Abstract

This research is a quantitative study. The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of volleyball learning on the character formation of students and to ascertain the effectiveness of character formation through volleyball learning. This study employs an experimental method. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 TelukJambe. The population of this research consists of the tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 TelukJambe, totaling 358 students. The sample used in this study is Simple Random Sampling, comprising 5 individuals per class. The research design used is a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research instrument utilized a questionnaire on the character formation of students. The results of this research show significant outcomes in the average results before and after the treatment.The average pretest score was 173.80 and the average posttest score was 182.78, indicating a significant increase. Meanwhile, the results of the hypothesis testing using the paired sample T-test with data obtained from the study showed a significance value(2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning there is a significant effect between the average scores before and after the treatment. It can be concluded that volleyball learning can influence the character formation of 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 TelukJambe.

Abstract

Salah satu metode pukulan yang perlu dipelajari pemain bulu tangkis adalah teknik smash. karena teknik ini sangat dibutuhkan oleh pemain saat pertandingan untuk mendapatkan poin dan membutuhkan latihan yang rutin yaitu melalui latihan drill smash kanan kiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan drill dengan pola smash kanan-kiri terhadap peningkatan akurasi pukulan smash bulutangkis pada peserta ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis di SMAN 4 Tambun Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 20 siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis, dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes keterampilan akurasi smash bulutangkis untuk mengukur akurasi dalam teknik pukulan smash bulutangkis. Perlakuan diberikan selama 8 kali pertemuan. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t (paired sample t-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada keterampilan akurasi smash siswa setelah diberikan perlakuan latihan drill dengan pola smash kanan-kiri. Rata-rata skor pretest adalah 24,6 dan posttest adalah 29 dengan selisih peningkatan 4,4. Hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa latihan drill dengan pola smash kanan-kiri berpengaruh signifikan terhadap akurasi pukulan smash pada peserta ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis di SMAN 4 Tambun Selatan, dengan nilai t hitung (9,314) > t tabel (2,093) dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of baseball throwing and catching training on lob hitting skills in badminton extracurriculars at SMA Negeri 3 Tambun Selatan. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with experimental research methods. The population in this study were all Badminton Extracurricular participants at SMA Negeri 3 Tambun Selatan, totaling 30 students. The research sample was taken using total sampling technique. This research instrument uses the French Test measurement test which was previously created by previous researchers. The data analysis technique uses pretest posttest design. The results of the research were a pretest mean of 12.00 and a greater posttest mean = 14.33. The results of the paired sample t-test analysis with the data obtained are a significance value (2-tailed) = 0.000 less than the significance level (α) = 0.05, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that baseball throwing and catching training can have an effect on improving lob hitting skills in badminton extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 3 Tambun Selatan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between student discipline and learning outcomes in physical education sports and health learning for class VIII students of SMP Neger 2 Telukjambe Barat. This research uses quantitative with correlation research methods using questionnaires. The research sample was class VIII students totaling 85 students. This study aims to determine the relationship between student discipline using a questionnaire and learning outcomes using the last semester report card scores. Data analysis techniques using product moment correlation techniques. The results obtained showed that if student discipline with learning outcomes in learning physical education sports and health as evidenced by the Significance value is 0.001 <0.05. These results can be interpreted that there is a relationship between student discipline and learning outcomes in learning physical education sports and health in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Telukjambe Barat. And has a correlation of 0.377 and obtained a coefficient of determination R Square of 0.142 which implies that the influence of the student discipline variable with the learning outcomes variable is 14.2%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine, analyze, and identify the influence of motor educability on basketball playing skills in physical education among junior high school students. This research was conducted on the basketball court of SMP Negeri 6 Karawang Barat, involving students from class VIII G. The study employed an experimental method. Sampling was done using purposive sampling technique based on predetermined criteria, with a total of 39 students selected as participants. The instrument used was the Game Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI). The results of this study show a significant effect, as evidenced by the increase in the average pretest score of 1.92 to a posttest average of 3.99 after the treatment was administered. This is also supported by the results of the paired sample t-test, which showed a significance value of 0.000 (Sig. 2-tailed < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. This means there was a notable improvement in performance after the treatment. The effect is reflected in the increased influence of motor educability on basketball playing skills in physical education for junior high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the circuit training method on improving smash skills in badminton among extracurricular students at SMAN 2 Sukatani. The background of this research lies in the importance of the smash technique as a primary offensive move in badminton, along with the need for a structured and effective training method to enhance this ability. The circuit training method was selected for its potential to develop strength, endurance, agility, and overall body coordination. This research employed a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 30 badminton extracurricular students, selected using total sampling. The instrument used was a practical test of smash skills, covering initial stance, execution, and follow-through phases. Data were collected through a pre-test before treatment and a post-test after eight sessions of circuit training. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and a paired sample t-test with the assistance of SPSS 25. The results showed an increase in the average score from 9.10 in the pre-test to 11.20 in the post-test. The t-test results revealed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores. It can be concluded that the circuit training method has a significant effect on improving smash skills in badminton. This method is recommended to be implemented in extracurricular training programs as it effectively enhances students’ overall performance. The findings also contribute to the development of structured physical education training strategies.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low underhand passing skills of junior high school extracurricular students due to limited training media and fear of using standard balls. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of plastic ball modification on improving the underhand passing skills of junior high school extracurricular students at SMP Negeri Satu Atap 1 Kabupaten Karawang. The research employed an experimental method with a quantitative approach and a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 27 volleyball extracurricular students. Data collection techniques were conducted through underhand passing skill tests before and after the intervention, while data analysis used descriptive statistical tests and paired difference tests. The results showed an increase in the average underhand passing ability of students after being given treatment in the form of training using modified plastic balls. These findings indicate that plastic ball modification is effective in improving underhand passing skills because it provides a sense of safety, increases the frequency of training, and encourages active student participation. The study concluded that the use of plastic balls as a modified training medium positively influenced the improvement of students' underhand passing skills in volleyball. The implication of this research is that teachers and coaches are advised to utilise plastic balls as an alternative medium for teaching and practising basic volleyball techniques in schools.

Abstract

Kebugaran jasmani memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga kualitas hidup, terutama bagi para pengurus RT dan RW yang setiap hari terlibat langsung dalam urusan masyarakat. Tugas mereka tidak hanya bersifat administratif, tetapi juga mencakup aspek sosial dan kemanusiaan yang menuntut tenaga, kesabaran, dan ketahanan fisik. Padatnya aktivitas sering membuat mereka kekurangan waktu untuk berolahraga, padahal aktivitas fisik yang teratur sangat dibutuhkan agar tubuh tetap bugar dan pikiran tetap jernih. Tanpa olahraga, kelelahan dapat menumpuk dan risiko penyakit seperti hipertensi, diabetes, atau gangguan jantung meningkat. Salah satu solusi sederhana dan efektif adalah melakukan senam ringan. Gerakannya mudah, tidak memerlukan alat, dan bisa dilakukan di mana saja, termasuk di lingkungan tempat tinggal sendiri. Melalui kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang dilaksanakan di Sekedusunan Tamelang Timur dan Tamelang Barat, Desa Margasari, sebanyak 28 pengurus RT dan RW ikut ambil bagian. Kegiatan ini mencakup sosialisasi kesehatan, demonstrasi gerakan, serta latihan bersama. Hasilnya, para peserta menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman tentang pentingnya olahraga, kemampuan melakukan gerakan dengan benar, serta motivasi untuk menjadikan senam sebagai kebiasaan rutin yang menyehatkan dan mempererat kebersamaan warga.
