artikel ini merupakan studi literatur yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis resiliensi pendidikan Islam pasca krisis dengan fokus pada dampak ekonomi terhadap akses pendidikan madrasah serta strategi adaptasi keluarga Muslim dalam mempertahankan pendidikan anak-anak mereka. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menelaah hasil-hasil penelitian terdahulu dari berbagai jurnal nasional dan internasional antara tahun 2018 hingga 2024. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa krisis ekonomi berdampak langsung pada keterbatasan biaya pendidikan, meningkatnya angka putus sekolah, serta ketimpangan akses antara daerah perkotaan dan pedesaan. Namun, resiliensi pendidikan Islam tampak melalui peran aktif keluarga, lembaga zakat, dan madrasah dalam menciptakan sistem adaptif berbasis solidaritas sosial dan digitalisasi pembelajaran. Strategi adaptasi keluarga Muslim meliputi optimalisasi sumber daya ekonomi, partisipasi dalam komunitas keagamaan, serta pemanfaatan teknologi daring dalam pendidikan anak. Studi ini menegaskan pentingnya kolaborasi antara pemerintah, madrasah, dan masyarakat dalam memperkuat ketahanan pendidikan Islam menghadapi tantangan ekonomi di masa depan

Abstract

Profesionalisme guru madrasah merupakan aspek penting dalam pendidikan Islam yang tidak hanya berkaitan dengan kompetensi akademik, tetapi juga kemampuan guru untuk menyeimbangkan ekspektasi sekolah, kebutuhan murid, dan tuntutan masyarakat. Penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur yang bertujuan untuk merekonstruksi pemahaman tentang peran guru madrasah dalam konteks sosial yang dinamis. Literatur yang ditinjau mencakup berbagai jurnal, buku, dan artikel ilmiah yang membahas profesionalisme guru, manajemen madrasah, serta interaksi sosial guru dengan murid dan masyarakat. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa guru madrasah dihadapkan pada dilema antara standar akademik yang ditetapkan sekolah, kebutuhan individual murid yang beragam, dan ekspektasi sosial masyarakat yang luas. Profesionalisme guru tercermin melalui kemampuan adaptasi, komunikasi efektif, pengembangan diri secara berkelanjutan, dan implementasi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter. Kajian ini menegaskan pentingnya dukungan institusional, pelatihan berkelanjutan, dan kolaborasi dengan komunitas untuk meningkatkan efektivitas guru madrasah. Dengan pendekatan rekonstruksi peran, guru tidak hanya menjadi pengajar tetapi juga fasilitator sosial yang mampu menyeimbangkan tuntutan akademik dan sosial. Penelitian ini menyarankan strategi pengembangan profesionalisme guru madrasah yang kontekstual, berbasis kebutuhan murid, serta responsif terhadap dinamika masyarakat. Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi referensi bagi pengambil kebijakan pendidikan Islam, kepala madrasah, dan guru dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di madrasah.

Abstract

21st-century education faces complex challenges due to rapid technological developments, globalization, and changing patterns of social interaction, which require character formation based on moral and ethical values. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic ethics in addressing the dynamics of modern education through a literature study approach. Data were collected from Islamic education textbooks, national and international journal articles, and educational policy documents. The results of the study indicate that Islamic ethical values ​​such as honesty (ṣidq), trustworthiness (amanah), justice (‘adl), responsibility (mas’uliyyah), and moderation (wasathiyah) are highly relevant in shaping the character of intelligent, adaptive, and virtuous students. Islamic ethics provides guidelines for the wise use of digital technology, addressing the impact of globalization, and fostering social awareness and ecological awareness. The holistic integration of ethical values ​​into the curriculum, learning methods, and school culture is crucial to ensure education produces individuals with character and noble morals. This study concludes that Islamic ethics is not merely a normative norm, but also a practical strategy in modern, humanistic, and sustainable education. The implications of this research encourage the implementation of Islamic values-based education integrated with digital literacy, 21st-century skills, and comprehensive student character development.

Abstract

The development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has brought about major changes in various sectors of life, including education. Islamic education, as a system based on Islamic values, is required to be able to adapt dynamically without losing its normative identity. This article aims to examine the concept of tajdid (renewal) and the transformation of Islamic education in responding to the challenges of the digital era through a literature study approach. The method used is a literature review of scientific articles, books, and research reports relevant to the themes of Islamic education, tajdid, and the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The results of the study indicate that Islamic education faces serious challenges in the form of technological disruption, changes in the character of digital generation students, and the demands of 21st-century competencies that emphasize creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and digital literacy. In this context, tajdid is understood as a contextual and progressive renewal effort without abandoning the basic principles of Islamic teachings. The transformation of Islamic education is reflected in changes to the curriculum, learning methods, the role of educators, and the use of digital technology as a medium and learning resource. The integration of Islamic values ​​with digital technology is key to ensuring that the educational process not only produces individuals who are intellectually and technologically proficient but also possess Islamic character. The conclusion of this article emphasizes that the renewal and transformation of Islamic education are strategic imperatives to address the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 while maintaining the primary mission of Islamic education to develop individuals of faith, knowledge, and noble character.

Abstract

Islamic education aims to shape whole human beings who believe in Allah SWT and have noble morals. However, the reality of modern education shows a tendency to emphasize cognitive aspects that often neglect the spiritual and moral dimensions. Therefore, the integration of the values ​​of monotheism and morals in learning in Islamic schools is an urgent need to realize holistic education. This study aims to examine in depth the concept, strategies, and implications of the integration of the values ​​of monotheism and morals in learning in Islamic schools based on a literature review. The method used is a qualitative approach with a literature study (library research) through an analysis of relevant books and scientific articles published in the last five years. The results of the study indicate that the integration of the values ​​of monotheism and morals is reflected in five main aspects: monotheism as the philosophical foundation of learning, morals as the substantive goal of education, the integration of values ​​in the curriculum and teaching materials, the role of teachers as role models, and school culture as a reinforcement of the internalization of values. This integration of values ​​is able to shape the awareness of God, moral responsibility, and Islamic character of students in a sustainable manner. This study confirms that the integration of the values ​​of monotheism and morals is not merely an additional approach, but rather the core of the Islamic education system. Thus, Islamic schools are expected to consistently implement learning that integrates faith, knowledge, and morals to address the challenges of education in the modern era.

Abstract

The spirit of tajdid (renewal) has been the spirit of the Muhammadiyah movement since its inception, oriented towards the purification of Islamic teachings as well as the dynamism of the people's lives according to the demands of the times. Muhammadiyah campuses as higher education institutions have a strategic role in internalizing the spirit of tajdid through the synergy of da'wah, education, and innovation. This study aims to analyze the concept and implementation of the spirit of tajdid on Muhammadiyah campuses and its relevance in responding to the challenges of globalization, the industrial revolution 4.0, and contemporary socio-religious changes. The method used is a literature study by examining books, journal articles, and official Muhammadiyah documents relevant to the themes of tajdid, Islamic education, and higher education innovation. The results of the study indicate that the spirit of tajdid on Muhammadiyah campuses is manifested in three main pillars: (1) enlightenment da'wah that emphasizes progressive, moderate Islam, and is oriented towards the welfare of the people; (2) education that integrates Islamic, scientific, and Indonesian values ​​holistically; and (3) academic and institutional innovation through the development of research, technology, and social entrepreneurship. The synergy of these three aspects is a crucial foundation for building a superior Muhammadiyah campus that is globally competitive and remains rooted in Islamic values. This study emphasizes that the spirit of renewal is not merely an ideological discourse, but rather a practical paradigm that must be implemented sustainably in all activities of the Tridharma (three pillars) of Muhammadiyah higher education.
