Abstract

This study investigates the teaching strategies implemented at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 3 Banjarmasin to enhance students' ability to read the Qur'an. Employing a qualitative research approach, the study utilizes descriptive methods to analyze how these strategies are executed within the classroom setting. Primary data were gathered through structured observations and in-depth teacher interviews, supplemented by a literature review to contrast current findings with established pedagogical practices. This comprehensive approach aimed to provide a nuanced understanding of the instructional methodologies, their implementation, and the contextual factors affecting their efficacy. The findings indicate combining traditional and contemporary teaching strategies significantly improves students' Qur'anic reading abilities. Repetitive recitation and group readings are pivotal in fostering phonetic skills and memorization. At the same time, incorporating digital tools and visual aids enhances engagement and aids in understanding complex Tajweed rules. Role-playing exercises have also proven to boost students' confidence and interactive learning. However, challenges such as inconsistent student engagement levels, limited technological resources, and large class sizes have been identified as substantial obstacles. These issues highlight the need for continued institutional support and resource allocation to optimize the effectiveness of teaching strategies and ensure comprehensive learning outcomes for all students.

Abstract

The moral crisis and the rise of materialism among students indicate a gap in Islamic education, particularly in shaping spiritual character. This study aims to examine the internalization of Sufi (tasawuf) values in the teaching of Aqidah Akhlak at Madrasah Aliyah Normal Islam Putera Rasyidiyah Khalidiyah Amuntai. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and analysis of learning documents. The findings reveal that Sufi values such as sincerity (ikhlas), patience (sabar), trust in God (tawakal), and detachment from materialism (zuhud) are effectively integrated through reflective learning, teacher role modeling, and the strengthening of the school’s spiritual culture. The internalization process primarily occurs through the hidden curriculum, which is manifested in daily routines and the school's religious atmosphere, rather than through formal instruction. This study highlights the transformative potential of the Sufi approach in shaping students’ moral and spiritual character holistically. Through the application of Sufi values, the madrasah serves not only as an educational institution but also as a spiritual training ground that fosters self-awareness, sincerity, and closeness to Allah SWT within students.

Abstract

This study examines the pattern of religious moderation (Wasatiyyah and Tawazun) among the Dayak Meratus Muslim convert (mualaf) family in Paramasan District , a multi-religious area. Converts maintain strong kinship ties and live harmoniously with non-Muslim family members, practicing high tolerance and social values. They actively assist in community preparations and customary ceremonies of other religions through collective work (gotong royong) and providing aid, while maintaining religious boundaries by avoiding sacred rituals. Supporting factors for this moderation include the shared Dayak tribe and open-mindedness. Inhibiting factors are the economic, educational, and accessibility issues for routine religious guidance.
