Abstract

Caristi’s fixed point theorem is generalization of Banach’s fixed point. Banach’s fixed point theorem guarantee existence and uniqueness fixed point in complete space and contractive function. Caristi’s fixed point uses function f:X→X and lower semicontinuous function ψ:X→[0,∞). In this paper, we discuss some generalization of Caristi’s fixed point theorem. We also use ω-distance as distance function. We discuss function T:X→2^X where 2^X are collection of all nonempty subsets of X. And then we use function c:[0,∞)→(0,∞) that is nondecreasing function.

Abstract

Wavelet topics can be applied for image denoising. Wavelet transform is divided into discrete wavelet transform and continuous wavelet transform. Discrete wavelet transform is useful for image denoising, image compression, etc. In this research, we discuss image denoising using wavelets with hard thresholding and soft thresholding. We will also compare results of image denoising using VisuShrink, BayesShrink, and NormalShrink in determining threshold value. In this research, we use grayscale test image with size pixels. To measure algorithm, peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) value is used. Image denoising uses hard thresholding: PSNR values of Haar, Daubechies 7, and biorthogonal 3.5 wavelets are same for three methods (VisuShrink, BayesShrink, NormalShrink). PSNR value of symlets 11 wavelet is highest for VisuShrink and NormalShrink methods. Whereas, PSNR value of coiflets 3 wavelet is highest for VisuShrink method. Fastest computing times of Haar, Daubechies 7, biorthogonal 3.5, and symlets 11 wavelets are for VisuShrink method. Whereas, fastest computing time of coiflets 3 wavelet is for NormalShrink method. Image denoising using soft threshoding: PSNR values of Haar, Daubechies 7, biorthogonal 3.5, and coiflets 3 wavelets are same for three methods (VisuShrink, BayesShrink, NormalShrink). Whereas, PSNR value of symlets 11 wavelet is highest for VisuShrink and BayesShrink methods. Fastest computing times of all wavelets (Haar, Daubechies 7, biorthogonal 3.5, symlets 11, and coiflets 3) are for NormalShrink method.

Abstract

The fixed point is useful not only to solve problems in linear equation and differential equation, but also integral equation. The fixed point theorem of Hardy is generalization of the fixed point theorem of Reich. The metric space can be generalized to other spaces. b-metric space is one of generalization of metric space. Axiom of triangle inequality in metric space is not the same as axiom of triangle inequality in b-metric space. In this research, we discuss about fixed point theorem of Hardy in metric space. Besides that, we also discuss about fixed point of Hardy in complete b-metric space. Before proving that theorem, we prove lemma that supports the proof of theorem. We prove not only existance, but also uniqueness of fixed point from a function defined in complete b-metric space.

Abstract

The wavelet transform is an improvement of the Fourier transform. Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Stationary Wavelet Transform (SWT) are part of the wavelet transform. DWT and SWT can be used to reduce noise in images. In this research, DWT and SWT methods are compared for image denoising process. The PSNR value and computation time for level 1 and 2 wavelets are compared. A grayscale test image of Lena and the cat measuring 512×512 pixels are used. We use Haar, Daubechies, biorthogonal, symlets, and coiflets wavelets. From this research results, the highest PSNR value is for the SWT method. As for the fastest computation time, it is all for DWT method.

Abstract

The wavelet transform is an improvement of the Fourier transform. The Fourier transform changes the domain from the signal domain to the frequency domain, while the wavelet transform changes the signal domain to the scale (dilation) and translation domains. Discrete wavelet transformation (DWT) can be used to reduce noise in images. In this study, level 1 and 2 DWT methods for image denoising are compared. Lena and Mandrill grayscale test images of 512×512 pixels were used. The wavelets used are Haar, symlets, biorthogonal, coiflets, and Daubechies wavelets. We compare the PSNR value and computation time for Lena and Mandrill images using DWT level 1 and 2. From the research results, the highest PSNR values are for DWT level 2. As for the fastest computation times, they are for DWT level 1.

Abstract

In the development of science and technology in the world of education, students need to be introduced to a variety of varied learning media, one of which is the use of augmented reality-based e-books. The ability to learn analytic geometry requires systematic, logical and critical thinking that can be developed through learning. The purpose of this study is to test the increase in learning motivation using augmented reality based e-book media in analytic geometry course. The method in this study using ADDIE which consists of five stages which include analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The result of the research is that the average result of the questionnaire given by students from various aspects of the assessment is 86%. Meanwhile, based on learning outcomes, there is a difference in learning outcomes between midterm exam score and the e-book score, which is 9.18 and based on the results of the analysis using SPSS on the t-test, it is found that tcount = 4.768 > ttable = 2.015. From these results, it can be concluded that augmented reality-based e-book media in analytic geometry courses can motivate students as a technology based learning medium for students of mathematics study program at Universitas Billfath. Keywords: augmented reality, geometry analytic, e-book DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i2.pp486-495

Abstract

Background: Aeng Tong-Tong Village in Sumenep Regency is widely recognized as a center for traditional kris craftsmanship. It is the only area in Indonesia with the largest number of kris masters (Empu), with approximately 600 practitioners officially acknowledged by UNESCO. Despite this cultural richness, the village still lacks a well-developed visual identity and information system, particularly in aspects such as directional signage, visual branding, and overall appeal to tourists and visitors. This community engagement initiative aims to design, enhance, and implement a strong visual identity for the Empu Keris, serving both as a means of cultural preservation and promotional media. Method: Methodology: The activities were carried out through several stages, including workshops on preservation and conservation techniques, digital marketing and visual promotion training, and a cultural festival culminating in the official unveiling of totem signage. These efforts were specifically directed at Through a strategic and collaborative design process, the program successfully produced visual elements that function as distinctive markers, helping visitors easily identify the kris artisans and masters in Aeng Tong-Tong Village. Conclusion: The installation of kris-shaped totem signage in Aeng Tong-Tong serves as a meaningful step toward strengthening the village’s visual identity as a cultural tourism destination, while actively preserving and honoring the ancestral heritage of the Indonesian archipelago.
