Abstract

The development of information technology, especially social media, has dramatically changed the journalism landscape. This study aims to analyze changes in the work process of journalists and news distribution and their implications for information integrity. Using a qualitative case study methodology with a narrative analysis approach, this research collected data through in-depth interviews with journalists and content analysis of news reports published on social media. The results indicate a significant shift in news gathering, filtering, and presentation, where speed often precedes depth of analysis. This suggests that social media has caused a change from investigative journalism to instant journalism that emphasizes speed over depth. The findings highlight a decline in fact verification and an increased risk of spreading inaccurate information. Based on these results, this study recommends developing stricter ethical guidelines and training for journalists in handling the pressures of news distribution on social media, as well as implementing new technologies that can support real-time verification of facts to strengthen the integrity of information.

Abstract

This study explores the enhancement of oil and gas products through laboratory-scale manual formulations to address quality, efficiency, and environmental sustainability challenges. It focuses on biodiesel blends (B10, B30, and B50) and used lubricants treated with citric acid to reduce heavy metal content. The research identifies key functional components in biodiesel that improve combustion efficiency and lower greenhouse gas emissions. Simultaneously, the addition of citric acid in used lubricants aims to reduce metal concentrations, enhancing the potential for recycling and reuse. The results indicate that increasing biodiesel content significantly improves environmental performance and reduces reliance on fossil fuels, though water and sulfur content require strict monitoring to maintain product stability. In used lubricants, the application of citric acid demonstrates varied effectiveness, reducing specific metals like magnesium but increasing others such as calcium and zinc, posing challenges for consistent metal reduction. This study concludes that combining manual formulations and chemical treatments provides valuable insights into optimizing oil and gas products. It emphasizes the need for careful control of component levels to meet quality standards and environmental regulations. The findings suggest that refining the application of citric acid could further enhance its effectiveness in minimizing harmful metal concentrations, supporting sustainable and eco-friendly practices in the oil and gas sector.

Abstract

This research focuses on product inventory management at Herbamart Store, a wholesale herbal medicine purchase center in South Jakarta. Currently, inventory control is done manually, which is not optimal and results in losses. The purpose of this research is to create a product inventory control management information system with the Economic Quantity Order (EOQ) method and a web-based application with an early warning system. The results showed that the optimal order quantity for various products can be determined by the EOQ method. The store also needs to provide safety stock and place a reorder when the remaining inventory reaches a certain amount. This research successfully designed a product control information system application using the web-based EOQ method tailored for Herbamart Stores. This application is designed to assist Herbamart Stores in optimizing their business processes, improving efficiency, and increasing profitability. This application can also help minimize the total cost of ordering and storing goods, thus contributing to reducing operational costs and improving overall efficiency. Keywords: Inventory Management, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Management Information System, Early Warning System, Toko Herbamart.

Abstract

This research underscores the diversity and strategic significance of IT Strategy components in shaping the digital transformation and competitive edge of ICT companies. The formulation of IT Strategy documents is pivotal for industries, including ICT companies, as it ensures alignment with business goals and competitive positioning. This study conducts a comprehensive literature review of IT Strategy components within global ICT companies, specifically those specializing in telecommunication network infrastructure. Despite operating within the same sector, each company’s IT Strategy document comprises distinct components. The identified components include Auditor Report, Business Strategy, Leadership, Product/Service Line, Geographic Performance, Research & Development, Partnership & Acquisition, Summary Report, Corporate Governance, Vision & Mission, Financial Statement, Industry Trends, and Business Highlights.  These components are essential for aiding the organization’s IT Strategic Plan and the creation of the company's roadmap. Furthermore, this study identifies PESTLE analysis and the Ansoff Matrix as crucial tools in creating strategic roadmaps tailored to each company’s unique objectives and market conditions.

Abstract

An Integrity Zone is an activity related to government policies and efforts to create an environment free from corruption, collusion, and nepotism (KKN). The Integrity Zone aims to encourage transparency, accountability, and clean practices in the management of a bureaucracy. To further the success of this Integrity Zone, a Agent of Change was formed who acts as a Role Model for all parties. As a role model, agents of change must be able to provide examples in attitude, behavior, and thinking. In addition, they must be able to provide creative solutions in dealing with problems in their agencies. And must be able to provide creative ideas to improve the performance of all parties. Sometimes, their ideas are not well documented. So a digital-based system is needed that can facilitate the work of these agents of change. For this reason, it is necessary to create a Web-based application for recording, reporting, and implementing change agent performance so that it is more optimal, efficient, and effective. In this study, the development of web-based applications using a framework with PHP-Native technology. Most PHP frameworks that exist today, use MVC and OOP technology but no one has utilized PHP-Native technology as a framework. This aims to facilitate the creation of applications for programmers who have not familiar with MVC or OOP concept.

Abstract

This research aims to provide a deeper understanding of the usability aspects of information systems, as well as help create more effective and efficient solutions in supporting academic activities in higher education. The ITB STIKOM Bali, Lecturer Information System (Sistem Informasi Dosen/ SID) is a system developed to assist lecturers in carrying out their academic responsibilities. This system has become a very vital tool in supporting various academic activities of lecturers. This research will be conducted using the Concurrent Think Aloud (CTA) method, Performance Measurement, and System Usability Scale (SUS) to assess effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction of the system. The system was found effective, with a success rate exceeding 78%. Advanced users achieved a 95% success rate, while beginner users achieved 86%, with errors primarily in navigation-related tasks. User satisfaction analysis via SUS showed skilled users rated the system at 84.75 (Grade A, Acceptable), whilst beginner respondents scored 52.5 (Grades D, Marginal Low), reflecting usability challenges for beginners. Performance Measurement highlighted issues with small font sizes and unclear navigation, while CTA identified difficulties with the logout button, lack of search functionality, unreadable interface text, and unclear functional position menus. Recommendations include increasing font size to Arial 14, redesigning the logout button, adding search bars, and enhancing functional menus to include research and community service options. These improvements aim to enhance system usability and user experience across all proficiency levels.
