Abstract

We can rule the role of mothers today out for their role in domestic life. Mothers have been able to sustain family sustainability, especially in the economic field. Mothers can only wait at home and stand by and wait for their husbands, but they can play a greater role in supporting the economic needs of their families. But the question is whether mothers already have the skills to help support their family's economic needs? Based on this background, the authors conducted skills training for mothers, especially those who joined the PKK group by teaching ice cream making skills. In this article, we will discuss the training that will be given starting with the basic introduction, equipment, processing, packaging process so that they can sell to get profits for them. The training that takes place in the Ketupat Samarinda village across from this can later be expected by the mothers after the training will have the skills and can apply it at home so that it can help the family economy

Abstract

Gorontalo is a transit city for foreign tourists that will continue their trip to Togean islands, or for tourists coming from Togean islands that will continue the trip to Manado, Makassar, or Jakarta. Foreign tourists who opt to transit in Gorontalo prefer non-star hotels as their accommodation option. The present study integrated a qualitative and a simple quantitative method as the research design. The data were directly collected by field observation; questionnaires distributed to the tourists were employed to collect the main data, while the supporting data were extracted by interview and documentation. As based on the findings, the backpackers’ needs for basic tangible goods involve food three times a day, a heat pump water heater, and laundry service. In accommodating the needs, the hotels can cooperate with third parties, particularly regarding food three times a day and laundry service. Moreover, the intangible service-oriented needs comprise empathy, reliability, responsiveness, and assurance. As based on the questionnaire, the respondents showed good responses and suggested improvements in several aspects, particularly on the intangible needs.

Abstract

The Geosite Area of Gorontalo Evaluated Using Quantitative Descriptive Research Method for Tourism Preparedness Post-COVID-19" The Gorontalo geosite area was evaluated using a quantitative descriptive research method in this study to determine its readiness to host tourism after COVID-19. Changes in the attitudes and behaviours of tourists have occurred as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic, significantly impacting the domestic and international tourism environment. The objective of this research is to gain an understanding of the factors motivating tourists, classify various forms of tourism, and observe specific geosites in Gorontalo based on official designations. Different local attitudes towards the "new normal tourism" are crucial factors in the highlighted destination preparation differences presented in the conclusions. Despite the economic considerations influencing the continuous implementation of health protocols, the government, local communities, and businesses must collaborate towards achieving optimal and sustainable tourism recovery
