Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the Qur’an Massive Program in raising the standard of TPQ instruction in Kediri City and to identify the challenges that arose during its implementation. A descriptive qualitative study methodology using a literature review approach was utilized. The findings of the study showed that the program was effective in improving students’ Qur’anic literacy, enhancing the learning environment, and addressing several accessibility and sustainability-related issues. However, challenges remained, including the need for sustained support from the community and government, as well as ensuring consistency in the quality of teaching across various TPQs. By adopting best practices from other successful Qur’anic education programs, the Qur’an Massive Program had the potential to be more effective in achieving its goal of creating a generation that was morally upright and well-versed in Islamic teachings.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Kamis Jawa Program at SD Plus Sunan Ampel Kediri and its impact on improving students' moral character. In the context of rapid globalization and modernization, maintaining local cultural values poses a significant challenge. The Kamis Jawa Program, which integrates Javanese cultural values into the curriculum, aims to develop good character in students and promote cultural preservation. This research used a qualitative method with a case study design, involving observation, interviews, and document studies to collect data. The results indicate that the Kamis Jawa Program positively affects increasing students' understanding and appreciation of Javanese cultural values, such as politeness, cooperation, and gentleness. The program also successfully promotes the formation of good moral character among students, including respectful attitudes, responsibility, and mutual cooperation. Additionally, the program contributes to the preservation of Javanese culture and the development of students' cultural identity amidst globalization influences. This study provides insight that integrating local cultural values into education can be an effective strategy for developing good student character and preserving culture. The implication is that schools in Indonesia and other regions with similar cultural wealth can adopt similar approaches to integrate cultural values into character education, strengthening cultural identity, and promoting tolerance and diversity. Kata kunci: Evaluasi, Program, Ekstrakurikuler ,Baca Tulis Al-Qur’an

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the Ummi Method in improving Qur’an reading skills among mothers attending classes at Rumah Tahfidz Haromain. The research background highlights the challenges faced by adult learners, particularly low fluency, inaccurate articulation of makhraj, and inconsistent application of tajwid. The Ummi Method was selected due to its structured approach, emphasis on tartil habituation, and integration of both classical and individualized strategies. Employing a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design, the study involved 20 purposively selected participants. Data collection instruments included pre- and post-intervention reading tests, alongside observation sheets assessing participation and motivation. Data analysis utilized paired sample t-tests and descriptive statistics. Findings indicate a significant improvement, with posttest scores showing a 25% increase compared to pretest results. Enhancements were observed across fluency, makhraj accuracy, and consistent tajwid application. Qualitative data further revealed heightened motivation, active participation, and increased self-confidence among participants. These outcomes were supported by talaqqi, repetitive practice (tikrar), and personalized correction. The results demonstrate that the Ummi Method is effective not only for children but also adaptable for adult learners in nonformal institutions. The study recommends sustained implementation supported by relevant media and certified instructors to optimize long-term outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a value- and love-based learning model for enhancing students’ character in digital learning contexts. This study employed a mixed-methods approach with an explanatory sequential design. Quantitative data were collected using pre- and post-tests administered with the Student Empathy and Character Values Scale (SENKS) to measure social empathy, social responsibility, and self-reflection. Meanwhile, qualitative data were obtained through participant observation, interviews, and learning documentation to explore the process of value internalization. The study was conducted over 12 weeks in three Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, involving 90 students in grades V–VI, six teachers, and three principals as key informants. Quantitative data were analyzed using a paired-samples t-test, and qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis; the results were integrated to provide a comprehensive understanding. The findings indicate that implementing the value- and love-based learning model significantly improves students’ character holistically. The average character score increased from 68.5 in the pre-test to 83.9 in the post-test (Δ = 15.4; p < 0.001), with the highest improvements observed in social empathy (26.4%), social responsibility (22.6%), and self-reflection (25.4%). Qualitative findings revealed improvements in collaboration (+77.8%), care for peers (+100%), and discipline (+70%), as well as the creation of a supportive classroom climate. The mechanisms of character transformation include emotional awareness, strengthening social relationships through collaboration, and internalizing values through reflection and teacher feedback.

Abstract

This service focuses on improving financial literacy as a solution to the low transparency and accountability in fund management at the Neighborhood Association (RT) level in Tales Village, Kediri. The goal is to equip RT 02 RW 05 administrators and residents with a basic understanding and skills in budget planning, financial recording, and accountable reporting. The activities were carried out through a participatory approach and the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method, including training, technical assistance, and participatory discussion forums. The results showed significant changes, such as the formation of a standard bookkeeping system, increased citizen participation in contributions, and the emergence of new local leaders in RT fund management. This program succeeded in building new institutions that support transparency, strengthen citizen trust, and encourage RT independence through more professional and participatory financial management.
