Abstract

Teachers play an important role in the development of students' potential and abilities through their responsibilities as professional educators. The success of teaching depends on the teacher's teaching skills. This study aims to describe the classroom management skills of fourth semester Biology Education A2 class FKIP Tanjungpura University academic year 2023/2024. Data were collected quantitatively through observation of 25 learning videos using a checklist table. The results showed the percentage of components of classroom management skills including responsiveness (96%), dividing attention (88%), focusing group attention (88%), giving clear instructions (100%), providing reinforcement (100%), modifying behavior (96%), group management (88%), finding and solving behavior that causes problems (4%), and reprimanding (4%). Of the nine components of classroom management skills, seven were rated excellent and two were rated deficient. Although the majority of skills were rated as excellent, there are some aspects that still need improvement. Keywords: Skills, Components, Classroom Management.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with a very high level of biodiversity. West Kalimantan is one of the provinces with the highest level of biodiversity in Indonesia. One form of biodiversity found in West Kalimantan's forests is bintangur (Calophyllum spp.). The very high diversity of bintangur species is fascinating to be utilized as a source of learning biology, especially in the material of biodiversity and their interactions and roles. This study aimed to analyze the potential of bintangur diversity in West Kalimantan as a biology learning resource on the material of biodiversity and their interactions and roles in senior high school. This research uses the qualitative method. This research consists of two stages. The first stage is a literature review to find information related to bintangur species in West Kalimantan. In contrast, the second stage is an analysis of learning resource requirements based on the results of the literature review that has been carried out. The results of the literature review stage show that there are 27 species of bintangur in West Kalimantan, as well as their classification, main characteristics, habitats, and values to the environment and other organisms. The literature review stage results are then continued to the learning resources analysis. Six requirements must be met for learning resources: clarity of the potential availability of objects and problems raised, suitability for learning objectives, clarity of targets and their designation, clarity of information disclosed, clarity of exploration guidelines, and clarity of the results to be achieved. The analysis of learning resource requirements that have been carried out shows that the diversity of bintangur species in West Kalimantan meets the requirements of learning resources so that it can be utilized as a biology learning resource on the material of biodiversity and their interactions and roles in senior high school.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to present concise information related to implementing ethnobotanical research in West Kalimantan as a biology learning resource. Methodology: This research is classified as qualitative research with the type of literature review. Each scientific article found during the search process is then analyzed, and the results are presented as tables and graphs. Main Findings: Based on the search, 63 scientific articles implement ethnobotanical research in West Kalimantan as a learning resource in biology subjects. The ethnobotanical research includes using plants as medicine, cosmetics, crafts, dyes, traditional ceremonies, boards, food, wrappers, and toys. The learning resources developed include 13 non-digital and 8 digital learning resources. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research is unique in that it presents literature studies related to the implementation of ethnobotanical research, specifically in West Kalimantan, as a biology learning resource.

Abstract

The level of diversity of Basidiomycota mushrooms is very high. The very high diversity of Basidiomycota mushrooms can also be found in West Kalimantan Province. This diversity is an interesting thing to be used as a source of biology learning. This study aims to analyze the potential diversity of Basidiomycota mushrooms in West Kalimantan as a source of learning biology, especially in the material of Fungi roles. This research is classified as qualitative research and consists of two stages. The first stage is a literature study aimed at collecting data on the diversity of Basidiomycota mushrooms in West Kalimantan, while the second stage is an analysis of learning resource requirements. The first stage was discovering 187 species of Basidiomycota mushrooms found in West Kalimantan. The result of the second stage is that the diversity of Basidiomycota mushrooms in West Kalimantan meets six learning resource requirements that must be met, namely clarity of the potential availability of objects and problems raised, suitability for learning objectives, clarity of targets and their designation, clarity of information disclosed, clarity of exploration guidelines, and clarity of the results to be achieved. Based on the research that has been done, the diversity of Basidiomycota mushrooms in West Kalimantan has potential as a biology learning resource on the Fungi roles material.
