Abstract

Daily census reporting is something carried out by hospitals to describe the achievements of inpatient service quality indicators. Based on Minister of Health Regulation Number 1171 of 2011 concerning Hospital Information Systems, it is stated that the daily inpatient census is included in the Recapitulation Report 3 reporting regarding inpatient service activity data. Based on a preliminary study conducted at the Klungkung Regional General Hospital, it is known that the implementation of the daily census uses a manual system, causing several problems, namely late reporting of daily records, frequent recording errors, loss of daily census forms and lack of flexibility in filling them out. Therefore, a simple Spreadsheet-based information system innovation (Si-Sehari) is needed to overcome problems that arise during the implementation of the daily census. This research was carried out to determine the stages and process of implementing a simple Spreadsheet-based information system design (Si- Sehari) for the daily inpatient census at Klungkung Regency Regional Hospital. The method used is quasi-experimental with the development method being the waterfall method. With the development of Si-Sehari, there are good implications for the implementation of inpatient service reporting. All users stated that using this information system provides convenience in its implementation including easy access, flexible filling and changing of data, easy search for data, cost efficient and effective in use. Thus, the use of the Si-Sehari Spreadsheet system improves the quality of hospital services, especially reporting to hospital management in real time.

Abstract

The placement of teachers in Indonesia has not been evenly distributed across several regions due to inaccurate recruitment and placement processes. The quality of education, particularly in rural areas, is negatively impacted by this uneven distribution. Teachers play a crucial role in enhancing education, making it essential to address this issue. This study seeks to equilibrate the allocation of teachers in Langsa City using the K-Means Clustering method based on the number of teachers, students, and study groups at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Madrasah Tsanawiyah, and Madrasah Aliyah levels. The clustering results are then mapped using the Quantum Geographic Information System. The study identifies 20 schools with a shortage of teachers, 7 schools with sufficient teachers, and 3 schools with a surplus. The utilization of the K-Means Clustering method demonstrated a high accuracy rate of 92.8%. The implications of these findings suggest that educational authorities can use the clustering results to strategically address teacher shortages by reallocating teaching resources more effectively, thus potentially improving educational outcomes in underserved areas. Moreover, the GIS mapping offers a practical tool for ongoing monitoring and decision-making regarding teacher distribution.

Abstract

Requirements engineering is a crucial phase in software development. In theory, requirements gathering should follow structured and systematic steps to ensure all requirements are complete, consistent, and clear. However, there is a lack of research in real-world contexts, particularly in small and medium-sized software development organizations, which often face challenges related to human resources, infrastructure, and financial constraints. This study aims to explore the practices of requirements engineering in software development agencies. A qualitative approach was used, employing a narrative (descriptive) research design. Data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation from six institutions involved in developing various types of software. The data were then analyzed using Yin's Five Cycle content analysis method, supported by Nvivo 12 software. The findings reveal that the time required for gathering requirements varies between institutions (four institutions take 1 week to 1 month, two take 1 to 3 months, and two take over 3 months). Regarding the analysts' backgrounds, all institutions consider requirements elicitation a critical stage in software development, leading them to hire analysts with IT educational backgrounds, most of whom possess significant work experience. This is further evidenced by the fact that all institutions consider staff experience when forming requirements analysis teams and assigning senior staff to specific roles. There is limited practical variation in the sources of requirements and elicitation techniques. All institutions rely on objectives, domain knowledge, stakeholders, and the operational environment as sources of requirements. As for elicitation techniques, they primarily use interviews, facilitated meetings, and document reviews.

Abstract

Vocational High Schools face several issues related to the facilities and infrastructure of the practical room for the Building Modeling and Information Design Expertise Program (DPIB), such as a lack of adequate drawing tables and uncomfortable, hot room conditions, which reduce student comfort. Additionally, supporting equipment such as cleaning tools and safety equipment (K3) are insufficient, and the maintenance of facilities is not carried out optimally. These conditions hinder the effectiveness of the learning process and do not meet the national standards set by Permendikbud Number 34 of 2018.This study aims to evaluate the adequacy of facilities and infrastructure in the practical room of the Building Modeling and Information Design Expertise Program (DPIB) at SMK Negeri 1 Lintau Buo, based on the standards outlined in Permendikbud Number 34 of 2018. The evaluation focuses on equipment completeness, the physical condition of the practice room, and other supporting facilities used for learning activities. The research employs an evaluative method with a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with school officials, and documentation of the existing facilities. The results indicate deficiencies in the quality of the drawing tables and the uncomfortable condition of the practice room, both of which could potentially hinder the achievement of national education standards. This research is expected to provide valuable input for the school to improve its facilities and infrastructure to support more effective and efficient learning activities in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Management Information Systems (MIS) in supporting digital transformation and enhancing organizational performance in the Industry 4.0 era. A qualitative literature review with descriptive analysis was employed, using data sourced from 19 articles selected via Google Scholar from 2014–2024. The findings reveal that AI-based MIS significantly contribute to improving operational efficiency, supporting strategic decision-making, and fostering innovation. Case studies on PT Astra International Tbk, Bank BRI, and Tokopedia illustrate how AI implementation can optimize business processes and enhance organizational competitiveness. However, adopting this technology faces challenges such as infrastructure limitations, digital literacy gaps, and high implementation costs, particularly for SMEs. The study's implications include recommendations for organizations to prioritize infrastructure readiness and human resource development, as well as the importance of cross-sector collaboration to promote inclusive and sustainable digital transformation. This research provides theoretical contributions to the literature on AI's role in MIS and practical guidance for technology implementation across various sectors.

Abstract

This research aims to understand how information and communication technology has an impact on entrepreneurial literacy through the performance of MSMEs. MSME entrepreneurs are the target population in this study, which also includes a large sample size of 50 respondents. Proportional stratified random sampling is the distribution of questionnaires used. The method used in this study is path analysis. The results of this study are that information and communication technology has a significant effect on entrepreneurship & information technology and technology and entrepreneurship have a significant effect on the performance of MSMEs. Meanwhile, simultaneously it shows that the variables of information technology, technology, and entrepreneurial orientation together have a significant effect on the performance of MSMEs. The implication in this study is that the Disperindagkop provides training to MSMEs on the benefits of using information and communication technology more intensively and the training is carried out on target and applicatively as needed. For MSME entrepreneurs, they must be able to take advantage of information and communication technology facilities to increase their business and be willing to take part in training on information and communication technology held by the Disperindagkop and other parties.
