Abstract

Kesehatan merupakan keinginan setiap orang. Kebiasaan mengkonsumsi makanan bergizi dapat meningkatkan kesehatan manusia. Makanan bergizi dapat diproduksi dari bahan di pekarangan rumah. Kelimpahan kelor di Nasipanaf menjadi alasan diadakannya kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil diskusi, masyarakat hanya memasak daun kelor dengan metode perebusan. Melalui kegiatan sosialisasi, pemateri menyampaikan berbagai manfaat daun kelor pada berbagai bidang baik kesehatan, pertanian dan kuliner. Hal ini untuk menyadarkan masyarakat akan manfaat yang dimiliki oleh daun kelor. Pengolahan daun kelor menjadi produk olahan bernilai gizi tinggi perlu dilakukan untuk menambah pemahaman masyarakat terhadap variasi kuliner. Pada kegiatan ini, daun kelor akan diolah menjadi puding, kembang goyang dan mie. Daun kelor yang telah diambil dibersihkan dan dihaluskan. Setelah menjadi serbuk, kemudian diolah menjadi puding, kembang goyang dan mie. Setelah kegiatan ini selesai dilaksanakan, masyarakat merasa senang karena mendapat tambahan pengetahuan tentang pengolahan daun kelor menjadi produk pangan. Pemateri merekomendasikan masyarakat agar bisa memperoleh referensi yang bervariasi tentang pengolahan bahan makanan bernilai gizi tinggi dengan memanfaatkan teknologi.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas hidup manusia ditentukan oleh kualitas pendidikan. Semakin baik kualitas pendidikan maka SDM akan semakin kompeten. Adanya covid 19 menyebabkan perubahan pola pembelajaran, karena kegiatan pembelajaran dilakukan di rumah masing-masing siswa. Kondisi ini menyebabkan banyak anak SDI Bonen tidak bisa membaca dan berhitung karena minimnya interaksi dengan guru secara langsung. Situasi ini membuat Tim PKM Unwira untuk berkontribusi bagi pendidikan khususnya di SDI Bonen. Metode yang ditawarkan adalah dengan mengadakan kegiatan penguatan literasi dan numerasi. Kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan berupa pendampingan membaca, menulis dan berhitung menggunakan bahan ajar yang diberikan oleh tim PKM dan link youtube yang memuat materi penguatan literasi dan metode berhitung jarimatika. Kegiatan pendampingan dilakukan di sekolah dan di rumah-rumah siswa yang telah dibagi dalam kelompok-kelompok kecil. Setelah dilakukan pendampingan selama kurang lebih satu bulan, maka selanjutnya dilakukan perlombaan membaca bagi siswa siswi kelas 2 dan 3 di SDI Bonen. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa banyak siswa sudah memiliki perubahan yang positif, mereka yang awal belum bisa membaca sudah mampu membaca dengan baik. Hasil wawancara dengan guru dan orang tua diperoleh bahwa para siswa sudah menunjukkan perubahan sikap dan minat belajar menjadi lebih tinggi dibanding kondisi sebelum kegiatan penguatan literasi

Abstract

Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) merupakan rangkaian kegiatan yang direncanakan guru sebagai pedoman dalam pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Permasalahan yang ditemukan adalah guru belum mampu menyusun tujuan pembelajaran mengikuti format Audience, Behavior, Condition, dan Degree (ABCD), guru belum mampu menyusun langkah-langkah pembelajaran sesuai dengan model pembelajaran yang digunakan dan guru belum mampu menyusun penilaian pembelajaran yang mencakup ranah kognitif afektif dan psikomotorik. Solusi yang ditawarkan untuk permasalahan yang dialami mitra adalah melakukan kegitan pelatihan penyusunan RPP ringkas bermakna bagi guru-guru IPA SMP di Kecamatan Taebenu.  Tujuan dari kegiatan PkM ini adalah guru dapat menyusun RPP dengan baik dan benar. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi.  Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah 87,9 % guru-guru IPA telah dapat menyusun RPP ringkas bermakna dengan baik dan benar

Abstract

Abstract: The cause of the low student learning outcomes is the learning process in the classroom which is still teacher-centered. The learning model that can increase student activity in class is the Beach Ball strategy class discussion model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Beach Ball strategy class discussion model on science learning outcomes for Grade VIII students on the subject of the human digestive system at SMPN 2 Kupang Tengah. The design used in this research is nonequivalent control group design. The results showed that the average student learning outcomes in the experimental class obtained a pretest score of 41.86 which increased to 80.31 after being given a posttest. Whereas in the control class the pretest score was 45.47 which increased to 74.11 after being given the posttest. Based on the results of the one-way Anacova test, a probability value (sig) of 0.000 is lower than the set value of 0.05. This shows that Ha (Beach Ball strategy class discussion model is effective on student learning outcomes) is accepted and H0 the Beach Ball strategy class discussion model is not effective on student learning outcomes) is rejected. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the Beach Ball strategy class discussion model is effective on the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMPN 2 Kupang Tengah.Keywords:  Effectiveness, Class Discussion, Beach Ball, Learning Outcomes, Food DigestionAbstrak: Penyebab rendahnya hasil belajar siswa adalah proses pembelajaran di kelas yang masih berpusat pada guru. Model pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan keaktifan siswa di kelas adalah model diskusi kelas strategi Beach Ball. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas model diskusi kelas strategi Beach Ball terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII pada materi sistem pencernaan makanan pada manusia di SMPN 2 Kupang Tengah.  Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode Eksperimen Semu. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah nonequivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai pretest sebesar 41,86 meningkat menjadi 80,31 setelah diberikan posttest. Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol nilai pretest adalah 45,47 meningkat menjadi 74,11 setelah diberikan posttest. Berdasarkan hasil uji anacova satu jalur diperoleh nilai probabilitas (sig) sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil dari nilai yang ditetapkan sebesar 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Ha (model diskusi kelas strategi Beach Ball efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa) diterima dan H0 model diskusi kelas strategi Beach Ball tidak efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa)ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa model diskusi kelas strategi Beach Ball efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII di SMPN 2 Kupang Tengah. Kata Kunci: Efektif, Diskusi Kelas, Beach Ball, Hasil Belajar, Pencernaan Makanan

Abstract

The purpose of this PkM activity is to assist science teachers in developing learning tools that are oriented towards class discussion learning models by learning think pair share, buzz group, and beach ball strategies that are adapted to natural science material, namely Vitamin Testing, and Photosynthesis Experiments, which will demonstrated to students accompanied by a science teacher, and shared knowledge and experience with science teachers in preparing science learning tools with learning models and strategies adapted to the characteristics of science material. This activity was carried out at SMPN 2 Oelpuah Kupang Tengah with stages such as meetings with partners, preparation of materials, questionnaires, as well as tools and materials used for PkM activities, presentation of materials, practice of making learning tools, testing of learning tools, practicum, evaluation and reporting.The results obtained from this PkM activity were that science teachers gained new knowledge about how to prepare learning tools with various models and strategies and the participants were very enthusiastic in participating in this activity as evidenced from the analysis of the questionnaire 100% of the participants were tipped in training and practicum activities.

Abstract

ABSTRAKStrategi peningkatan kompetensi guru yang berdampak pada peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran, dapat dilakukan melalui berbagai cara, salah satunya adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Guru-guru SMPN 1 Amanatun Selatan telah menyadari pentingnya melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas tetapi banyak yang belum melakukannya di kelas mereka masing-masing dengan berbagai alasan sehingga diperlukan suatu kegiatan untuk mendorong dan memotivasi guru- guru SMPN 1 Amanatun Selatan untuk menulis proposal, melakukan penelitian, menyusun instrumen, menganalisis data, menyusun laporan dan artikel penelitian tindakan kelas untuk dipublikasikan pada jurnal ilmiah. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah agar guru-guru SMPN 1 Amanatun Selatan dapat menyusun proposal, melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas, menyusun laporan dan membuat artikel untuk dipublikasikan pada jurnal ilmiah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan di SMPN 1 Amanatun pada bulan Agustus 2023 dengan melibatkan 30 orang guru SMPN 1 Amanatun Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah metode ceramah, diskusi, pelatihan dan pendampingan serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman guru dalam menyusun proposal, melaksanakan dan membuat laporan penelitian tindakan kelas, dan mempublikasikannya pada jurnal ilmiah. Kata kunci: pelatihan; penelitian tindakan kelas  ABSTRACTVarious methods can be employed to enhance teacher competence, resulting in an improved standard of education. One such approach is conducting class action research. Teachers at SMPN 1 Amanatun Selatan recognise the significance of carrying out classroom action research. However, several teachers have not yet implemented it in their respective classes due to multiple reasons. Therefore, an initiative must be taken to inspire and stimulate teachers of SMPN 1 Amanatun Selatan to compose proposals, conduct research, prepare instruments, analyse data, create reports, and classroom action research papers to be published in scientific journals. The objective of this service activity is to enable teachers at SMPN 1 Amanatun Selatan to devise proposals, undertake classroom action research, produce reports, and generate articles that can be published in scholarly journals. This programme was conducted at SMPN 1 Amanatun in August 2023, and it involved 30 teachers from SMPN 1 Amanatun Selatan. The methodologies employed to implement this undertaking comprised lectures, discussions, training, mentorship, as well as monitoring and evaluation. This activity can enhance teachers' comprehension of developing proposals, performing and documenting classroom action research and publishing it in scholarly journals. Keywords: training; classroom action research

Abstract

Research on gastropods on Kolbano beach, South Central Timor Regency has never been published. The aim of this research was to determine the types of gastropods in the Intertidal Zone of Kolbano Beach, South Central Timor Regency. The samples used in the research were all gastropods located in plots located in the intertidal zone of Kolbano Beach. This research uses a qualitative approach, collecting research data using identification and documentation tables. Data analysis is completed using the Shanon Wienner Diversity Index formula. The results of the research showed that the gastropods successfully identified on Kolbano beach consisted of the species C.maldivus, B). C.flvidus, C). C.clerii, D). V. turbinllus, E). O. floralia, F). F. palidus, G). A.punctulata, H). Murex Blainvilli, I). Crassispira harpularia, J). T. reticulata, K). Plesiotrochus monachus, L). Persicula variabilis, M). C.scabridum, N). Vaceuelus favosus, O). Polinices tumidus, P). C.olidium, Q). M. moneta, R). Trochus maculates. S). Carolliophila solutistoma, T). M. myosotis. The results of the calculation of the diversity index, uniformity index and dominance index reached 2.195, so it can be concluded that the gastropods on Kolbano Beach consist of 16 families, 18 genera and 20 species and are at a medium level of diversity.

Abstract

The use of the discovery learning model at SMA Negeri 1 Amfoang Utara has been implemented by biology subject teachers, but student learning outcomes are still brought to KKM standards, this is caused by the lack of enthusiasm of students in learning so that it influences student learning outcomes. Therefore, to improve student learning outcomes, teachers act as guides by providing opportunities for students to learn actively and directing student learning activities in accordance with learning objectives, using the discovery learning model. discovery learning model, able to increase student activity in the classroom. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the discovery learning model on the learning outcomes of class XI MIA students at SMA Negeri 1 AMFOANG NORTHWEST KUPANG DISTRICT for the 2022/2023 academic year. The type of research used is quantitative research with quasi-experimental methods. The population in this study were all students in class XI MIA at SMA Negeri 1 AMFOANG NORTHWEST KUPANG DISTRICT, with the research sample consisting of classes XI MIA1 and XI MIA2. The data analysis technique in this research uses descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The research results showed that the average learning outcomes of students in the experimental class obtained a pretest score of 44.45, increasing to 84.09 after being given the posttest. Meanwhile, in the control class, the pretest score was 45.00, increasing to 77.88 after being given the posttest. The number of students who completed in the experimental class was 87.87% and those who did not complete was 12.12%. In the control class the number of students who completed was 66.66% and those who did not complete was 33.33%. Based on the results of the one-way anacova test, a probability value (sig) of 0.004 was obtained, which was smaller than the set value, namely 0.05. This shows that Ha (the discovery learning model has an effect on student learning outcomes) is accepted and H0 (the discovery learning model has no effect on student learning outcomes) is rejected. Abstract

Diversity of Echinodermata Types in the Oesina Beach Littoral Zone, West Kupang District, Kupang Regency. This research aims to determine the types of Echinoderms in the Oesina Beach Littoral Zone, West Kupang District, Kupang Regency. This research was carried out at Oesina beach, Lifuleo village, West Kupang District, Kupang Regency on 5-10 May 2023 This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach using an exploration method, namely conducting direct observations of echinoderms on Oesina beach, Lifeleo Village, West Kupang District, Kupang District. The research results found that from 4 transects in 15 plots, various types of Echinodermata were found, namely 7 species consisting of 6 families, 6 classes, 4 orders, 6 genera and 2 sub-phyla with a total of 120 individuals. The phylum Echinodermata is the class of sea stars (Asteroidea), brittle stars (Ophiuroidea), sea cucumbers (Holothuroidea) and sea urchins (Echinoidea). Species found at the observation location include Archaster typicus, Ophiarachna affinis, Protoreaster nodulosus, Echinometra oblonga, Echinometra mathae, Holothuria leucospilota, Tripneustes gratilla. The results of calculating the diversity index (H) of echinoderms on Oesina beach, Lifeleo Village, West Kupang District, Kupaten District, are in the high category The conclusion is that the level of diversity of echinoderms in the Oesina Coastal Littoral Zone, West Kupang District, Kupang Regency is 1.83135 which shows high diversity.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills, especially in science subjects, are insufficient because teachers only provide direct knowledge to students without giving students the opportunity to actively participate in learning. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the Discovery Learning model towards the critical thinking skills of grade VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Kupang Tengah. This type of quantitative research uses a quasi experimental method. The research results show that the score of critical thinking skills of the students in experimental classes with an average posttest score of 80.46 higher than the pretest which is 50.04. Meanwhile, in the control class, the average pretest score was 45.21 and the average posttest score was 67.14. The results of the anacova test using the one-way anacova statistical analysis technique (one way-anacova) with the help of SPSS Version 23 obtained a probability value (sig) of 0.000 <from the set significant value of 0.05. Thus the null hypothesis (H 0 ) which states that there is no influence of the Discovery Learning model on students' critical thinking skills is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) which states that there is an influence of the Discovery Learning model on students' critical thinking skills is accepted. The conclusion of this research is that the Discovery Learning model influences the critical thinking skills of grade VII students at UPTD SMP Negeri 2 Kupang.
