Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to explain the teacher's role in internalizing social moral values insocial studies learning in class VII A SMPN 22 Pontianak". The research methodused is descriptive method in the form of qualitative research. The data collectiontechniques used were observation, interviews and documentation studies, while thedata collection tools were observation guides, interview guides, documents andcameras. Informants in this study were social studies teachers and students of classVII A SMPN 22 Pontianak. The results of the study show that 1. The teacher's roleas educator in internalizing social moral values has been carried out by theteacher in the classroom well, this is evidenced by preparing learning designs withvaried learning methods. 2. The role of the teacher as a guide in internalizingsocial moral values has been realized such as guiding students to obey the rules atschool, advising students if they commit violations and providing encouragement toraise students' enthusiasm for learning. 3. The role of the teacher as an example ininternalizing social moral values by setting an example for students by behavingwell, and using polite and courteous language.Keywords: Teacher's Role, Internalization, Social Moral Values.

Abstract

AbstractThis study entitled “Parent’s Socialization ofGender Roles in Early ChildhoodVillage of Sungai Kunyit Laut MempawahDistrict”. The goal was to know the parent’s socialization of gender roles in earlychildhoodthrough primary socialitazion and secondarysocialization.There were two sub-problems, 1) How is the parent’s socialization of gender roles through primary socialization in early childhood at Village of Sungai Kunyit ?and 2) How is the parent’s socialization of gender roles through secondary socialization in early childhood at Village of Sungai Kunyit ?. The method of research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The source of research data was the parents and childrens who play their roles that are not appropriate for their gender. The Data collections techniques through interviews, observations, and documentations. The analysis of research was presented in qualitative descriptive and using seven informant. The results of research was divided in two; 1)There’s  imperfection of socialization on primary socialization, where’s childrens are facilitated with things that didn’t matching with their gender. 2) There’s imperfection of socialization on secondary socialization, childrens playing their roles that is opposite of their gender while their playing on their environment and lack of parental attention to their childrens in their environment, so that childrens commiting gender deviations while their playing in their environment. Keywords: Early Childhood, Gender Roles, Socialization.

Abstract

AbstractThe research aimed to find out the effect of solidarity in peer group for self-concept formation of students in SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak. It was hoped that the result can be a good information for school especially teachers to improve their students’ motivation in learning, motivate their students by a good approach, and motivate among students in learning. The research employed quantitative descriptive methodology by having 93 students and using proportional random sampling. The statistical test used in this research was a simple linear regression method. The research found that the condition of peer solidarity in students at SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak were good and 50,8% students have a good self-concept. Solidarity in a peer group have given significant influence on self-concept formation and have given positive relation by 73,6% . It can be concluded that a good solidarity in a peer group have given positive effect on self-concept formation of students at SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak. On the contrary the negative solidarity in a peer group also have given negative self-concept to students. Keywords: Peers, Self-concept, Solidarity

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research was to get information about the application of reading literacy and its inhibiting factors in sociology learning at SMAN 1 Pulau Maya. The approach used in this research was qualitative method with descriptive analysis. The techniques used to obtain data in this research were observation technique, interview, and documentation study, while the tools of collecting data wee observation guide, interview guide, documentation, and camera.. The result showed that the application of reading literacy already applied in sociology learning at SMAN 1 PulauMaya, but it had not applied maximally yet, the cause was from total 10 indicators, only 7 indicators applied, some of the unapplied indicators were students had not have reading journal, school had not involving public like parents and alumnus in literacy application, and also there was no commitment from school in emphasizing another literacy activities, no reading corner in classrooms, whereas reading corner is one of the important indicators in supporting the application of reading literacy. The inhibiting factors of reading literacy were: (a) the lackness of reading interest from students, (b) no school policy which emphasizing GLS because in need of adaptation toward 2013 curriculum, (c) the lackness of school facilities like reading corners, book references, and internet access for students. Abstract

AbstractThe title of this thesis:  The Analysis of the Implementation of Problem Based Learning Model on Sociology Subject in the Class X IIS SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Pakedai. This research aimed to figure out 1. The way of the teacher in explaining lesson objectives. 2. The way of the teacher in helping students to define and to organize tasks. 3. The way of the teacher in encouraging students to collect information. 4. The way of the teacher in helping students to plan and to prepare creations. 5. The way of the teacher in helping students to do reflection and evacuation. This research used the qualitative approach with descriptive method. The techniques of data collection in this research were observation, interview, and documentation stud. The tools of data collection were observation guide, interview guide, note books, and archives. The informants in this research were teachers, students, and the school principal. The result of this research showed that the role of the Sociology teacher in implementing the Problem Based Learning model was good enough and there was an increase in every time the learning model was applied.Keywords: Implementation, Problem Based Learning, Sociology Subject

Abstract

AbstractThe title of this research was "An Implementation Analysis of Students' Discipline Character Building by the Coach through Paskibra Activity on Class XI of SMAN 9 Pontianak". The research purpose were to find out (1) Plan of Discipline Character Building, (2) Implementation of Discipline Character Building, and (3) Result of Students' Discipline Character Building by the Coach through Paskibra Activity on Class XI of SMAN 9 Pontianak. The method in this research was qualitative descriptive. The technique in collecting the data were observation, interview and documentation, therefore the tool of data collection were observation guideline, interview guideline and documentation tool. (1) activity plan such rules, time schedule and work program (2) implementation of discipline character building was conducted through time discipline and obey the rules discipline, the good example like attend on time, and give warning to disobedient students. (3) result of the activity could be seen through evaluation such giving motivation and advice, and attending the competition. The coach built the character using two methods, they were negative discipline such punishment or strict sanction, and positive discipline such giving advice, giving procedure and giving good example and also the firm evaluation. Key words: Extracurricular Activity, Paskibra, Discipline Character Building

AbstractThe title of this study is "Full Day School Implementation and Full Day School Implicationsin the sociology learning class XI IPS at SMAN 10 Pontianak "This study aims to determine the general problems in this study, namely" How is the Implementation and Implications of Full Day School in sociology learning class XI IPS at SMAN 10 Pontianak? ". With sub-problems: 1) How is the implementation of full day school related to planning, implementation and evaluation at SMAN 10 Pontianak? 2) What are the implications of full day school for teachers, students, and schools in SMAN 10 Pontianak ?. The form of research used in this study is qualitative research with descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study, namely that the implementation of full day school has been fairly good but not yet perfect the implications of full day school have indeed had a good impact on students. Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to determine the process and impact of social changes in the Sentana village tourism area community, Tanjung Sekayam of Sanggau District. This research used the descriptive method, in the form of qualitative research. The data source of this research was the community in the tourist area of Sentana village. the data were obtained through the interview, observation, and documentation technique. The data collection tools used are the guidelines for observation and interview, and documentation tools. The analysis in this study was presented in descriptive qualitative, involving 6 informants. Based on the analysis, it was found that (1) the process of social change occurring in the community was caused by the presence of a new idea of the local community to make their village a tourist area. This idea was communicated through an open forum and received good support from the community regarding new innovations for Sentana village. (2) the process of social change has both positive and negative effects. The positive impacts that occurred are increases in the ease of community activities, social integration, community quality, social mobility, and community mindset. The shortcomings, however, are conflicts occurred between the individual retailer, as well as environmental pollution in the tourist area of Kampung Sentana. Keywords :  Sentana Village, Social Changes
