Abstract

Limestone is a sedimentary rock formed from calcium carbonate deposits and has a high content of calcium carbonate. It is used in the cement, fertilizer, glass, and construction industries. Research was conducted in the South Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, using the geochimical methods of X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF). The aim of this study was to identify the minerals in limestone and analyze their geochemical characteristics. The research results showed the dominance of calcite minerals in the limestone of the area, with a high content of pure calcium carbonate (CaCO3). The study also observed the presence of other elements in the limestone. The analysis indicated low levels of elements such as Mg, CaF2, Ru2O, Fe2O3, Ag2O, and SrO. The XRD method was useful for mineral identification in limestone, while XRF analyzed the elemental content quantitatively. This research provides a deeper understanding of the mineral characteristics and composition of limestone in the South Buton Regency. This information is valuable for the development of the cement, fertilizer, glass, and construction industries. Additionally, the study also revealed the potential for other minerals in the limestone of the research area.

Abstract

Coal is formed from organic deposits undergoing conversion through the coalification process. Coal is a solid object containing carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen in chemical combination with a small amount of sulfur and nitrogen elements, which are found in the earth's crust derived from plant remains that have undergone metamorphosis over a long period of time. The purpose and objective of this research is to control the process of transporting coal from the stockpile to the coal haulinvessg el and to determine the quality of the coal in the stockpile and coal haulage vessel. The ash value in the stockpile is 3.98% and the coal haulage is 4.13% so that there is an insignificant increase, then the total sulfur in the stockpile is 0.11% and the coal transport vessel 0.10% is a non-significant decrease. then the total moisture in the stockpile obtained a value of 42.15% and coal hauling ships 42.25% an insignificant increase. fixed carbon in the stockpile obtained a value of 31.94% and coal ships 32.11% an insignificant increase. Then the volatile matter in the stockpile obtained a value of 43.21% and coal transport vessels 42.59% an insignificant decrease. And moisture in the stoockpile obtained a value of 20.87% and coal hauling vessels of 21.17% an insignificant increase, then the calori value obtained in the stockpile value of 4.856 and coal hauling vessels of 4.824 there was an insignificant decrease in calories. From the results of the quality of the coal above, it shows that during the process of transporting coal from the stockpile to the coal hauler, the coal quality parameters did not experience a quality drop or significant quality change, so during the coal transportation process there were no factors that affected the quality change significantly.

Abstract

Environmental changes due to mining business are generally irregular, and most tend to be a steep relief. The objective of this research is to produce the reclamation design and to determine the right type of vegetation for planting in the former nickel mining area. This study employs qualitative research method which consist of field survey data collection, precipitation data, and size of the reclamation design as well as the history of the company being analyzed. Referring to the results of this study, the design of reclamation is vital in mine planning based on the principles as stipulated in the goverment regulation of the republic of indonesia no. 78 the year 2010. In relationt to the planned closure of the post-mining land. It is necessary to design the land after the mining activities expire considering that the land would be utilized by its allocation. Making a reclamation design used the bench method, by forming terraces since the relief was quite steep. Based on the calculation of geotechnical science by the company, the results of the slope was quite optimal with a value of SF ± 1,5 in the 3D design as reference drawings for reclamation design. Plants suitable for early revegetation is sengon, it is based on the analysis performed on 2 (two) soil chemical properties located in blok X for micro nutrient parameters. The soil pH at this location was categorized as a weak acid, and the nutrient content at the research site was classified high since it possessed higher than the averagae value based on laboratory results.

Abstract

Mining Design plays an important role in extracting reserves from mineral deposits. The mine design makes it easy to meet production targets and is ideal for horizontally shaped ore bodies such as coal. The purpose of this study is to determine the design of the ramp in the mining pit, determine the ramp pit and the type of ramp used. This research method uses mine planning surpac software and data processing excel software to make a ramp design, determine the type of ramp. The results of the research that has been carried out obtained a ramp design with the type of Constant berm ramp using a stepped geometry, namely the maximum overall slope of the high wall is 60° and the low wall is 45°, the step height is 8 m, and the step width is 3 m, the road width is 10 m, with a road grade of 12%. of these results assumes that the mine is theoretically free from landslides. So that the tool can work optimally both empty and loaded on an incline. The type of road used has the highest level of safety when compared to other types of mining roads.

Abstract

Proses pembakaran dan pendinginan klinker berdampak besar terhadap rencana produksi yang ingin dicapai sehingga komposisi umpan kiln mempengaruhi kualitas dari klinker. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui proses dari pengolahan klinker dan mengetahui komposisi umpan kiln. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian secara langsung, tahap pengambilan data meliputi pengamatan, observasi dan wawancara, data penelitian meliputi data komposisi umpan kiln dan data temperatur pembakaran dalam kiln, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komposisi umpan kiln serta temperatur pembakaran merupakan parameter yang penting pada pengendalian operasi pembakaran klinker, jumlah rata-rata perhitungan LSF batugamping telah memenuhi standar, kualitas SM dan AM tidak memenuhi standar disebabkan jumlah komposisi Al2O3 yang tinggi, umpan kiln yang memenuhi standar akan menghasilkan klinker yang berkualitas ditandai dengan klinker berwarna kecoklatan, Sebaliknya klinker yang tidak berkualitas akan berwarna putih. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pengolahan klinker meliputi penggilingan bahan baku di raw mill, pembakaran bahan baku di dalam kiln, dan pendinginan bahan baku di grate cooler, serta komposisi umpan kiln yang mempengaruhi kualitas klinker adalah SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, dan CaO.

Abstract

Perencanaan tambang yang baik, diharapkan akan mengurangi risiko ketidakpastian dalam kegiatan penambangan dan target produksi yang diinginkan dapat tercapai sesuai jadwal yang direncanakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menentukan jadwal produksi berdasarkan target produksi. Data awal yang diperoleh adalah data assay, collar, geology, topography, produktivitas alat berat, dan data target produksi. Kemudian data tersebut diolah untuk mengetahui cadangan terkira, selanjutnya menghitung efektivitas jam kerja, menghitung kebutuhan alat berat dan membuat jadwal produksi. Berdasarkan penelitian cadangan terkira nikel laterit adalah 417.617,97 Ton dan volume overburden1.062.324,22 BCM, efektivitas jam kerja rata-rata per bulan adalah 628,41 jam, untuk material overburdenkebutuhan alat berat rata-rata per bulan adalah 2 ADT (Articulated Dump Truck) dan 1 excavator komatsu PC400 dan untuk ore nikel kebutuhan alat berat rata-rata per bulan adalah 5 DT (Dump Truck) dan 1 excavator komatsu PC300. Cadangan terkira nikel laterit 417.617,97 Ton dan volume overburden1.062.324,22 BCM, berdasarkan cadangan dan target produksi, jadwal produksi untuk ore nikel rata-rata per bulan adalah 46.569 Ton dan untuk overburden rata-rata per bulan adalah 123.377 BCM.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas analisis korelasi antara zona limonit dan saprolit berdasarkan data pengeboran pada area PT Gag Nikel di Provinsi Papua Barat. Endapan nikel laterit di wilayah tersebut terbentuk akibat pelapukan batuan ultrabasa di lingkungan tropis, yang menghasilkan profil laterit tebal dengan dua lapisan utama, yaitu limonit di bagian atas dan saprolit di bawahnya. Data diperoleh dari sembilan titik bor yang tersebar di area penelitian berupa data collar dan assay yang menggambarkan variasi litologi, ketebalan lapisan, serta kadar nikel pada berbagai kedalaman. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan perangkat lunak ArcGIS dan Surpac untuk pemodelan spasial dan korelasi vertikal antar titik bor. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa lapisan limonit paling tebal terdapat pada beberapa titik bor tertentu, sedangkan lapisan saprolit tersebar merata di seluruh area dengan ketebalan yang bervariasi, termasuk area dengan ketebalan saprolit yang relatif tipis. Pemahaman pola sebaran dan hubungan spasial kedua zona ini sangat penting untuk penentuan model geologi serta estimasi sumber daya nikel laterit yang akurat dan optimal bagi aktivitas eksplorasi dan pengembangan tambang di Papua Barat. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pengembangan metode analisis dan pemodelan sumber daya mineral penting yang mendukung industri logam dan energi baru terbarukan di Indonesia.
