Abstract

Eschatological studies in Juz 'Amma, particularly reflections on Surah Al-Qari'ah, have profound relevance to the formation of Muslim character in the current digital era. This research aims to explore the eschatological messages contained in Surah Al-Qari'ah using the tarbawi hadith approach, in order to identify Islamic educational values that can shape the character of Muslims with noble morals amidst the rapid development of technology. The method used in this research is a literature study with a qualitative-descriptive approach. Data were obtained from primary sources, namely the Qur'an and Hadith, as well as secondary literature related to Islamic education and Muslim character. The research results show that the eschatological message in Surah Al-Qari'ah contains strong moral values, such as awareness of the afterlife, moral responsibility, and balance between this world and the hereafter. These values can be internalized in the character formation of Muslims in the digital era through the approach of tarbawi hadith, which emphasizes education based on morality and spirituality. By understanding the eschatological message in Surah Al-Qari'ah, Muslims in the digital era can be wiser in utilizing technology and maintaining moral integrity in their daily lives.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in Indonesia face both challenges and opportunities in adapting to the rapid digital transformation in education. The integration of digital technology in Islamic education raises concerns regarding its alignment with Islamic values, disparities in digital literacy, resistance to change, and limited technological infrastructure. Previous studies have highlighted these challenges but have not comprehensively explored effective strategies for managing digital adaptation while preserving the integrity of Islamic teachings. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing interviews, observations, and document analysis involving PAI teachers from various Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. The findings indicate that successful adaptation to digital transformation requires structured management strategies, including continuous professional development, contextual integration of Islamic values into digital learning, collaborative learning networks, and the development of well-curated digital content. Furthermore, this research proposes a digital-based Islamic education model that emphasizes institutional support, structured technology training for teachers, and the development of Islamic digital learning platforms. The study concludes that the success of digital transformation in Islamic education depends on the collaboration between teachers, educational institutions, and policymakers to ensure that digital learning remains effective and aligned with Islamic educational principles.

Two groups of students were tested with the TGT model, and two others were tested with the Genius Learning model. The instruments used included comprehension tests, observations, and questionnaires about learning motivation. Data were analyzed using statistical tests. The research results show that both learning models improve students' understanding of Islam. The TGT model is more effective in enhancing cognitive and collaborative aspects, while Genius Learning is better at creating enjoyable learning experiences and improving the retention of PAI material. The statistical test results showed a significant difference between the two models (p < 0.05). Integrating technology in both models makes learning more relevant to the student's environment. In conclusion, both learning models can enhance students' understanding of Islam in the digital era. The TGT model excels in cognitive and collaborative aspects, while Genius Learning is more effective in enhancing material retention. Combining collaborative approaches and enjoyable learning experiences can overcome learning difficulties in the digital era.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the management methods used by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at SMKN 2 Bandar Lampung when implementing the values of religious moderation. The method of religious moderation emphasizes balance, tolerance, and an inclusive attitude in religious life. The researchers examined the role of PAI teachers as controllers in incorporating moderation values into the learning and school culture. They do this by using a qualitative case study approach. Observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews were used in the data collection process. The results show that PAI teachers at SMKN 2 Bandar Lampung use managerial strategies such as continuous value-based evaluation, internal teacher training, inclusive lesson planning, and cross-subject collaboration. Success is supported by the enhancement of the religious moderation curriculum, teacher training, and inclusive school policies. This research also applies a systems approach in educational management, considering the interaction between input, process, and output in moderate educational practices. The research results contribute to the development of contemporary Islamic education management theory and adaptive religious education policy practices. This research suggests that teachers should be strengthened with competency-based training and evaluation to implement the values of religious moderation in vocational schools.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in elementary schools plays a crucial role in shaping the character of the younger generation based on the Qur'an and Hadith. However, there are still challenges in integrating children's rights values into the Islamic Education curriculum. This research discusses the importance of incorporating children's rights values in Islamic Education to build the character of a morally upright generation. The background is the need to raise awareness of children's rights in religious education. The purpose of this research is to understand how the PAI curriculum can integrate children's rights values and how this implementation can shape better student character. The research method involves analyzing the existing PAI curriculum, interviewing teachers and students, and observing teaching and learning activities. The results of this research indicate that incorporating children's rights values can enhance students' understanding of their rights and foster a more ethical character. Therefore, effective implementation strategies require an integrated curriculum, active learning methods, extracurricular activities, and the participation of parents and the community.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) model in Islamic Religious Education at SMK Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung and evaluate its impact on students' critical thinking skills and learning independence. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, using in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis as data collection methods. The study found that the application of IBL significantly enhanced students’ critical thinking abilities and their capacity for independent learning. Teachers, in particular, reported increased student engagement in discussions and critical analysis of religious texts, such as tafsir and fiqh, through active exploration and collaborative learning. Students demonstrated a marked improvement in their analytical, evaluative, and synthetic thinking skills, as well as an increased independence in seeking learning resources and managing their study time. However, challenges related to time management and resource limitations were identified, which affected the full implementation of IBL. This study highlights the effectiveness of IBL in fostering critical thinking and independence in religious education and offers recommendations for its broader implementation in vocational schools. Future research should address the limitations of the current study by exploring the impact of IBL in diverse educational settings and incorporating more objective measures of critical thinking skills.
