Abstract

Because student data can be used to examine student academic accomplishment, or student achievement index data, student data is a very valuable database. Data on student performance is available at Muhammadiyah University of Bangka Belitung's Faculty of Engineering and Science, which houses study programs in computer science, civil engineering, and natural resource conservation. The data are analyzed using them. The C4.5 Algorithm is used in conjunction with a classification data mining technique on student data to forecast academic progress. A decision tree is constructed using algorithm C4.5. Decision trees are helpful for investigating data and uncovering undiscovered connections between numerous input factors and one goal variable. Performance outcomes are derived from the analysis results by categorizing student data. This serves as a resource for lecturers and students to enhance classroom learning and discipline among students.

Abstract

Pedagogical and content-related issues are the main challenges in implementing Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) learning. Moreover, teachers have not fully understood the concept of the STEAM approach. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance their skills in designing and implementing project-based learning, as well as ensuring that learning content is connected to real-life contexts and integrated across disciplines. This community service program aims to develop STEAM learning innovations through project-based and experiential learning models using kirigami, tessellation, and simple robotics. The method is designed based on a partnership concept, grounded in pedagogical co-designing activities, consisting of four stages: pre-activity, socialization, training, and evaluation. The results indicate an improvement in teachers’ understanding of the STEAM approach. Additionally, teachers successfully enhanced their skills in designing STEAM learning using kirigami, tessellation, and simple robotics.

Abstract

The Recommendation System can produce system requirements data that is more descriptive and easy to implement into software. Recommendation methods are combined to form more comprehensive recommendations based on fermat points. The education sector has never been indifferent to new technologies, and eventually switched to using the Internet. Prior to conducting this research, a review was carried out on various previous research results related to the lack of the role of knowledge space and user preferences in the data visualization recommendation system [3]. Broadly speaking, this study uses the method of recommending the Analysis and Discussion system. One of the main elements that must be considered in the system analysis stage is software problems, because the software used must be in accordance with the problem to be solved. In this stage, the search and collection of data and knowledge obtained by the expert system are carried out. A machine learning-based recommendation system for undergraduate study programs can help prospective new students choose the right study program according to their interests and talents. The classification model used can produce fairly high accuracy in recommending undergraduate study programs to prospective new students.

Abstract

Pengembangkan aplikasi absensi pengenalan wajah bagi mahasiswa magang di PLN Icon Plus Bangka Belitung dengan menggunakan teknologi computer vision dan algoritma deep learning diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi waktu proses absensi dengan mengurangi ketergantungan pada metode absensi manual yang memakan waktu dan rawan kesalahan. Pengembangan aplikasi ini menggunakan teknik computer vision untuk mendeteksi dan mengenali wajah siswa, sedangkan algoritma deep learning digunakan untuk meningkatkan akurasi dan kecepatan pengenalan wajah. Algoritma deep learning, khususnya Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), diterapkan untuk melatih model pengenalan wajah dengan dataset gambar wajah mahasiswa. Sistem ini dilengkapi dengan fitur manajemen data yang memungkinkan administrator untuk memantau dan mengelola data absensi secara real-time. Tujuan penggunaan sistem absensi pengenalan wajah adalah untuk mempercepat registrasi kehadiran serta meningkatkan keakuratan dan keamanan informasi kehadiran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan model prototype untuk mengembangkan dan menguji aplikasi. Reaksi sistem selama kinerja pengenalan wajah dan registrasi kehadiran diukur untuk mengevaluasi seberapa besar aplikasi dapat meningkatkan efisiensi waktu kehadiran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan dikembangkannya aplikasi pengenalan wajah, proses absensi dapat dipercepat secara signifikan dan akurasi pencatatan kehadiran siswa pada saat praktik dapat ditingkatkan. Pengujian dilakukan pada berbagai kondisi pencahayaan dan sudut pandang untuk memastikan pengaplikasian optimal. Oleh karena itu, diharapkan aplikasi ini dapat menjadi solusi yang efektif dan efisien dalam menangani mahasiswa magang PLN Icon Plus Bangka Belitung.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengelompokkan pola opini publik mengenai peluang kerja Gen Z di luar negeri, dengan menganalisis komentar pada video unggahan channel YouTube BeritaSatu. Gen Z, yang lahir antara tahun 1997 hingga 2012, dikenal sebagai generasi digital yang memiliki aspirasi global tinggi. Di Indonesia, meningkatnya minat generasi ini untuk bekerja di luar negeri dipicu oleh terbatasnya lapangan kerja domestik, daya tarik penghasilan yang lebih tinggi, serta keinginan memperoleh pengalaman internasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif eksploratif berbasis text mining dan algoritma K-Means Clustering untuk mengelompokkan komentar. Tahapan analisis mencakup preprocessing teks, ekstraksi fitur dengan TF-IDF, penentuan jumlah cluster menggunakan Elbow Method dan Silhouette Score, serta visualisasi hasil menggunakan PCA (Principal Component Analysis). Hasil analisis menunjukkan empat kelompok utama komentar: (1) dukungan terhadap kerja di luar negeri, (2) kritik terhadap kondisi ketenagakerjaan dalam negeri, (3) komentar informatif dan netral, dan (4) komentar sarkastik dan humoris. Setiap cluster memperlihatkan kata-kata dominan yang mencerminkan karakteristik tematiknya. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa media sosial dapat menjadi sumber data yang bernilai dalam memahami persepsi publik secara digital. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi pembuat kebijakan di bidang ketenagakerjaan dan pendidikan, serta menjadi dasar pengembangan strategi untuk meningkatkan kesiapan tenaga kerja muda Indonesia dalam menghadapi kompetisi kerja global

Abstract

Despite the widespread research on the use of technology and multimodal digital storytelling to boost the students ‘learning, there are only fewer studies conducted in junior school circumstances. To fill this gap, this study aims to develop e-book based on multimodal digital storytelling and local wisdom to enhance the seventh-grade students’ English skills. The framework of technological, pedagogical, content and technological knowledge (TPACK) adopted as the theoretical background in this study. Research and development (R&D) method through ADDIE model was employed to construct e-book based on the seventh-grade students’ needs in learning language in which consist of five stages namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The findings showed that e-book based on multimodal digital storytelling approach able to create interactive activities to improve the students’ competencies in generating ideas, igniting creativity, and developing multimodal literacy. The findings also reveal that multimodal digital storytelling approach adopted are applicable to junior school students to improve their motivation in learning language.
