Abstract

This research is aimed at investigating the effect of academic quality culture on student learning concentration with LMS-based classroom management as an intervening variable in higher education. There is a signficant amount of research on academic quality and digital learning environments. However little empirical evidence exists to cliffhanger how the institutional culture of quality manifests through technology-mediated pedagogical practices in shaping attentional engagement. Based on a quantitative survey design using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS, the study obtained data collected from 391 undergraduate students of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Pakuan Bogor, Indonesia through proportionate stratified random sampling represented by six study programs. Academic quality culture (30 items, α = 0.91), LMS-based classroom management (28 items, α = 0.89), and learning concentration (30 items, α = 0.93) were measured with validated instruments. The results demonstrate that the effect of academic quality culture on learning concentration (β = 0.34, p < 0.01) and LMS-based classroom management (β = 0.52, p < 0.01) is direct for both types of effects in this model LMS-based classroom management has a positive impact on learning concentration (β = 0.41, p < 0.01), which partially mediates the relationship between academic quality culture and learning concentration (indirect effect = 0.213, p < 0.01). The variance explained in learning concentration is 58.6% by the model. The results indicate that developing a high-quality academic culture promotes student attention directly and indirectly as well, by enhancing pedagogical management via LMS. Implication of this study contributes an innovative integrative framework connecting institutional quality culture, classroom management, cognitif learning outcomes, and student learning concentration at higher education in Indonesia.

Abstract

The "Digital Barbarian Society" phenomenon occurs when Indonesian society suffers moral degradation in its activities on social media. Contradicts Indonesian society's culture, which highly values politeness and moderation. This normative legal research emphasizes philosophical, conceptual, and legislative approaches. The research findings confirm that the phenomenon of "Digital Barbarian Society" in Indonesia, particularly on social media, is triggered by a combination of factors such as the rapid development of digital technology without adequate digital literacy and ethics, the digital access gap, socio-psychological pressure, and the widespread dissemination of misinformation and hoaxes that lead to rudeness and chaos in cyberspace. From a legal philosophy perspective, the effort to regulate must go beyond mere punishment by emphasizing the formation of ethical awareness and the internalization of digital civility values rooted in society's legal culture. The ratification of the new Criminal Code and the revision of the ITE Law provide a more relevant and responsive legal basis for digital dynamics by balancing freedom of expression and the protection of public rights. Legal philosophy serves as the moral and social foundation that guides the application of digital law to achieve comprehensive digital justice and ethics

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media film animasi dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar santri pada pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI) di Aisyiyah Qur’anic Boarding School. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental tipe one group pre-test post-test, di mana subjek penelitian berjumlah 20 santri yang seluruhnya dijadikan sampel. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji linearitas, uji paired sample t-test, dan uji N-Gain dengan bantuan program SPSS 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar santri setelah penggunaan media film animasi, ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan nilai rata-rata pre-test ke post-test pada dua tahap pengukuran serta nilai signifikansi uji paired sample t-test yang lebih kecil dari 0,05, sehingga perbedaan hasil belajar dinyatakan signifikan. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa penggunaan media film animasi terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam pada santri Aisyiyah Qur’anic Boarding School.

Abstract

Background The convergence of educational transformation, technological advancement, and the preservation of ethical values presents a significant challenge for higher education institutions, particularly in delivering Islamic economics education that remains faithful to its foundational principles amidst the Society 5.0 era. Purpose This study investigates the convergence of educational management strategies, technology-enhanced pedagogy, and Islamic economics principles within Indonesian higher education institutions to understand how digital transformation reshapes the pedagogical ecosystem of Islamic economics education. Design/method/approach Employing an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design combining quantitative surveys (n = 387) and qualitative semi-structured interviews (n = 24) across six Islamic higher education institutions, the research examines the relationships between digital transformation and educational outcomes in Islamic economics. Results The quantitative findings reveal that technology-integrated educational management significantly predicts student learning outcomes in Islamic economics (β = 0.47, p < .001) and sharia financial literacy (β = 0.39, p < .001). Structural equation modeling indicates that digital pedagogical competence mediates 34.2% of the variance in student engagement with Islamic finance concepts. Qualitative thematic analysis identifies four emergent themes: institutional readiness for digital transformation; alignment of the curriculum with Islamic values and technological innovation; the role of learning management systems in fostering sharia-compliant understanding of financial matters; and stakeholder perceptions of technology-mediated Islamic economics instruction. Contribution/value The study proposes an integrative Triple Helix framework, Educational Management, Educational Technology, and Islamic Economics (EM-ET-IE), offering a novel theoretical contribution for designing sustainable, value-based digital learning ecosystems. These findings carry significant implications for policymakers, educational administrators, and curriculum designers seeking to reimagine Islamic economics education while preserving its foundational ethical principles.

Abstract

Background: The challenge of sustaining young students' motivation for Qur'anic memorization in integrated Islamic educational settings remains underexplored, particularly regarding institutional strategies within pesantren-based elementary schools. Purpose: This study aims to explore the strategies employed by pesantren caretakers to enhance Qur'anic memorization (tahfidz) motivation among students at MI Pesantren Anak Sholeh Baitul Qur'an Gontor, Ponorogo, East Java. Design/method/approach: Drawing on a qualitative case study design, data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with seven informants including the school principal, tahfidz coordinators, tahfidz teachers, parents, and students supplemented by participant observation and documentary analysis. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, involving data condensation, display, and conclusion drawing. Results: The findings reveal four principal motivational strategies systematically implemented by the pesantren caretakers: (1) the Tahfidz Excellent Group, which cultivates pride and healthy competition; (2) Financial Incentive Awards for students exceeding memorization targets; (3) Munaqosyah examinations and Hubbul Qur'an graduation ceremonies involving parental participation; and (4) Tahfidz Camp as a supplementary immersive program. These strategies generate tangible motivational outcomes, including heightened memorization consistency, strengthened self-discipline, robust parental engagement, and positive behavioral changes both within the school and home environments. Contribution/value: This study contributes to the growing body of scholarship on Islamic educational management by illuminating how institutional-level motivational architecture within pesantren settings can effectively sustain young learners' commitment to Qur'anic memorization.

Abstract

The digital era has exacerbated challenges in moral education for the younger generation, creating a need for innovative and effective learning media. This study examines the process of internalizing noble moral values ​​akhlakul karimah in children through the medium of religious drama cinema, focusing specifically on the film “Merindu Cahaya de Amstel”. The research aims to identify the Islamic moral values ​​manifested in the film's narrative and to analyze their relevance to the development of contemporary Islamic education in Indonesia. A qualitative research approach was employed, utilizing hermeneutics and content analysis. Data collection involved the systematic observation of scenes and character dialogue, reinforced by triangulation through a comprehensive review of Islamic ethics literature. The findings identify five fundamental moral values—honesty, patience, responsibility, compassion, and humility—represented through the spiritual journey of the protagonist, Khadijah, as she navigates various social challenges. The study affirms that religious drama cinema serves as a potent pedagogical medium for facilitating the internalization of character values ​​by presenting them within contextual and inspiring narratives. The research highlights the urgent need to integrate film media into formal and informal educational frameworks to cultivate a generation that is not only morally steadfast but also capable of adapting to the complexities of the modern era.
