This study explores the integration of Islamic law (sharia) and local customs through the analysis of the Pa'bitte Passapu dance, a cultural expression of the Ammatoa community in Tanah Toa Village, Kajang District. Utilizing field research and Roland Barthes' cultural semiotic theory, this research reveals the denotative and connotative symbols within the dance movements. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were the dancers of the Pa'bitte Pasapu dance, their trainers, and local government officials. The findings indicate that the Pa'bitte Passapu Dance embodies elements of harmony between sharia and da'wah, guiding society towards harmonious living. Denotatively, the dance features physical movements and visual symbols, such as spinning movements, fighting simulations, and the use of symbolic elements like chickens, which are part of the aesthetic performance. Connotatively, the dance conveys complex messages encompassing moral, social and ideological values. The study argues that the Pa'bitte Passapu Dance serves as a medium that connects sharia and art, providing entertainment while also reinforcing cultural identity and religious values within the Ammatoa community. This research highlights the importance of preserving local cultural expressions as a relevant and adaptive platform for preaching, while at the same time addressing local communities’ needs

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manajemen kepemimpinan lembaga pendidikan Islam di MA Unggulan K.H. Abdul Wahab Hasbullah Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif, deskriptif-naratif, dan teks bacaan yang berkaitan dengan data yang dibutuhkan merupakan metode yang dimanfaatkan untuk mengumpulkan data. Triangulasi, pencocokan teori dan sumber, prosedur, dan hasil observasi semuanya digunakan dalam keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kepemimpinan di MA Unggulan K.H. Abdul Wahab Hasbullah Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang berfokus pada peningkatan kinerja dan pengembangan lembaga pendidikan melalui kegiatan seperti rapat evaluasi, workshop, dan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi karyawan. Kepemimpinan di MA Unggulan K.H. Abdul Wahab Hasbullah Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang bersifat demokratis dan persuasif, di mana keputusan diambil melalui musyawarah, tetapi ada kalanya kepala madrasah harus mengambil keputusan sepihak, juga dalam pembuat keputusan atau penentu keputusan tertinggi tetap di pegang oleh seorang kepala madrasah.

In the era of globalization and digitalization, cross-cultural interactions are increasingly occurring through virtual spaces that connect individuals from various countries without geographical boundaries. This condition demands the presence of adaptive and inclusive intercultural education, one of which is through virtual exchange or Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL). Although previous research indicates that virtual exchange can improve intercultural competence, studies examining international students' perceptions of this experience and its contribution to the development of tolerance are still limited. Based on this gap, this study aims to analyze the implementation of cross-cultural education in virtual exchange programs, understand participants' perceptions of these experiences, and examine their contribution to the development of tolerance in the cognitive, affective, and behavioral domains. This study used a qualitative method with a literature review approach, through critical analysis of indexed journal articles, COIL program reports, and global education policy publications. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques with source and theory triangulation based on the concepts of intercultural competence and experiential learning. The results show that virtual exchange has the potential to foster tolerance through cross-cultural collaborative learning. Pedagogical designs that emphasize critical reflection and collaborative tasks effectively develop cultural understanding, empathy, and cross-cultural cooperation. The novelty of this research lies in its identification of international students' perceptions as a key variable in mediating the formation of tolerance attitudes, as well as its integration of pedagogical analysis and empirical indicators of tolerance within a comprehensive theoretical framework.

This study aims to explore the concept of Islamic ecotheology that highlights the spiritual relationship between humans, nature, and God in Islamic tradition. In facing the global environmental crisis, Islamic ecotheology offers a theological perspective that can be a solution to ecological degradation through an approach based on Islamic values. This study uses a literature review method by analyzing various primary and secondary sources, including the Qur'an, Hadith, and the thoughts of Muslim scholars and intellectuals related to Islamic ecology. The results of the study show that Islamic ecotheology emphasizes the concept of tauhid (the oneness of God) as the basis for ecological awareness, amanah (responsibility) of humans as caliphs on earth, and the principles of balance (mizan) and sustainability (istishlah) in maintaining environmental sustainability. The novelty of this study is a systematic mapping of Islamic teachings related to ecology and their relevance in building environmental awareness based on Islamic spirituality, as well as offering a new paradigm in ecotheological studies that connect the normative aspects of Islam with contemporary environmental challenges.

Social changes in the digital era trigger psychological and moral problems in students, including decreased empathy, impulsivity, and weak emotional regulation. This condition requires strengthening the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum that not only emphasizes cognitive aspects, but also fosters affective character based on the values of love in the Qur'an. This study aims to formulate a love based PAI curriculum development model using an Al-Qur'anic interpretation approach as a strategy to strengthen empathy and emotional regulation in students in the digital era. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a type of library research, which examines classical and contemporary tafsir books, educational psychology literature, and PAI curriculum policy regulations. Data collection techniques include literature documentation, thematic analysis of Al-Qur'anic verses on love, compassion, empathy, and emotional control, and a comparative study of curriculum development models. Data are analyzed through reduction, categorization, and meaning drawing, and validated using theory and source triangulation to ensure the credibility of the interpretation. The research results show that the values of love in the Quran, reflected in the concepts of mercy, compassion, kindness, and compassion, can be incorporated into an effective Islamic Religious Education curriculum designed in an integrated manner, encompassing objectives, materials, learning strategies, and evaluation. Based on the study of interpretation, this approach focuses on strengthening students' empathy, emotional awareness, and emotional regulation skills. Its implementation is carried out through reflective, dialogical learning, and the provision of role models relevant to the dynamics of student development in the digital era.

Islamic Religious Education faces the challenges of increasing exclusivism, intolerance, and radicalism, often rooted in a textual and less contextual understanding of religion. This situation demands a reconstruction of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum that is not only oriented towards the transfer of normative knowledge, but also towards the internalization of the values of compassion (love), humanity, and religious moderation. This study aims to analyze and formulate the construction of a love curriculum in Islamic Religious Education through a synthesis of contextual Qur'anic interpretations and the principles of religious moderation in learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through the search and analysis of primary and secondary sources in the form of tafsir books, books, and relevant scientific journal articles. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity is maintained through source and theory triangulation techniques. The results of the study indicate that the love curriculum in Islamic Religious Education can be constructed by emphasizing the values of mercy, justice, tolerance, and respect for diversity as the foundation of learning. The integration of contextual interpretation and religious moderation can provide humanistic, inclusive, and transformative Islamic Religious Education learning, thereby contributing to the formation of moderate-minded students oriented toward social peace.
