Abstract

There are many campuses in the city of Medan that can be used as a place for anyone to study. But not all campuses have good quality and ranking. For this reason, it is necessary to know which campuses have the best rankings. In this article, it is a publication of ongoing research that the author has conducted on the ranking of campuses or colleges in the city of Medan by applying methods to the Decision Support System. And in this article, the author makes a slight modification using the Majority Vote method which is part of the Bagging in the Random Forest Classification at the stage of determining weighting with the main method being Weighted Product (WP). The purpose of this modification is to see the results displayed in determining whether the campus ranking gives optimal results or not. After the analysis and calculations were carried out, the result was that modifying the weighting process using the Majority Vote could provide optimal and varied results in solving the problem of ranking campuses in the city of Medan. And in the future, modifications can use other methods or equations and compare the results given.

Abstract

In securing a message, especially digital messages, a technique or algorithm is needed in the field of cryptography. Where cryptography itself is a scientific field in informatics and computer science that discusses and learns about securing a secret message. One of the algorithms or in cryptography is called a Cipher, which can be used to secure secret messages, namely RCCM. RCCM or Rivest Cipher 4 base on Chaotic Mapping is a development of RC4 which combines it with the Chaotic Map technique. RC4 itself is a cryptographic algorithm that belongs to the Stream Cipher. In the process of securing messages on RC4, key generation is carried out using KSA (Key Scheduling Algorithms) and PRGA (Pseudo-Random Generation Algorithm) which are processed based on the key entered by the user to produce a keystream. The keystream itself consists of a series of random numbers, each of which will be exclusive or (XOR) to the plaintext that produces the ciphertext. By applying the Chaotic Map, inputting the key by the user is not necessary. And for implementation, you can use Python programming and are GUI-based using the help of the Tkinter library.

Abstract

Higher Education is an Education unit that organizes Higher Education. There are 5 main components in the ranking of tertiary institutions, namely the quality of Human Resources (HR), Institutional Quality, Student Affairs Quality, Publication Quality, Research and Community Service, and Innovation Quality. These components must be realized by each tertiary institution as a condition for improving the quality of a tertiary institution. Based on the main components of tertiary institutions, multiple linear regression analysis will be applied. The purpose of this research is to look at the main components that have a dominant influence on university rankings and the major influence of each component on university rankings. From the analysis results obtained multiple linear regression model with a multiple determination coefficient value of 84.26%. This value is quite large in explaining the influence of the 5 main components of higher education in ranking. Keywords: Ranking, College, Multiple Linear Regression, Simultaneous Test, Partial Test.

Abstract

Dewasa ini perkembangan teknologi semakin pesat. Dimana mengharuskan kita untuk mengikuti perkembangan teknologi tersebut. Salah satu contohnya adalah perkembangan media pembelajaran dari guru untuk siswa. Seorang guru harus memberikan bahan ajar yang mudah dipahami siswa dan menarik. Bahan ajar sangat memengaruhi hasil pembelajaran dari siswa. Semakin berbobot bahan ajar yang dibuat, maka akan menghasilkan kualitas yang baik bagi siswa. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya pelatihan terhadap guru mengenai bahan ajar berbasis komputer dengan menggunakan Microsoft Office Power Point 2010. Hal ini diharapkan guru dapat mempraktikkan hasil dari mengikuti pelatihan untuk kesuksesan pendidikan. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini telah mampu memberikan manfaat yang sangat besar dan tepat sasaran khalayak bagi siswa di Smart Learning Center Tanjung Morawa. Penggunaan aplikasi Microsoft Office 2010 berupa Microsoft Word dan powerpoint, para siswa dapat dengan mudah mengikuti materi pelatihan yang telah diberikan, terlihat dari efektifitas dan tingkat kesulitan pengenalan aplikasi baru yang tidak terlalu memberatkan bagi para peserta pelatihan. Para siswa sangat tertarik dan antusias dengan diadakannya pelatihan ini, sehingga dapat mengikuti perkembangan dunia Teknologi dan dapat mengembang metode pengajarannya.

Abstract

Throughout Indonesia, including Medan, the popularity of a university can be specified by the ranking of a university. There are five assessment components which important for ranking universities under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, Technology and Higher Education, such as the Quality of Human Resources, Institutional Quality, Quality of Student Activities, Quality of Research and Community Service, and Quality of Innovation. Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) is one of the decision support system (DSS) methods that can be used to calculate campus rankings. However, the researcher were determining the weight of MAUT method based on their preferences and it was subjective. Weight of Evidence (WoE) can be used to assign a numerical score to each category of independent variables that describes the strength of its relationship to the target variable. In selecting the independent variable that is most informative and relevant in predicting the target variable, Information Value (IV) can be used. Based on the results, college B is the most popular university out of ten universities in Medan, with the highest evaluation value 0.796296296 using MAUT method and 0.923794719 using MAUT method with WoE & IV. The last position is J college with the lowest evaluation value 0.1666666667 for MAUT method and 0.02540176 for MAUT method with WoE & IV. The weighting of MAUT method with WoE and IV produces more optimal evaluation value than the the original MAUT method.

Abstract

The E-Report application information system is a system that can assist and facilitate users in creating performance reports for a company. In this study, a web-based e-report system was developed and designed for digital reporting by field employees at PT. In this study, a web-based e-report system was developed and designed for digital reporting by field employees at PT. Cipto Sarana Nusantara, which specifically operates in the gas pipeline installation sector. Previously, the company generated field worker performance reports through manual systems, in the form of hard copies or sent via chat applications. This led to poorly organized reports received by administrators. To address this issue, the author developed E-Report, a web-based application that aims to facilitate field workers and administrators in submitting and collecting reports. By utilizing this system, reporting performance significantly improves in terms of reporting speed, accuracy, and ease. Furthermore, this system enables the generation of daily, monthly, and yearly reports more efficiently and effectively.

Abstract

Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, terlihat bahwa saat ini penggunaan komputer dalam proses pembelajaran terbatas pada penggunaan PowerPoint. Para guru mata pelajaran matematika menghadapi tantangan dalam menciptakan materi dan alat bantu pembelajaran yang efektif. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, salah satu solusi yang diusulkan adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi Geogebra kepada guru-guru matematika. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru terkait peran media pembelajaran dalam pembelajaran matematika dan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan serta keterampilan mereka dalam memanfaatkan media pembelajaran virtual (mathlet) yang interaktif dan efektif. Pendekatan yang akan diterapkan dalam pelatihan ini mencakup beberapa tahap, seperti observasi langsung, wawancara, presentasi, dan sesi tanya jawab. Diharapkan bahwa hasil dari pelatihan ini akan membawa berbagai manfaat, termasuk peningkatan kualitas proses pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan pengetahuan yang diperoleh dalam pelatihan, peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam berkreasi dan berinovasi dalam merancang pembelajaran, pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang media pembelajaran virtual, keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan aplikasi Geogebra untuk membuat media pembelajaran virtual, serta kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan materi visual, bahan ajar, dan instrumen penilaian yang relevan dengan materi aljabar dan geometri.

Abstract

Nowadays, increasingly rapid technological developments encourage learning progress. However, the method still used remains the same, namely using textbooks and modules. Actually, this method is quite good because the learning system is more technical and structured. In reality, what happens is the opposite, because the increasingly rapid development of technology makes children lazy to read books and more interested in playing games on smartphones. So there is no interest in children learning. Therefore, the author took the initiative to create an interactive and efficient learning media application that can be accessed from a smartphone. It is hoped that this application can increase children's desire to learn starting from an early age, especially at the Coastal Children's Education Center (REDAKSI). The application created is a Reading, Writing and Counting (calistung) learning application aimed at children under the age of ten. This application was created using Unity and contains several learning menus in the application.

Abstract

Analisis survival adalah metode statistik untuk mempelajari waktu hingga terjadinya peristiwa tertentu, seperti waktu sembuh dari penyakit, yang dalam penelitian ini diterapkan pada pasien dispepsia di Kota Aceh dengan dimempergunakan metode Kaplan-Meier dan Uji Log Rank. Fokusnya mengestimasi fungsi survival pasien, mengetahui masa penyembuhan pasien Dispepsia di kota Aceh, serta mengevaluasi perbedaan signifikan dalam fungsi survival berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan usia. Informasi yang dianalisis merupakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari Dinas Kesehatan Kota Aceh. Temuan penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa estimasi fungsi survival pasien dispepsia kota Aceh dengan mengikuti rumus S(t) = (1 – F(t)) x , dengan median waktu sembuh di Aceh Tamiang adalah 4 hari. Waktu sembuh pasien perempuan berusia <50 tahun (kurang dari usia 50 tahun) memiliki waktu sembuh dengan median 12 hari, sedangkan untuk waktu sembuh pasien laki-laki berusia <50 tahun (kurang dari usia 50 tahun) memiliki "Rata-rata waktu penyembuhannya adalah 7 hari. Pasien Perempuan dengan rentang usia >50 tahun (lebih dari 50 tahun) memiliki median waktu sembuh 5 hari sedangkan pasien laki-laki berusia >50 tahun (lebih dari usia 50 tahun) dengan median masa pemulihan berlangsung selama 4 hari. Uji log rank mengindikasikan bahwa perbedaan signifikan tidak ditemukan dalam fungsi survival antara pasien berusia di bawah dan di atas 50 tahun (p = 0,6), yang berarti usia tidak memengaruhi secara signifikan waktu pemulihan pasien dispepsia.

Abstract

An Integrity Zone is an activity related to government policies and efforts to create an environment free from corruption, collusion, and nepotism (KKN). The Integrity Zone aims to encourage transparency, accountability, and clean practices in the management of a bureaucracy. To further the success of this Integrity Zone, a Agent of Change was formed who acts as a Role Model for all parties. As a role model, agents of change must be able to provide examples in attitude, behavior, and thinking. In addition, they must be able to provide creative solutions in dealing with problems in their agencies. And must be able to provide creative ideas to improve the performance of all parties. Sometimes, their ideas are not well documented. So a digital-based system is needed that can facilitate the work of these agents of change. For this reason, it is necessary to create a Web-based application for recording, reporting, and implementing change agent performance so that it is more optimal, efficient, and effective. In this study, the development of web-based applications using a framework with PHP-Native technology. Most PHP frameworks that exist today, use MVC and OOP technology but no one has utilized PHP-Native technology as a framework. This aims to facilitate the creation of applications for programmers who have not familiar with MVC or OOP concept.
