Abstract

Learning in the listening aspect is still difficult for middle and upper level students. This is a consequence of weak vocabulary, structure, and speaking skills. Comprehensive listening skills are often complained by some students. It needs improvement and learning innovation in the current century. This study aimed to determine whether there was an increase in learning outcomes after utilizing youtube as a learning media, how big the impact was and how the learning process using you tube media was. This study used an experimental method of pretest and posttest only. Respondents were 35 students of SMP Alikhlas class VI Bekasi. The data were taken from the test before and after being given treatment using YouTube media. The data were processed with SPSS 20 and then tested for normality and homogeneity first, then processed using a paired sample test. The results showed that there was an increase of 12.2941. The use of youtube improved listening skills. Utilizing Youtube included looking for material/information, watching and listening to material, analyzing and distributing material to students and teachers. The recommendation was that teachers could try to provide the widest possible time and space for students to improve their abilities independently, including using YouTube in learning. Consistent evaluation and supervision is the key to the success of learning using youtube media.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the grammatical elements in the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk by Ahmad Tohari. The grammatical elements taken are all elements of the conjunction. This research uses qualitative methods, because qualitative research is the most suitable research with literary phenomena. Analysis techniques (Content Analysis) are also used for discourse related to the content of novel discourse, both verbally and nonverbally; Verbal discourse in this study is a novel in which the total content of the discourse is meant. The complete sample of the contents of the Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk novel text is to use a sample of 2 stories from 3 stories. Each story the author will take 15 paragraphs for analysis. With a total of 30 paragraphs. Grammatical on the conjunction aspect shows the percentage of the use of grammatical cohesion in the conjunction aspect as many as 62 pairs of sentences or 60.78%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan media scrabbled mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa SMP. Yang kedua untuk menjelaskan proses pembelajaran yang menggunakana media scrabbled. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya minat dan minimnys kemampuan menulis siswa SMP. Selain itu perlunya guru untuk menggunakan media pembelajaran yang efesien dan tepat bgi par siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Responden dari 3 SMP yang ada di kabupaten Bogor. Jumlah responden sebanyak 94 siswa. Hasil peneltiian ini adanya peningkatan nilai pada siklus 2 dan 3. Nilai kenaikan total sebesar 8 poin.  Disamping itu siswa lebih percaya diri dan cepat membentuk kalimat –kalimat yang berisikan teks ekplanasi. Proses pembelajaran diawali dengan proses pembukaan, inti dan penutup. Pembelajaran dengan media scrabbled dapat membentuk dari sebuah kata menjadi sebuak alinea yang baik.  Bagi para guru dianjurkan dapat mengembangkan media lain yang sejenis atau yang berbeda. Pembelajaran ini memerlukan persiapan yang harus dilakukan seperti menyiapkan media, waktu dan bimbingan yang terarah.

Abstract

Learning the Indonesian language and literature still needs to be optimal. Learning needs to get the attention of teachers and educational observers. Good learning makes students happy and comfortable and gets optimal learning results. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning in class X high school students with poetry material. The method used is an experimental method with the type of pretest-posttest. Respondents who participated in the study were 42 students. Research activities were carried out from January to March 2019. The study's results stated an increase of 4.7464 when students used cooperative learning. The learning process begins with forming groups and interactions between students and teachers. This method can provide added value before and after using the method.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the level of competence of teachers as teachers in schools. Because, teacher competence is very important in carrying out their duties and profession as teaching staff. A teacher who has competence in his profession will be able to carry out his duties properly and effectively, efficiently and on target. The research method used is quantitative research and this type of research uses descriptive statistical analysis. The method of collecting primary data is from filling out questionnaires by teacher respondents and secondary data comes from school report data. Based on the results of the total indicators of each competency have different results. The teacher's personality competence at SMP N 20 Depok has the highest average and belongs to the good category, namely 4.15 and the teacher's pedagogic competence has an average of 3.89. Meanwhile, the professional competence of teachers has an average of 3.96 and the social competence of teachers is quite low, namely 3.63. This proves that the social level of teachers still needs to be improved to match what is expected

Abstract

Literature learning in schools is still inadequate. This is caused by the content of literature only as a complement to Indonesian language subjects and several other obstacles, such as learning methods in the classroom that are not yet optimal. The purpose of this study is firstly to find out what values are contained in the Gawai Dayak tradition of the Kantu tribe' and secondly to make the Gawai Dayak tradition a literary subject for high school students. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. Respondents in this study were 1 village head, 2 cultural observers, 1 head of an art studio, and 6 Kantu' Dayak people. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data is selected, then presented and verified and conclusions are drawn. The validity of the data used triangulation method. There are cultural values, religious/religious values, and solidarity values. The revitalization of traditions is carried out by making textbooks containing the Gawai Dayak tradition and mantras as local literature that needs to be preserved.
