Abstract

Objective: This study aims to develop a local wisdom-based learning model through sugarcane bagasse cracker innovation to enhance elementary students’ social competence and economic independence. Novelty: This research integrates local wisdom with product-based learning using sugarcane bagasse as an innovative medium to promote sustainability, entrepreneurship, and social skills in primary education. Methods: This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) design adapted from the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants were elementary school students and teachers. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, expert validation sheets, and performance assessments, and analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative techniques. Results: The findings indicate that the developed learning model is valid, practical, and effective. Expert validation results show high feasibility, while implementation demonstrates significant improvements in students’ social competence—such as collaboration, communication, and responsibility—as well as their economic independence reflected in entrepreneurial awareness and basic production skills. Conclusion: The developed model is effective in integrating local wisdom and life skills, contributing to meaningful and contextual learning in elementary education.

Abstract

Zakat has increasingly been recognized as a strategic Islamic economic instrument for poverty alleviation and social welfare development. However, the effectiveness of zakat in improving the economic conditions of mustahik remains inconsistent due to complex interactions among institutional, psychological, and economic factors. Despite extensive studies on zakat distribution and poverty reduction, few have examined the structural relationships among these factors using a comprehensive quantitative approach. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the determinants of successful zakat utilization in alleviating poverty. This study employs a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to examine the relationships among key variables influencing zakat program effectiveness. The sample consists of 258 mustahik who participated in productive zakat programs in West Java, Indonesia. Data were collected via structured questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed with AMOS. The results indicate that the proposed model demonstrates an acceptable level of goodness-of-fit, with values of CMIN/DF = 2.551, CFI = 0.902, TLI = 0.887, and RMSEA = 0.078. The findings reveal that organizational support significantly influences education, motivation, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment, while education and motivation significantly contribute to economic empowerment. Furthermore, economic empowerment directly contributes to poverty alleviation, suggesting that productive zakat programs can generate sustainable welfare improvements when supported by robust institutional mechanisms. These findings suggest that zakat institutions should strengthen capacity-building programs, entrepreneurial mentoring, and integrated empowerment strategies to enhance the long-term effectiveness of zakat in alleviating poverty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of inflation and exchange rates on the money supply in Indonesia and to identify the short-term and long-term relationships among these variables. A country’s economic stability is inextricably linked to the dynamics of inflation, exchange rates, and the money supply, which are interrelated within the economic system. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from Bank Indonesia and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for the period 2020-2024. The analysis method used is the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, as it is capable of estimating both short-term and long-term relationships simultaneously within a single model. The results indicate a long-term relationship among inflation, exchange rates, and the money supply. Partially, the exchange rate has a positive and significant effect on the money supply in Indonesia. This suggests that changes in the exchange rate particularly when the rupiah depreciates can drive increased liquidity in the economy through monetary policy mechanisms and international trade activities. Meanwhile, inflation does not have a significant effect on the money supply in the short term. This indicates that changes in inflation during the study period did not directly influence money supply policy due to the inflation control policies implemented by Bank Indonesia. Thus, exchange rate stability is a critical factor that must be considered in maintaining monetary equilibrium and national economic stability.
