Abstract

As one of the largest agro-industrial companies in Indonesia engaged in the animal feed industry, it certainly has good Occupational Health and Safety standards. However, throughout 2022, this industry still experienced work accidents, especially in the production process. Work accidents that occur are at mild to moderate levels. Seeing this condition, it is deemed necessary to make efforts to prevent and minimize the risk of work accidents, one of which is using Job Safety Analysis. The Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method is used to identify hazards in the production process and provide suggestions for preventive measures. Based on the results of the job safety analysis, activities in the machinery sector and machine maintenance processes have a risk of work accidents such as being hit by boiler sparks, slipping, being pinched, and others. Strict supervision is needed for operators to wear personal protective equipment before working, ensuring that operators follow work instructions and standard operating procedures in working so that the risk of work accidents can be minimized.

Abstract

Abstrak: Augmented Reality (AR) adalah teknologi yang yang dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam menghubungkan pengamatan dunia nyata mereka dengan pengetahuan yang mereka miliki. Salah satu tantangan terbesar dalam pembelajaran berbasis AR adalah pengembangan teknik yang efektif untuk membantu mahasiswa berkonsentrasi pada pengamatan penting di lapangan. Penelitian ini mengusulkan teknik permainan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas pembelajaran berbasis AR di lingkungan perkuliahan. Eksperimen dilakukan pada mata kuliah jaringan komputer untuk mengevaluasi keefektifan metode yang diusulkan relatif terhadap pendekatan pembelajaran mobile berbasis AR tradisional selama kunjungan lapangan. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa metodologi permainan berbasis AR meningkatkan sikap belajar mahasiswa dan prestasi akademik mereka selama kunjungan lapangan. Penelitian ini mengusulkan teknik permainan kompetitif untuk meningkatkan aktivitas pembelajaran berbasis AR di lingkungan dunia nyata. Sebuah eksperimen dilakukan pada mata kuliah jaringan komputer untuk mengevaluasi keampuhan metode yang diusulkan relatif terhadap pendekatan pembelajaran mobile berbasis AR tradisional selama praktik. Temuan eksperimental menunjukkan bahwa metode permainan berbasis AR meningkatkan sikap belajar mahasiswa dan prestasi akademik mereka. One of the biggest challenges in AR-based learning is the development of effective techniques to help students concentrate on important observations in the field. This research proposes a game technique to enhance AR-based learning activities in a lecture environment. Experiments were conducted on a computer networking course to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method relative to the traditional AR-based mobile learning approach during a field trip. The experimental results showed that the AR-based game methodology improved students' learning attitude and their academic performance during the field trip. This research proposes a competitive gaming technique to enhance AR-based learning activities in real-world environments. An experiment was conducted on a computer networking course to evaluate the efficacy of the proposed method relative to the traditional AR-based mobile learning approach during practices. The experimental findings show that the AR-based game method improves students' learning attitude and their academic achievement. Abstract

The use of the internet network during the Corona Virus pandemic known as COVID-19 increased rapidly because learning had to be done online, one of which was experienced at Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Medan. Some network disturbances often occur because of the large data transmission requests from the data center. This problem occurs because the network being used is still using a static routing protocol where the data path configuration must be updated manually by the operator. The solution to this problem is proposed to change the routing protocol from static routing to dynamic routing. The proposed dynamic routing protocols are open shortest path first (OSPF) and border gateway protocol (BGP). The choice of these two types of protocols is because they have better performance and can be implemented on any type of hardware. In this article, we will discuss the analysis of the implementation of the OSPF and BGP protocols with simulations carried out using packet tracer software. The results obtained from the simulation are analyzed and it is known that the OSPF protocol has better performance than the previous protocol, namely static routing and BGP protocol. Based on the criteria of throughput, packet loss, delay and jitter, it is known that the OSPF protocol has better performance on throughput, delay and jitter.Keywords : Static routing, dynamic routing, OSPF, BGP

Abstract

Penggunaan sistem pembangkit listrik tenaga surya saat ini menjadi pilihan alternatif sumber energi listrik, baik oleh lembaga pemerintah terkait maupun masyarakat di Indonesia. Namun terdapat permasalahan dimana ditemukan perbedaan perhitungan biaya untuk menginstalasi pembangkit listrik tenaga surya (PLTS) dari beberapa forum komunitas pengguna tenaga surya. Artikel ini menyajikan bahwa penyebab utama dari perbedaan perhitungan biaya tersebut adalah terdapat perbedaan potensi radiasi matahari yang dapat dikonversikan menjadi energi listrik setiap daerah di Indonesia. Alasannya karena Indonesia memiliki wilayah yang sangat luas dan terbagi ke dalam 3 zona waktu dan pastinya berpengaruh pada penyinaran matahari di setiap daerah. Pada artikel ini akan dilakukan studi literatur dan perhitungan dengan model matematis untuk mengukur potensi energi matahari yang tersebar di 34 provinsi di Indonesia. Fokus lokasi yang akan diukur adalah ibu kota dari tiap-tiap provinsi tersebut. Data potensi penyinaran matahari tersebut kemudian akan dimasukkan ke dalam formula perhitungan kapasitas modul surya yang diperlukan untuk membangun sebuah PLTS. Berdasarkan data tersebut akan di lihat apakah terdapat perbedaan kapasitas modul surya yang dibutuhkan jika ingin membangun PLTS. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan yang telah dilakukan, diketahui potensi penyinaran matahari rata-rata di Indonesia adalah 4,95 kwh/m2/hari dengan kota Kupang menjadi kota dengan potensi tertinggi yaitu 6,36 kwh/m2/hari atau 28,40% lebih tinggi dari nilai rata-rata. Sedangkan kota Banda Aceh menjadi kota dengan potensi terendah yaitu 4,12 kwh/m2/hari atau 16,82% lebih rendah dari nilai rata-rata. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan tersebut maka kota Banda Aceh memerlukan kapasitas modul surya lebih besar 22,66% dari kapasitas rata-rata pemasangan PLTS di Indonesia

Abstract

The performance of harvester employees is one of the reasons for the non-achievement of the production target of PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV's North Region of Adolina Unit, where the harvest capacity of harvester employees is still below the stipulated level. Some things that really need to be considered in looking for problems that occur in connection with this decline in performance are the Human Resources issues. the reason for the focus of discussion on Human Resources (HR) because HR is the greatest resource for a company that is very difficult to control compared to other resources. Because HR is not good will result in performance that is not optimal for the company. So it can be suspected that the decline in company performance is caused by the HR factor owned by the company which is not maximally empowered. The value of compensation in this study was calculated using linear regression to performance and it can be concluded that there is an effect of compensation on performance. The value of the compensation coefficient on performance is significant.

Abstract

Abstrak Simulasi berbasis web harus mencakup kemampuan untuk mendistribusikan dan menggabungkan model dan hasil simulasi dengan mudah, mirip dengan aksesibilitas dan kemampuan penyusunan publikasi web kontemporer. Kehadiran konten web yang dapat dieksekusi, kapasitas untuk portabel secara universal, pemanfaatan teknologi komponen, dan ketersediaan paket standar tingkat tinggi untuk akses database dan pembuatan antarmuka pengguna grafis merupakan faktor penting yang memfasilitasi implementasi simulasi berbasis web. Pemanfaatan perangkat lunak berbasis komponen memungkinkan penciptaan lingkungan simulasi yang sangat modular, memfasilitasi penggunaan ulang komponen perangkat lunak secara ekstensif. Pengaturan simulasi menghadapi tekanan yang semakin meningkat karena sifat simulasi berbasis web yang luas. Penggabungan teknologi komponen dalam lingkungan simulasi berbasis web memungkinkan perlakuan model simulasi sebagai komponen individual, yang dapat dirakit secara fleksibel untuk membangun model. Selain itu, simulasi berbasis web ini memfasilitasi hubungan dinamis antara input dan output simulasi dengan sistem basis data, sehingga menyediakan sarana yang nyaman dan mudah beradaptasi untuk menyimpan hasil simulasi. Abstract

Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coatings are well-regarded for their high hardness, low friction coefficient, and excellent wear resistance, making them suitable for enhancing surface properties in demanding industrial applications. This study aims to analyze the effect of DLC coating on HQ 805 steel, focusing on improvements in surface hardness and surface roughness. HQ 805 steel, which is known for its mechanical durability, was coated using the Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) method to achieve a uniform and adherent thin film. Hardness was evaluated using the Vickers microhardness test, while surface roughness was measured with a profilometer. Results showed a significant increase in surface hardness, with the coated samples achieving up to 798 VHN. It represented a 25–30% increase compared to the uncoated steel at 355 VHN. Surface roughness exhibited only a slight increase (5–7% Ra), indicating the thin layer and uniform deposition achieved with DLC without adversely affecting the surface finish. These results confirm that PVD-applied DLC coatings can effectively enhance the mechanical surface performance of HQ 805 steel without compromising surface quality. The optimal coating condition was found at 400°C for 4 hours. This research shows the potential application of DLC-coated HQ 805 steel in high-wear industrial environments extending component service life and improving operational efficiency.
