Abstract

The bio-cycle farming system is intended to introduce the community to business-oriented and environmentally friendly agricultural businesses. The integrated biological cycle of agriculture, in which all components are helpful, and no waste is wasted or thrown away, reduces the risk of crop failure because dependence on a commodity can be avoided and saves production costs. This study aims to determine the effect of utilizing the bio-cycle farming system in handling household waste. Data collection used a survey method with a sample of 33 people. Quantitative data were analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, Kolmogorov-Smirnov classical assumption tests, simple regression tests, and hypothesis testing, namely the t-test and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results showed that the utilization of the bio-cycle farming system had a significant effect on handling household waste. The variable utilization of the bio-cycle farming system (X) showed a calculated t value greater than the t table (5.955> t table 2.040) or sig <? (0.000 <0.05). Meanwhile, the variation in changes in the waste management variable (Y) is influenced by changes in the independent variable consisting of the use of the bio cycle farming system (X) by 53.4%. In comparison, other factors outside this research influence the remaining 46.6%.

Abstract

This study aims to prove and analyze the influence of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) as a key strategy on increasing Customer Satisfaction for forest products industry in East Kalimantan. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method, where primary data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 278 consumers selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using the Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) approach with SmartPLS software. The results show that Customer Relationship Management (CRM) has a positive and statistically significant effect on Customer Satisfaction, as evidenced by a path coefficient of 0.249 and a T-statistic of 3.973 (P-value < 0.05). The R-Square value of 0.062 indicates that CRM is able to explain 6.2% of the variance in Customer Satisfaction. This finding confirms that the implementation of CRM strategies, particularly through ease of service access and the maintenance of personal relationships, is a crucial factor that can enhance consumer satisfaction in the forest products industry sector.

Abstract

Abstract

Recognition or identification is important to make it easier for us to recognize a type of plant or plant community. Each type has characteristics that have adapted to its habitat. Plants that exist in dry land areas including those around the University of Timor campus, it is necessary to identify or carry out scanning to identify names, characteristics and benefits and status in nature. Scanning is often done manually so that it is sometimes less effective and efficient familiar to the lay public. The aim of this research is to integrate scanning methods with optimizing ICT media such as using the “Sincatanesa” (Plant Scanning System) application with QR Code. The method used is a combination between observation methods and identifying specific tree growth forms and input into the “Sincatanesa” application which has been designed by researcher. Taxonomic data ranging from kingdom to species, habitus, benefits and IUCN status of each existing tree. Then make it QR Code attached to each tree. There were 18 types of trees identified and a QR Code was created for identification in the “Sincatanesa” application. The data stored is internet based so there will be a lot of data that can be stored, can be edited easily It's easy and just scan the barcode to identify the tree. Hopefully this application is known and used by all academic community at the University of Timor and the wider community. Furthermore, the “Sincatanesa” application can be developed based on smartphone so that it becomes more flexible and easier to use.

Abstract

The wood processing industry produces red meranti (Shorea leprosula) sawdust waste. This waste is generally not optimally utilized and can have negative impact. The use of sawdust as a raw material for particleboard is an environmentally friendly and economically valuable solution, given that particleboard has the potential to replace solid wood in the wood industry. This study aims to utilize red meranti sawdust waste as raw material for particleboard production using urea formaldehyde adhesive with different particleboard thicknesses. This studi evaluates the effect of thickness variations (1 cm, 1.5 cm, and 2 cm) on the physical properties (moisture content, density, and thickness swelling) and mechanical properties (elasticity/MoE, breaking strength/MoR, and tensile strenth) of particleboard. The results of testing the physical properties of particleboards showed that the average moisture content ranged from 10.92 % to 11.76 %, the density ranged from 0.54 g/cm3 to 0.6 g/cm3, and the thickness swelling ranged from 4.05 % to 12.02 %. Mechanical property testing of particleboard showed that the average MoE ranged from 9,110 kg/cm2 to 67,813 kg/cm2, MoR ranged from 9.44 kg/cm2 to 37.93 kg/cm2, and internal bonding ranged from 0.292 kg/cm2 to 0.396 kg/cm2. Based on the results of statistical analysis, it shows that in testing physical properties, thickness variation does not affect moisture content and density, but affects the thickness swelling of particleboards after being immersed for 2 and 24 hours. In mechanical property testing, thickness variation did not affect internal bonding, but it did affect MoE and MoR. Overall, this study confirms the potential of red meranti sawdust waste as a raw material for particleboard, although improvements are needed in increasing mechanical strength, particularly MoR and internal bonding.
