Abstract

Geology is an important aspect in the development of tourism in an area. One of the attractions in a natural tourism location is certainly highly controlled by the geological setting in the area. The purpose of this research is to assess tourism values of geological features in the Bongo and surrounding areas as a basis for developing geotourism on the southern coast of Gorontalo. The research location is at coordinates N 00029’42” - N 00029’51” and E 12301’26” - E 12303’32”. The method used in this study is a surface geological survey, which includes field data collection in the form of lithology, geological structure and geomorphology. The standard used for assessing tourism values is the technical guide for assessing geological heritage resources by the Geological Survey Center. The results showed that the lithology unit of the study area consists of granite, volcanic breccia and reef limestone. The geological structure in the research area is shear fracture with main stress that relatively directed to northwest-southeast. The geomorphic unit of the study area consisted of two units, namely volcanic hills, and marine units. The results of the assessment of tourism values on geological features explain that the Bongo and surrounding areas are included in the medium category. Improvements are needed on low value criteria, namely vulnerability, relationships with other values, and economic level.

Abstract

Regionally, the research area is composed of volcanic and plutonic rocks. Stratigraphic data of the study area are still regional scale. This study aims to analyze detailed stratigraphic data and formulate the geological history of the Limbato area and its surroundings. The area located at coordinates 0º56’6” - 1º0’10.8” N dan 122º5’56.4” - 122º9’10.8” E, the area of the study is around 45 km². The method used in the research is scientific exploration by conducting a surface geological mapping survey. The geological surface in the form of field data collection and laboratory analysis. Field data in the form of lithology data and laboratory analysis in the form of petrology and petrographic analysis. The stratigraphy of the research area is divided into 4 (four) unofficial units, which are sorted from old to young, namely granodiorite units of Middle Miocene age, volcanic breccia units of Late Miocene to Early Pliocene, andesite units of Middle Pliocene and alluvial units of Holocene age.Stratigraphic analysis of the Limbato area is related to geological history. In the Middle Miocene period subduction formed plutonic rocks that produced granodiorite units, then during the Late Miocene volcanic eruptions resulted in volcanic breccia units. The activity was stopped at the time of the Early Pliocene. After the volcanic activity was stopped, then new magma activity occurred at the time of the Middle Pliocene resulting in an andesite unit. After all rock units have been deposited, an erosion process occurs in older units which results in an alluvial unit.

Abstract

The research area is located in South Leato, Dumbo Raya District, Gorontalo City. The research area is consist of Bone Diorite Formation which is in the miocene and the Pinogu Volcano Rock Formation which is in the quarter. The geological structure of the study area recorded in different rock formations is very interesting to be studied. The purpose of this study is to identify the types and general directions of geological structures that control the stress regime in the study area. This research method is in the form of field data collection and studio analysis. Data is collected by the field survey method. Analysis studio in the fracture processing data. Based on observations in the field, the geological structure contained in the study area is controlled by fracture. The type of fracture in the field is shear fracture. The results of the reconstruction of shear fracture in the study area is relatively northwest-southeast and north-south main direction.

Abstract

Daerah penelitian secara administratif berada di Kecamatan Boliyohuto, Kabupaten Gorontalo, secara fisiografi daerah penelitian berada di lembah paguyaman yang didominasi oleh batuan gunungapi dan endapan danau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui geologi bawah permukaan daerah Bongonggoayu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan geolistrik konfigurasi Wenner-Sclumberger. Hasil penelitian geologi bawah permukaan daerah penelitian menggunakan geolistrik Wenner-Schlumberger terbagi atas 4 lintasan berdasarkan pengolahan Res2dinv dan rockword terdapat beberapa lapisan litologi berdasarkan penampang 2D bawah permukaan dimana didominasi oleh lapisan kelompok batupasir, lempung dan pasir kerikil.  Kemudian terdapat anomali  yang kemungkinan besar pada anomali ini terdapat pengaruh struktur dengan arah barat laut-Tenggara pada lintasan 1 dan lintasan 4.

Abstract

Indonesia has very diverse and unique rocks that have the potential to become a geological heritage. Based on the existing potential, an integrated management system is needed so that it can be utilized for the welfare of the community, one of which is a geopark. Gorontalo has a rock distribution consisting of several formations, one of which is the Tinombo Formation which is the oldest formation. In this formation there is red limestone which has great potential due to its rarity so that it can be developed into a site in the development of a geopark in Gorontalo. The purpose of this research is to conduct a geosite assessment of geological features in Boalemo Regency as a basis for developing geotourism in Boalemo Regency, Gorontalo. The research site is located in Dimito Village, Wonosari Subdistrict and Lahumbo Village, Tilamuta Subdistrict, Boalemo Regency, Gorontalo Province. The methods used in this research are lithological analysis, Geochemical analysis and geosite potential analysis using the technical guidelines for geological heritage resource assessment by the Geological Survey Center. The results showed that the red color-controlling minerals in limestone are hematite and rodoxite, the red color-controlling chemical elements in limestone are SiO2, MnO, Fe2O3, Sr and CaO. The results of the assessment of geological features explain that the Wonosari Red Limestone Site and the Tilamuta Red Limestone Site are included in the medium category. Geosite Red Limestone can be developed as an object of study in the field of education by utilizing natural laboratories for the development of geoparks in Gorontalo.

Abstract

Information and communication technology has become a necessity in all aspects of life, including the tourism sector. The tourism sector needs that in promoting and marketing a tourism destination through various digital-based media to reach more potential tourists in a short time. For this reason, the team of Holistic Program for Village Development and Empowerment of Student Activity Unit of Literacy, in their main program to optimize the potential of the Oluhuta early human site, the coral reef terrace site, as well as the various geo-diversity and bio-diversity wealth found in Oluhuta Village, created an innovation in the form of Android-based mobile app marketing and a Geographic Information System (GIS) called Oluhuta Journey as a marketing and promotion tool for edu-geotourism in Oluhuta Village. The purpose of this article is to explain and describe the process of designing, manufacturing, and training Oluhuta Journey Mobile App Marketing. The result showed the unique features contained in the mobile app marketing are possible to reach and attract both local and foreign tourists to visit Oluhuta Village.

Abstract

Secara administratif wilayah penelitian terletak di Desa Keramat dan sekitarnya, Kabupaten Boalemo, Provinsi Gorontalo. Daerah penelitian tersususun oleh batuan terobosan dari formasi Batuan Gabro (Teog), Formasi Batuan Granodiorit Bumbulan (Tpb) dan Formasi Aluvium (Qal). Kondisi geologi daerah penelitian sangat kompleks sehingga menarik diteliti karena belum pernah dilakukan penelitian secara detail. Tujuan penelitian yang akan dicapai adalah mengetahui karakteristik mineralogi dan tekstur serta proses terbentuknya batuan dasar berdasarkan data pemetaan geologi dan data petrografi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian tersebut terdiri dari survei geologi lapangan, penelitian laboratorium, dan pengolahan studio. Metode observasi lapangan adalah metode yang berfokus pada pengamatan kondisi geologi di daerah penelitian. Kemudian data-data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode penelitian laboratorium berupa analisis petrografi dengan sayatan tipis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Morfologi daerah penelitian terbagi menjadi 2 satuan yaitu satuan perbukitan rendah struktural dan dataran aluvial. Stratigrafi daerah penelitian dibagi menjadi 2 satuan diurutkan dari tua ke muda yaitu satuan gabro, satuan granodiorite dan satuan endapan aluvial. Struktur geologi yang bekerja pada daerah penelitian berupa kekar gerus yang memiliki arah barat laut-tenggara hingga timur laut-barat daya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis petrografi yang telah dilakukan maka diperoleh hasil karateristik batuan gabro sebagai batuan dasar pada formasi gabro adalah berwarna putih kecokelatan (PPl), berwarna abu-abu hingga orange (XPL), hypokristalin, ukuran kristal (1-3 mm), bentuk dan hubungan antar kristal subhedral. Tekstur umum ekuigranular faneritik dengan komposisi mineral penyusun batuan yaitu plagioklas, K-feldspar, biotit, piroksen, mineral opak dan mineral alterasi penyusun batuan serisit. Batuan ini merupakan bagian dari jalur magmatisme pada zaman Eosen.

Abstract

Tatanan geologi dan tektonik yang kompleks menjadi penyebab keterdapatan banyak batuan intrusi untuk membentuk berbagai tipe cebakan mineralisasi pembawa mineral ekonomis. Prospek Daerah Gadung, Kabupaten Buol, Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah memiliki potensi yang besar karena kondisi geologinya yang kompleks, namun penelitian di daerah ini masih sangat kurang dan hanya menggunakan metode stream sediment dalam pengambilan data sehingganya diperlukan adanya penelitian yang terbaru dan detail. Metode yang dilakukan dalam menyelesaikan penelitian ini berupa metode pemetaan geologi semi detail dan channel sampling yang terdiri atas observasi litologi, struktur geologi hingga geomorfologi. Pengambilan sampel batuan untuk dianalisis petrografi dan mineragrafi sebagai data analisis pendukung. Satuan geomorfologi berupa pegunungan aliran lava Gadung dan perbukitan intrusi tinggi Gadung yang dimanfaatkan oleh penambang tradisional. Satuan litologi berupa vulkanik andesit, intrusi monsonit, intrusi monsodiorit, intrusi breksia, intrusi diorit porfiri, dan breksia hidrotermal yang paling banyak keterdapatan mineralisasi ekonomis. Struktur geologi berupa sesar naik dekstral Anoa dan sesar sinistral normal Ladelli yang menjadi jalan bagi intrusi naiknya fluida hidrotermal. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa daerah ini memiliki potensi cebakan mineralisasi karena kehadiran bodi breksia hidrotermal yang besar dan keterdapatan kontrol struktur berupa dilatational jog, dan kehadiran kuarsa vein berupa mineralisasi sulfida pada litologi intrusi monsonit dimana litologi ini menjadi litologi yang mendominasi pada daerah penelitian.

Abstract

Suatu kontrol utama pembentukan alterasi dan mineralisasi adalah struktur geologi, karena dapat menjadi jalur fluida hidrotermal yang membawa mineral ekonomis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kondisi geologi dan menganalisis kontrol struktur geologi terhadap mineralisasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi lapangan. Observasi lapangan terdiri dari pengamatan geomorfologi, struktur geologi dan litologi. Geomorfologi terdiri pengamatan bentang alam dan stadia sungai. Struktur geologi berupa kekar dan sesar. Litologi meliputi alterasi dan mineralisasi. Hasil observasi lapangan dianalisis geomorfologi, stratigrafi, struktur geologi serta analisis laboratorium seperti petrografi dan mineragrafi. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan satuan geomorfologi punggungan vulkanik Motomboto dan satuan perbukitan erosional Motomboto. Hasil analisis stratigrafi dan analisis petrografi didapatkan satuan latit, satuan riolit porfiri, satuan breksi vulkanik dan satuan endapan aluvial. Hasil dari analisis struktur geologi mendapatkan arah umum kekar NE-SW, NW-SE, N-S, NEE-SWW dan sesar terdiri sesar geser dan sesar normal. Secara megaskopis dan analisis mineragrafi, mineral logam yang teramati adalah pirit, kalkopirit, galena, sfalerit, tenanntit-tetrahedrit, kovelit, arsenopirit, emas dan azurit. Hasil analisis kontrol struktur terhadap mineralisasi, mineralisasi terbatas pada breksi hidrotermal yang merupakan batuan hasil dari zona hancuran zona sesar, kemudian terisi oleh fluida hidrotermal yang membawa mineral ekonomis. Struktur geologi daerah penelitian dapat menjadi jalur masuk fluida hidrotermal.

Abstract

Sulawesi or Celebes is located in the central part of the Indonesian archipelago which has interesting geological potential to be developed. One of this interesting area is known as Ambang volcano area. Ambang volcano is one of the active volcanoes in North Sulawesi. Administratively, the research area is located in Bongkudai Baru Village, Modayag sub-district, East Bolaang Mongondow district, mapped at coordinates N 0°45'58.89'' and E 124°24'13.04''. This study is aimed to analyze volcanic geomorphological units using satellite imagery and surface geological mapping. The results showed that the geological conditions of the study area consist of 4 lithologies i.e volcanic breccia, andesite, agglomerate and sandstone rocks. Based on the morphographic and morphogenetic analysis of the study area which refers to the Van Zuidam and Verstapen 1985 classification, the study area is divided into five landforms i.e fumarole and solfatara ambang volcanic, ambang volcanic cone, plains and fluvial slope feet of ambang volcano, denudational hill ambang volcanoes and lake units.
