Abstract

In the digital era, artificial intelligence (AI) plays an increasingly significant role in Islamic da'wah management. This research examines how AI can be integrated into contemporary da'wah strategies to increase the effectiveness of Islamic propagation. The main focus of the research includes Big Data analysis to understand religious trends, personalized da'wah content based on audience preferences, the development of an Islamic chatbot for more responsive interactions, and the automation of da'wah content distribution through digital media. The research method used is a literature review approach and a comparative analysis between conventional and AI-based da'wah methods. The results show that AI can increase the reach and efficiency of da'wah by providing a more interactive and relevant experience for the audience. However, AI implementation also faces challenges, such as algorithmic bias, limitations in understanding the spiritual and emotional aspects of da'wah, and the need for content validation to ensure it remains in line with Islamic principles. Furthermore, collaboration between religious scholars, academics, and technology practitioners is crucial to ensure that AI is used ethically and responsibly in da'wah. This study concludes that AI has great potential to support Islamic preaching in the digital era, but it must remain a tool that complements the role of ulama and da'i, not replace them. With wise integration and proper oversight, AI can be an innovative solution to strengthen da'wah that is more inclusive, adaptive, and relevant to current developments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the da'wah management strategy of KH. Ahmad Dahlan in integrating Islamic principles with modern approaches in revitalizing Islamic education in Indonesia. The main issue addressed is the intellectual stagnation and backwardness of the Muslim community during the colonial era, exacerbated by a colonial education system that separated religious and secular sciences. To address this challenge, KH. Ahmad Dahlan developed a modern, structured da'wah strategy encompassing planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising stages. This research adopts a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, using literature review as the primary data collection technique. The findings reveal that KH. Ahmad Dahlan successfully established a da'wah model that went beyond traditional preaching by building an integrative education system. He unified the values of iman (faith/tauhid), Islam (syari’ah), and ihsan (spirituality and social ethics) into his da'wah practices. Education was positioned as the core of da'wah, with a curriculum that included moral, personal, and social development. Through the Muhammadiyah organization, he institutionalized a sustainable, structured, and professional da'wah model. The implications of this study suggest that KH. Ahmad Dahlan's da'wah management strategy is highly relevant for contemporary Islamic propagation in the digital and globalized era, offering a systematic, contextual, and value-based framework for effective da'wah. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi manajemen dakwah KH. Ahmad Dahlan dalam mengintegrasikan prinsip-prinsip Islam dan pendekatan modern dalam revitalisasi pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah stagnasi pemikiran dan keterbelakangan umat Islam pada masa kolonial, serta dominasi sistem pendidikan kolonial yang memisahkan antara ilmu agama dan ilmu umum. Untuk menjawab tantangan ini, KH. Ahmad Dahlan menggunakan strategi dakwah berbasis manajemen modern yang mencakup tahapan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis, serta studi pustaka sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KH. Ahmad Dahlan berhasil membentuk model dakwah yang tidak hanya fokus pada ceramah keagamaan, tetapi juga pada pembentukan sistem pendidikan yang integratif. Ia memadukan nilai-nilai iman (tauhid), Islam (syari’ah), dan ihsan (spiritualitas dan etika sosial) dalam pelaksanaan dakwah. Pendidikan dijadikan sebagai media utama dakwah, dengan kurikulum yang mencakup aspek moral, individu, dan kemasyarakatan. Melalui lembaga Muhammadiyah, ia menciptakan sistem dakwah yang profesional, terstruktur, dan berkelanjutan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model manajemen dakwah KH. Ahmad Dahlan sangat relevan untuk diadopsi dalam pengembangan dakwah Islam di era digital dan globalisasi, karena mampu menjawab tantangan kontemporer dengan pendekatan yang sistematis, kontekstual, dan berbasis nilai. Abstract

Da'wah management is a continuously evolving discipline in response to changing times and the challenges of spreading Islamic teachings. This study aims to analyze the development of da'wah management thought, particularly in its theoretical and practical aspects across various sectors such as da'wah institutions, Islamic finance, digital da'wah, and the organization of Hajj and Umrah. This research employs a qualitative approach based on literature review and conceptual analysis. The findings indicate that da'wah management has transformed from traditional methods to more modern systems, adopting strategic management principles, digitalization, and synergy with Islamic economics. The implementation of good governance in da'wah institutions is essential to enhance transparency, accountability, and program effectiveness. Additionally, digital da'wah continues to expand through the utilization of social media and information technology for disseminating Islamic messages. This study recommends strengthening academic research, optimizing technology in da'wah, and integrating Islamic economics to ensure the sustainability of da'wah missions in the future.

Abstract

This study is important in understanding how these institutions respond to the ideological tension between two major currents: Islamization and secularization, both of which significantly influence policy direction and da’wah strategies. The main objective of this research is to explore the evolving thought dynamics within contemporary da’wah institutions and their impact on institutional management and social outreach. Using a library research method, the study examines classical and contemporary literature on secularization, Islamization, and institutional da’wah management. The findings reveal that Islamization-oriented institutions emphasize religious identity and the formal application of sharia, whereas institutions leaning towards functional secularization prioritize universal values, inclusive language, and context-sensitive strategies for multicultural societies. The novelty of this study lies in its comparative analysis that highlights how different ideological orientations shape organizational design, leadership models, and public communication strategies. The implications suggest that integrating Islamic values with inclusive and adaptive modern management principles is essential for policy development in contemporary da’wah institutions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran Mualaf Center Indonesia (MCI) dalam penguatan identitas keislaman dan pemberdayaan umat melalui aktivitas dakwah, pendidikan keagamaan, serta kegiatan sosial ekonomi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan menelaah data dari literatur, dokumentasi, dan hasil kajian empiris berbagai cabang MCI di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MCI memiliki kontribusi strategis dalam membentuk identitas keislaman mualaf melalui pembinaan rohani, pelatihan ibadah, dan pendampingan spiritual yang berkelanjutan. Dakwah MCI dilakukan melalui tiga pendekatan utama, yaitu personal, kultural, dan sosial. Pendekatan personal memperkuat internalisasi nilai Islam; pendekatan kultural menekankan akomodasi budaya lokal tanpa menegasikan prinsip syariat; sedangkan pendekatan sosial mengembangkan solidaritas dan partisipasi mualaf dalam kehidupan keumatan. Ketiga pendekatan ini sejalan dengan teori identitas sosial Tajfel, di mana mualaf melalui proses kategorisasi, identifikasi, dan perbandingan sosial hingga terbentuk identitas keagamaan yang kuat. Selain itu, MCI juga melaksanakan pendidikan keagamaan melalui kelas akidah, akhlak, ibadah praktis, serta pembinaan keluarga Islami untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran religius. Dalam aspek pemberdayaan, MCI mengembangkan pelatihan kewirausahaan dan keterampilan hidup serta menjalin kolaborasi dengan lembaga zakat dan pemerintah. Program ini meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi sekaligus memperkuat rasa percaya diri mualaf dalam bermasyarakat. Kesimpulannya, peran MCI menunjukkan model dakwah transformatif yang mengintegrasikan dimensi spiritual, pendidikan, dan sosial ekonomi guna mewujudkan kemandirian dan keteguhan identitas keislaman umat. Kata kunci: Mualaf Center Indonesia, identitas keislaman, dakwah, pendidikan keagamaan, pemberdayaan umat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji dakwah sebagai upaya menyampaikan ajaran Islam dengan memanfaatkan media modern, salah satunya film. Di era digital, da'i dituntut kreatif dalam memilih media agar pesan dakwah dapat diterima dengan baik oleh mad'u. Film Merindu Cahaya De Amstel dipilih sebagai objek penelitian karena mengandung pesan-pesan keagamaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan film tersebut dan menganalisis pesan dakwah terkait akidah, syariah, dan akhlak. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan isi analisis berdasarkan teori semiotika Ferdinand De Saussure. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film ini menyampaikan pesan dakwah meliputi keyakinan, perintah, larangan, ibadah sosial, adab, dan budi pekerti yang baik. Melalui film ini, dakwah dapat dilakukan secara inovatif, menjadikan media sebagai sarana untuk memperluas penyebaran nilai-nilai Islam secara inspiratif, Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pemanfaatan media kreatif dalam menyampaikan pesan dakwah, agar mampu menjangkau generasi muda dan masyarakat umum secara lebih inklusif dan menarik. Abstract This research examines da'wah as an effort to convey Islamic teachings by utilizing modern media, one of which is film. In the digital era, da'is are required to be creative in selecting media so that the da'wah message can be well received by the audience (mad'u). The film Merindu Cahaya De Amstel was chosen as the object of study because it contains religious messages. This research aims to describe the film and analyze the da'wah messages related to faith, sharia, and morals. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method with content analysis based on Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic theory. The findings reveal that the film conveys da'wah messages including beliefs, commandments, prohibitions, social worship, manners, and good character. Through this film, da'wah can be conducted innovatively, making media a means to expand the dissemination of Islamic values in an inspiring manner. This research emphasizes the importance of utilizing creative media in delivering da'wah messages to reach the younger generation and the general public in a more inclusive and engaging way.

Abstract

Urban Generation Z in Palembang faces increasingly fluid and flexible religious identity dynamics in response to the pressures of city life, intense digital exposure, and the demand for more freedom of self-expression. In this context, Islamic communities emerge as social spaces that not only provide religious activities but also serve important psychological functions for the development of this generation. This study aims to describe how Islamic communities contribute to shaping religious identity, providing emotional support, and strengthening the psychological well-being of urban Generation Z in Palembang. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations in several active Islamic communities with significant engagement with young people in Palembang. The results show that Islamic communities serve as platforms for Generation Z to find meaning in life, reinforce spiritual values, reduce psychological stress caused by urban pressures, and build emotionally safe social networks. Moreover, these communities help them cope with tendencies such as FOMO, confusion about life direction, and emotional instability that often arise in fast-paced digital life. Islamic communities also provide spaces for self-actualization through creative activities, preaching, mentoring, and peer support. This study concludes that Islamic communities play a significant role as supportive ecosystems for the psychological health and religious identity development of urban Generation Z, and they are relevant to be developed as models for religious guidance in increasingly complex digital and urban contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of da’wah methods through the integration of Virtual Reality (VR) journeys in enhancing religious understanding and spiritual experiences of the mad’u. The research addresses a gap in previous studies that mostly focus on conventional digital media such as social media and websites, without specifically exploring immersive technologies like VR. Employing a qualitative approach, this study is based on a synthesis of recent literature and in-depth interviews with digital da’wah practitioners, Islamic VR content creators, and users of religious-themed VR content. The findings reveal that VR holds a distinctive potential in delivering immersive, affective, and reflective religious experiences. Simulations of sacred spaces (e.g., Masjid al-Haram), Islamic historical events, and interactive narratives effectively evoke empathy, deepen the comprehension of Islamic values, and strengthen spiritual consciousness. Compared to conventional methods, VR offers a heightened sense of presence and emotional impact. This study contributes a novel perspective to the digital da’wah discourse by proposing VR journey integration as a transformative method aligned with the visual, interactive, and experiential nature of the digital generation.
