Abstract

  Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X SMA pada materi Limit Fungsi Aljabar. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian deskriptif, dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak, dengan sampel penelitian yaitu kelas X MIA 1 yang dipilih berdasarkan random. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan berupa tes dan wawancara mendalam. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh hasil penelitian, yaitu persentase rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis dari 37 orang siswa sebesar 55,53% dan masuk dalam kriteria rendah. Persentase rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis tertinggi terdapat pada kriteria sedang yang berjumlah 10 siswa, dengan nilai persentase rata-rata sebesar 68,72%.   Kata Kunci: keterampilan berpikir kritis, deskripsi, analisis, evaluasi.   Abstract: This research aims to determine the critical thinking skills of grade X in senior high school student’s on the Algebra Function Limit matter. The method used is descriptive research method, with the research form is case study research. The research of subject is grade X in SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak, with the sample of research is grade X in MIA 1, that have choosed randomly. Data collection tool used is a test and interview. Based on the analysis of data, obtained results of the research are the average percentage of critical thinking skills of 37 students is 55.53% and entered the low criteria. The average percentage highest of critical thinking skills are the medium criteria amounting to 10 students, with an average percentage is 68.72%.   Keywords: critical thinking skills, description, analysis, evaluation.

Abstract

AbstractCulture is developing way of life, and owned by a group of people who inherit it from a previous generation. Creative entity is a form of arts created through an artefact. The combination of artefact and math/ethnomatematic provides a new innovative knowledge for students. Subjects of the research were VIII grade students of SMPN I Toba who were selected randomly. Instrument utilised in the research were module, test and interview. Module is a teaching material containing ethnomatematical exploration. The module was complied by considering the material, writing, style, number of words, formating and module appearance. The findings in general showed that stdents had an improved math external representation ability. There was an increase of number of students who do real script aspect, satitic picture, written symbols, and spoken language as well. However, students, mastery of manipulative models remained constant. Math internal representation ability did not increase either, it remained good. These were concluded from the coding stages although there was no student who  fulfilled the indicator to the saving and information recalling stages.Keywords: ethnomatematic, internal representation, external representation, pythagoras theorem.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara kepulauan yang dikenal memiliki kekayaan berbagai jenis terumbu karang yang merupakan rumah bagi keanekaragaman hayati ikan di dunia. Pulau Lemukutan memiliki potensi sumberdaya kelautan diantaranya terumbu karang, lamun dan makroalga yang mendiami habitat dasar perairan. Tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) menjumpai masih minimnya pemahaman tentang pentingnya ekosistem terumbu karang serta masih terbatasnya pengetahuan masyarakat Pulau Lemukutan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi aplikasi avenza dalam pemantauan ekosistem terumbu karang, namun kelompok pokmaswas dan pelaku usaha di bidang kelautan serta wisata bahari mahir dalam menggunakan smart phone. Upaya mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, maka sosialisasi pentingnya ekosistem terumbu karang dan pengenalan aplikasi avenza dalam pemantauan ekosistem terumbu karang penting dilakukan. Kegiatan ini, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepedulian masyarakat tentang pentingnya ekosistem terumbu karang dan memberdayakan masyarakat lokal dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam monitoring dan pelestarian terumbu karang mengunakan aplikasi avenza maps. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan Kelompok masyarakat Pulau Lemukutan telah memahami manfaat ekosistem terumbu karang namun masih belum memahami pengunaan aplikasi avenza untuk pemantauan ekosistem terumbu karang.

Abstract

Ekosistem mangrove terletak di daerah pesisir yang memiliki nilai bagi yang memanfaatkan jasajasa lingkungan salah satu yang memanfaatkan hutan mangrove tersebut ialah manusia. Neayan Desa Mas Bangun memanfaat Kawasan mangrove sebagai mata pencarian. Tujuan dari penelitian tersebut ialah pemanfaatan ekosistem mangrove, strategi pengelolaan mangrove secara berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan ialah wawancara ke nelayan yang memangfaatkan Kawasan mangrove dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis SWOT untuk pemanfaatan yang berkelanjutan. Hasil yang didapat dari analisis SWOT rangking 1 yang harus dilakukan untuk pengelolaan yang berkelanjutan ialah strategi SO Desa Mas Bangun memiliki luas lahan mangrove yang besar. Ketersedian biota-biota yang bernilai ekonomis sangat mendukung perekonomian nelayan Desa Mas Bangun, 2 Strategi WO Kurangnya sosialisasi ke nelayan Desa Mas Bangun tentang pemanfaatan ekosistem mangrove, 3 strategi ST Penetapan daerah penangkapan biota yang bernilai ekonomis di ekosistem mangrove agar pembuangan limbah tidak masuk ke kawasan penangkapan, 4 strategi WT Meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat melalui pembinaan dan penyuluhan kepada seluruh lapisan akan arti pentingnya ekosistem mangrove untuk keberadaan biota serta menjaga kelestariannya.

Abstract

This study analyzes the tidal patterns in the Kapuas River, Pontianak, using the Admiralty Method to determine the type and characteristics of tides and their implications for flood management and navigation along the river channel. Based on harmonic analysis, the tides in the Kapuas River are classified as mixed, with a dominant semidiurnal component, resulting in two high and two low tides per day with varying heights. This tidal type potentially increases flood risk, particularly when peak tides coincide with high upstream discharge. This condition heightens the risk of river overflow, necessitating mitigation measures such as tidal monitoring and effective drainage planning. Additionally, tidal fluctuations impact the depth of the river channel, critical for navigation activities. At high tide, water depth increases, facilitating large vessel navigation, while at low tide, some channels may become shallow, hindering navigation. This study’s findings highlight the importance of integrating tidal predictions in coastal area management and river channel regulation in Pontianak to reduce flood risk and support safe navigation.

Abstract

Many high school students perceive chemistry as a difficult subject and find it less relevant to daily life. To increase students' interest in chemistry studies, a Student Creativity Program (PKM) was conducted through the creation of herbal soap made from pineapple peel waste. Pineapple peel (Ananas comosus) was chosen because it contains bioactive compounds such as bromelain, flavonoids, tannins, and vitamin C, which have antibacterial and antioxidant properties. Through a project-based practical method, students from MAN 2 Pontianak were directly involved in the herbal soap-making process. The results of the activity showed an improvement in students' understanding of chemistry concepts and an increased interest in chemistry studies. Additionally, this activity supports environmental sustainability by utilizing organic waste. The implementation of practical learning methods has proven effective in enhancing critical thinking skills and fostering students' creativity in producing environmentally friendly products.
