Abstract

Background: Anemia in pregnancy is a condition in which the mother has a hemoglobin level below 11 gr% in the first and third trimesters, and a level below 10.5 gr% in the second trimester. Most anemia in pregnancy is caused by iron deficiency and acute bleeding. Purpose: The effectiveness of giving ambon banana, avocado and honey juice to increase hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. Methods: True experiment with pretest and posttest control group design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling obtained a sample of 34 respondents, namely 17 control and intervention groups. Analysis using the Independent t-test. Results: The Independent t-test statistical test resulted in p=0.001<0.05, meaning there was an influence of Ambon Banana, Avocado and Honey juice on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. Conclusion: Giving ambon banana, avocado and honey juice is effective in increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. Bananas contain iron which will stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood. Avocados have important nutrients, namely vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, iron, folic acid, potassium and quite high levels of calories and fat which are useful as a source of energy. Honey contains important minerals which help form hemoglobin.

Abstract

One of the health problems in Indonesia is the anxiety of pregnant women before giving birth in the third trimester. The aim of the research was to analyze the effect of five finger hypnosis and deep breathing relaxation on anxiety before childbirth in third trimester pregnant women at the Sandul Community Health Center. The research design is quantitative observational with two group pre test and post test approach with the research focus directed at analyzing the effect of five finger hypnosis and deep breathing relaxation on anxiety before delivery in third trimester pregnant women at the Sandul Community Health Center. The population in the study was 66 respondents and the sample was 60 respondents taken using the Accidental Sampling technique. The research results showed that almost half of the respondents before being given five-finger hypnosis had moderate anxiety. After being given five-finger hypnosis, anxiety fell into the low category at 36.7%. Meanwhile, almost half of the respondents before being given deep breathing relaxation had moderate anxiety. After being given deep breathing relaxation, anxiety became the low category at 40.0%. Based on the results of the Paired t test analysis, the results were obtained p-value is 0.002 < 0.05, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, so it is concluded that there is an influence of five finger hypnosis on anxiety before childbirth in third trimester pregnant women at the Sandul Community Health Center. Based on the results of the Paired t test analysis, the results were obtained p-value is 0.040 < 0.05, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, so it is concluded that there is an influence of deep breathing relaxation on anxiety before childbirth in third trimester pregnant women at the Sandul Community Health Center. By fully involving themselves, pregnant women can optimize the benefits of these two techniques in managing anxiety before giving birth.

Abstract

The number of female HIV/AIDS sufferers is increasing along with the increase in transmission of unsafe sexual behavior in men who then transmit HIV to their sexual partners. In addition, HIV transmission from HIV-infected mothers to their babies tends to increase along with the increase in the number of HIV-infected women, which is why HIV/AIDS requires serious attention from parties involved in front-line health services. This community service is to increase pregnant women's knowledge about HIV/AIDS. This activity was carried out by providing counseling with leaflets to pregnant women about HIV/AIDS by giving a pre-test before counseling and a post-test after counseling. The technique is accidental sampling. The results of the counseling were obtained before the counseling was given as many as 2 participants (25%) with sufficient knowledge and after the activity there was an increase to 6 participants (75%) with Good knowledge.It is hoped that further education will focus on preventing HIV/AIDS in pregnant women.

Abstract

Nausea and vomiting that occurs in the first trimester of pregnancy is caused by increased levels of the hormones Estrogen and Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) in the serum from the placenta. Nausea, vomiting often occurs when you wake up in the morning, which is also called morning sickness. The aim of this community service is to optimize pregnant women's knowledge about the benefits of ginger-honey drinks to reduce nausea and vomiting in pregnant women in the first trimester. This activity is carried out by providing education about nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy by giving a pre-test questionnaire about nausea and vomiting before being given counseling and post test questionnaire about nausea and vomiting after being given counseling. Then they carried out a demonstration on making Honey Ginger leaf drink and immediately distributed it for pregnant women to drink. This counseling was carried out at the Mawar posyandu in the working area of the Karang Indah Community Health Center, Merauke district, which was attended by 23 pregnant women. The results of the counseling before the counseling was given were 13 pregnant women (57%) with good knowledge and after the activity there was an increase in knowledge to 22 pregnant women (96%) with good knowledge. It is hoped that there will be more emphasis on treating nausea and vomiting by utilizing the natural wealth around us, namely ginger and honey.
