The challenge for academic success in higher education is getting tougher with the implementation of study from home (SFH) in the covid-19 pandemic. One aspect that supports the success of online learning is the ability of students to survive in difficult conditions or referred to as coping skills. Coping skills consist of several strategies, divided into positive and negative coping strategies. The objectives of this study: 1) are there any differences in student coping strategies in dealing with online learning during the covid-19 pandemic; 2) are there differences in student approach strategies in dealing with online learning during the covid-19 pandemic; 3) Are there differences in student avoidance strategies in dealing with online learning during the covid-19 pandemic; and 4) Are there differences in student social support strategies in dealing with online learning during the covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is a type of descriptive research. The sample in this study were students of the guidance and counseling study program enrolled in the 2020/2021 academic year. The research sample is 210 consisting of 100 male students and 110 female students who were selected randomly. The instrument of this study used an Academic coping strategies questionnaire from Sullivan (Sullivan, 2010) adapted. The results of the adaptation of the ACSC questionnaire through the CFA (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) test showed the Cronbach alpha value = 0.081; RMSEA = 0.072; CFI= 0.98; GFI= 0.882; CMIN/DF = 2548.63/1540; and TLI = 0.891. The results of data analysis using the ANOVA test shows the approach factor is the type of coping strategy that is most widely used by students during online learning. The coping approach strategy is most often used by students in the category of academic achievement of the five best in class.

This study was conducted to examine the effectiveness of social skills training to reduce students aggressive behavior in the city of Makassar. This study uses 20 participants (students) from the four faculties, which are  Faculty of language and literature, Faculty of Art and Design, Faculty of Engineering, and faculty of sports in the UNM. This study uses a pre-experimental design and data analysis by using t-test. The results showed that the level of aggressiveness of 20 students during the pretest in at the high category, but after being given the social skills training the level is in the low category. In addition, it shows that social skills training is effective in reducing aggressive behavior of students. The results showed that social intelligence training which includes training materials, namely (1) to train students self-consciousness (self-awareness), (2) how to express feelings, (3) students etiquette , (4) time management, and (5) conflict management to reduce students aggressive behavior at UNM. The implications of this study are that to reduce students conflict at UNM, then social skills training should be used as patterns for new student orientation for all students in all faculties at UNM.

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk: (1) Mengetahui gambaran kepercayaan diri siswa ; (2) Mengetahui gambaran pelaksanaan Layanan Bimbingan Klasikal Berbasis PBL (Problem Based Learning) terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa; (3) Mengetahui apakah layanan bimbingan klasikal berbasis PBL (Problem Based Learning) dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitin eksperimental dengan model Quasi Experimental Design melibatkan 70 siswa SMAN 13 Gowa dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data angket skala kepercayaan diri yang di adaptasi dari peter lautser dan observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis inferensial, uji hipotesis dengan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa sebelum diberikan treatment layanan bimbingan klasikal berbasis PBL (Problem Based Learning ) berada pada kategori rendah dan setelah diberikan perlakuan berupa layanan bimbingan klasikal berbasis PBL (Problem Based Learning) siswa meningkat atau berada pada kategori tinggi, (2) Pada saat pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan klasikal berbasis PBL (Problem Based Learning) partisispasi siswa berada pada kategori tinggi (3) pengaruh layanan bimbingan klasikal berbasis PBL (Problem Based Learning) dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa di SMAN 13 Gowa. Peningkatan kepercayaan diri siswa terlihat pada rajin mengerjakan tugas, menjadi tidak gugup saat berbicara, yakin dengan kemampuanya, bertaggung jawab atas tugas tugas yang diberikan, aktif dan interaktif dalam berkomunikasi

This study aims to (1) describe the need for pictorial multiple intelligence inventory for early grade students, (2) to find out the description of inventory forms, (3) to test usability, accuracy, and feasibility of the inventory, and (4) to know validity and reliability of the Inventory. The method of this research is a development research by using the research stages of Borg and Gall development research. Data is collected through interview, observation, and questionnaire, and the data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that (1) inventory was needed by teachers and students in Darul Istiqamah Bongki, (2) The inventory was developed using orthogonal item extracts with alternative choices Yes and No. The inventory consists of eight sessions representing each Multiple Intelligences. (3) the results of expert validation tests show inventory products included in the criteria are very useful, very feasible and very appropriate. (4) the results of the validity test using Product Moment Correlation also show good validity on inventory, while the results of the reliability test with Cronbach Alpha show an alpha value of 0.729> 0.6 so that inventory has good reliability. This means that the substance of the Pictorial Multiple Intelligences Inventory developed has met the criteria of useful, feasible and appropriate, valid and reliable so that it can be used as a tool to map the plural intelligence of early grade students.

The research aims to (1) the description of development needs of Guidance and Counseling Video Media to Reduce Bullying Behavior, (2) the prototype of Guidance and Counseling Video Media to Reduce Bullying Behavior which is valid and acceptable, (3) the acceptance of Guidance and Counseling Video Media to Reduce Bullying Behavior in SMAN 5 Makassar. The research was development research or research and development which was based on research stages by Borg and Gall. The research employed collecting data technique through interview and scale. The results of research revealed that (1) the description of needs level of Guidance and Counseling Video Media to Reduce Bullying Behavior showed that the video media very important and needed, (2) the prototype of Guidance and Counseling Video Media developed was already valid and acceptable to Reduce Bullying Behavior, (3) the acceptance of Guidance and Counseling Media Video which was given to 10 students in small group test showed that there was change of bullying behavior level before and after viewing Guidance and Counseling Video Media. This meant that guidance and counseling media video could reduce bullying behavior.

This research is aimed to find out (1) the description of media analysis. (2) the prototype of pubertal guidance application media. (3) the validity and practicality of the guidance application media for mild intellectual disabled students, made in the form of an application designed to display several lessons. This research method is a research and development (R&D), stage of research by Borg & Gall. Researchers applied interview data collection, questionnaires, and validation test instruments. The results showed that (1) an overview of the media needs for pubertal guidance applications was required for teachers and students with mild intellectual disability for puberty guidance (2) a prototype of pubertal guidance application media was developed in the form of an android application contained material contents, videos, and evaluations (3) based on a test, the validity and the practicality of the pubertal guidance application was valid and practical, applicable on the pubertal guidance class for mild intellectual disability students.

The study aimed at discovering (1) the description of the need of “problem box e-counseling” Android-based application as a medium for students’ problem disclosure, (2) the prototype of “problem box e-counseling” Android-based application as a medium for students’ problem disclosure, and (3) the acceptance of “problem box e-counseling” Android-based application as a medium for students’ problem disclosure. This study is a development, The data were collected by interview and questionnaire techniques. This study revealed that (1) there is a high need of “problem box e-counseling” Android-based application as a medium for students’ problem disclosure at SMA Islam Athirah I Makassar (2) the prototype of “problem box e-counseling” Android-based application as a medium for students’ problem disclosure at Athirah I Islamic High School Makassar (3) the acceptance of each subject of research expert test, namely the counseling media expert, technology expert in education, and counseling practitioner in the initial product test showing positive response. Thus, the application can be accepted, and based on a test involving 10 students and a school counselor in the small group test; it indicates a very positive response (high), so it can be accepted.

This study aims to determine the description of traditional games as a medium of counseling in improving the social skills of students and know the influence of traditional games as a medium of counseling in improving students' social skills. The research used quasi experiment with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design design research. The samples used purposive sampling with 12 experimental group and 12 control group. Instrument using social skill scale. The findings of this study reveal that 1) the level of social skills of students in SMP Negeri 18 Makassar before being treated in the form of traditional games are in the "low" category and after being given a traditional game increases or is in the 'high' category. 2) there is a significant positive effect of traditional games in improving students' social skills. That is, the students' social skills can be improved by the provision of traditional games.

This study is aimed (1) to describe the self-awareness on learning of the 7th grade students, (2) to describe the implementation of technique reframing in affecting the self-awareness on learning of the 7th grade students, and (3) to investigate the effect of reframing technique on self-awarenss on learning of the 7th grade students. Quantitative approach was used in this study by implementing quasi experimental design and using Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design to 24 samples. Data collection techniques applied in this research were self-awareness scale on learning developed by the researcher, observation, and interview. Data analysis technique applied in tis study was independent samples t-test which was conducted through Statistical Product for Service Solustion (SPSS) version 24.0. The study found that (1) the self-awareness on learning of the 7th grade students before the treatment of reframing technique was in low category, while that after the treatment of such technique was in moderate and high categories, (2) the self-awareness on learning of the 7th grade students was increased after the treatment of reframing technique, and (3) reframing technique can increase the self awareness on learning of the 7th grade students.

This study aims: (1) To develop career information service model based on electronic media (e-career) which acceptable in improving students’ career decision at SMAN 3 Makassar. (2) To know the effectivity of career information service model based on electronic media (e-career) in improving students’ career decision at SMAN 3 Makassar. The study was a research and development which referred to the research stages by Borg and Gall. The research data were collected by employing interviews, questionnaires, and scales of measurement, as well as the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) techniques. The results of the study revealed that (1) the development of the acceptable electronic-based media (e-career) of career information services model in improving students’ career decisions obtained high rating scale from the experts and a very good response from the counseling teachers and students, where it was acceptable and feasible to be used in SMAN 3 Makassar; (2) The application of electronic-based media (e-career) of career information services model was effective in improving students career decision at SMAN 3 Makassar.
