Abstract

Penyandang Down Syndrome sering mengalami hambatan dalam keterampilan perawatan diri (self-care skills) yang berdampak pada rendahnya tingkat kemandirian. Kondisi ini diperparah oleh terbatasnya pemahaman orang tua mengenai strategi pendampingan yang tepat. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan pada Maret 2026 ini bertujuan memperkuat peran orang tua dalam mengembangkan self-care skills penyandang Down Syndrome di Kecamatan Lembang, Kabupaten Pinrang. Sasaran kegiatan adalah delapan keluarga yang memiliki anggota keluarga penyandang Down Syndrome. Pengabdian dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan family-centered intervention melalui metode door to door yang meliputi edukasi, konsultasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan individual. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman orang tua mengenai konsep self-care skills dari 37,5 Persen menjadi 100 persen, pemahaman strategi melatih kemandirian dari 25 persen menjadi 87,5persen, serta kemampuan menerapkan pembiasaan kemandirian di rumah dari 37,5 persen menjadi 87,5 persen. Selain itu, peserta menunjukkan perkembangan pada berbagai aspek keterampilan perawatan diri, seperti mandi, berpakaian, menjaga kebersihan diri, dan merapikan barang pribadi. Pendekatan door to door terbukti efektif karena memungkinkan pendampingan yang lebih personal sesuai kebutuhan masing-masing keluarga. Kegiatan ini memberikan manfaat nyata dalam meningkatkan kapasitas orang tua dan mendorong kemandirian penyandang Down Syndrome dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers in building Students' character at SMAN 14 Makassar. The issues addressed include the lack of internalization of character values such as honesty, responsibility, and discipline, as well as low student participation in counseling activities. The research aims to explore the roles and strategies of BK teachers in supporting students' character development. A qualitative descriptive approach is used to naturally depict phenomena through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that BK teachers play a strategic role through mentoring programs, soft skills training, and discussion groups, which positively impact students' discipline, honesty, and responsibility. However, challenges such as low student participation and limited parental support remain prevalent. This study recommends empowering collaboration with parents and the community, as well as enhancing student engagement in counseling programs.

Abstract

The urgency of instilling religious character has become increasingly critical due to the moral decline observed among Indonesia's younger generation, including disobedience to religious teachings, dishonesty, and a lack of respect for others, including teachers. Religious character is expected to provide a solution by shaping students to possess strong and virtuous morals. This study aims to describe the implementation of religious character values at SD IT Rabbani in Bone Regency. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques involved observation and interviews, validated through triangulation. The results of the study show that SD IT Rabbani successfully integrates religious values through various activities such as tahfidz Al-Qur'an, daily worship habits, and literacy programs. The tahfidz Al-Qur'an program helps students love and memorize the Qur'an using systematic and enjoyable methods. Daily worship habits foster positive habits, discipline, and spiritual calm among students.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has significantly transformed communication patterns, social interactions, and the way young people access information. On the one hand, these developments provide great opportunities to improve knowledge access and civic participation. On the other hand, the rapid flow of information also creates challenges such as the spread of hoaxes, hate speech, intolerance, and low digital ethics among students. This condition highlights the importance of strengthening digital literacy alongside national literacy so that students can become critical, responsible citizens oriented toward peaceful values. This Community Service Program was conducted at SMK Telkom Makassar with the aim of improving students’ understanding of digital literacy, national literacy, and peaceful citizenship. The implementation methods included socialization, training, participatory discussions, case simulations, and mentoring sessions. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding of wise digital media use, the importance of maintaining unity in digital spaces, and the ability to respond to differences peacefully and tolerantly. The program also encouraged students to become agents of change in creating a healthy school environment and social media culture. Therefore, this community service activity contributed positively to building democratic, inclusive, and peace-oriented digital citizenship character.

Abstract

Character-related issues in Indonesia have become a critical concern affecting the sustainability of social and national life. Therefore, this study aims to explore the educational thought of H.O.S. Tjokroaminoto on character education as a foundation for national transformation. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using a literature study method to analyze the key educational concepts proposed by Tjokroaminoto. The findings indicate that Tjokroaminoto emphasized education grounded in moral, spiritual, and nationalistic values as a means of shaping individuals with integrity, religiosity, and a strong sense of national identity. His educational thought remains highly relevant in addressing contemporary educational challenges, including moral crisis, value disorientation, and the potential for social disintegration. Through the internalization of values such as honesty, responsibility, solidarity, and exemplary conduct, character education is viewed as a fundamental strategy for cultivating a young generation that is adaptive, dignified, and capable of competing at the global level without losing its national identity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam anime Haikyuu!! sebagai media penguatan karakter generasi muda di abad ke-21. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode analisis isi terhadap adegan dan interaksi tokoh dalam anime tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Haikyuu!! merepresentasikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter, meliputi tanggung jawab, kerja keras, disiplin, menghargai prestasi, peduli sosial, dan rasa ingin tahu. Nilai-nilai tersebut ditampilkan melalui dinamika tim, perjuangan individu, serta interaksi sosial antartokoh yang menekankan proses, kerja sama, dan pengembangan diri. Representasi nilai-nilai ini relevan dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan abad ke-21 yang menuntut individu berintegritas, adaptif, kolaboratif, dan memiliki kemampuan belajar sepanjang hayat. Dengan demikian, anime Haikyuu!! berpotensi menjadi media alternatif yang efektif dalam mendukung penguatan pendidikan karakter bagi generasi muda.
