Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the ability to understand mathematical concepts regarding integer operations in terms of the learning styles of class VII students at SMP Negeri 5 Makassar. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study were 3 students, namely 1 student with a visual learning style who got the best score on the test, 1 student with an auditory learning style who got the best score on the test, and 1 student with a kinesthetic learning style who got the best score on the test. The instruments used were learning style questionnaires, concept understanding ability tests, and interviews. The data analysis techniques in this research are data condensation, data presentation, data verification, and drawing conclusions. There are 5 indicators of concept understanding ability used in this research, namely restating a concept, classifying objects according to certain properties (according to the concept), providing examples and non-examples of the concept, presenting the concept in various forms of mathematical representation, and using , utilize, and select a particular operation or procedure. The triangulation in this research is method triangulation. Based on the research results, it shows that (1) students with a visual learning style in solving problems understanding mathematical concepts are only able to restate a concept and provide examples and not examples of the concept of integer counting operations (2) Students with an auditory learning style in solving problems understanding concepts mathematics is only able to restate a concept and provide examples and not examples of the concept (3) students with a kinesthetic learning style in solving problems understanding mathematical concepts are only able to restate a concept, and provide examples and not examples of the concept. So it can be concluded that the three subjects were only able to answer questions by fulfilling 2 of the 5 indicators of ability to understand mathematical concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Guided Discovery Learning on the learning outcomes of students in fractions of Class III SDN 20 Tala-Tala, Bissappu District, Bantaeng Regency. The type of research used in this study is experimental research, especially Pre-experimental. The sample in this study was 25 students. Data collection techniques were carried out using learning outcome tests and observation sheets. Data analysis techniques in this study were descriptive data analysis techniques and inferential data analysis techniques. The results of the study showed that there was an effect of the Guided Discovery Learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of class III students of SDN 20 Tala-Tala, Bissappu District, Bantaeng Regency, as shown by the results of the t-test analysis showing that the significance value obtained (Sig = 0.001) was smaller than the specified alpha value of 0.05 (0.001 <0.05), then H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, meaning that there was an effect of the Guided Discovery Learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of class III students of SDN 20 Tala-Tala, Bissappu District, Bantaeng Regency. In addition, the results of learning mathematics before the implementation of the Guided Discovery Learning model in the pretest with an average value of 60, there was an increase in the posttest with an average value of 80.4. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Guided Discovery Learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of class III students of SDN 20 Tala-Tala, Bissappu District, Bantaeng Regency. Abstract

This training program was initiated due to the limited ability of teachers to develop interactive digital-based learning media aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum. The objective was to enhance teachers’ competence in designing and utilizing Wordwall-based media to support engaging and participatory classroom activities. The training was conducted in both offline and online modes at UPT SMP Negeri 2 Bontonompo, involving 13 teachers. The implementation included lectures, demonstrations, Wordwall creation practices, and mentoring. Evaluation was carried out using pretest and posttest instruments, as well as quality analysis of the developed media. The results indicated a significant improvement in scores, rising from an average of 14.92 (pretest) to 20.38 (posttest), with a Sig. < 0.05. All participants successfully produced one Wordwall-based media relevant to their teaching topics. This activity significantly contributed to improving teachers' skills in integrating technology into instruction and strengthening their digital pedagogical capacity. The program serves as a viable model for ongoing training aimed at promoting technology-integrated learning in schools.
